  1. Like Granny Clampett knows anything about football.
  2. He said it all right in the beginning. He/they hate Tennessee because Tennessee turned them in for cheating. They don't hate the folks that were cheating just the ones who turned them in.
  3. It is amazing what affect a little time has on things! As a youngster I could not stand Nebraska. Mainly because ya'll beat us (Auburn) like we stole something both times we played you in the eighties. The Nebraska fans we were around in Lincoln the year we took that ass whipping were smug and downright condescending. (Just around some bad ones I guess) The ones we were around when ya'll came to Auburn and beat us were really nice though. ( I still swear your center was offsides every time he snapped the ball) Since then the other times I have been around any of your fans it has been nothing but class all the way! To the point where you have all become one of those teams that I really pull for outside of my own beloved Tigers. I say all that to say that blanket statements can be way off.
  4. Alabama odds on favorite for another championship. http://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/20...ooll-taaaaahde/ You knew these were not far behind.....

  6. I have a 30 Gig Zune and love it. Use it a lot during work, travel, and jack it into my 360 while I am gaming.
  7. French Chop Down Historic 'Name Trees' Carved by U.S. Soldiers During Normandy Invasion Friday, June 13, 2008 The names "Thomas and Dorothy" were carved in the bark of one trunk. Another said "Bob and Carma." Other trees were marked with soldiers’ home states — Iowa, Maine or Alabama — and several bore hearts and the names or initials of a wife or girlfriend. The beech trees of Saint Pierre de Varengeville-Duclair forest in France bore a poignant testimony to the D-Day landings for more than six decades. Thousands of American soldiers stationed there after the liberation of Normandy spent their spare hours with a knife or bayonet creating a lasting reminder of their presence. Although the trees grew and the graffiti swelled and twisted, this most peculiar memory of one of the 20th century’s defining moments remained visible — until now. Amid bureaucratic indifference and a dispute between officials and the forest owner, most of the trees have been felled, chopped up and turned into paper. Claude Quétel, a French historian and World War II specialist, was horrified when he discovered what he called a catastrophe and a shameless act. "It is a typically French failing to wipe out the traces of the past," he told The Times. "I am indignant." Local people are calling for the few "name trees" that still stand to be classified as historic monuments and saved from the same fate. "It should have been done a long time ago," said Nicolas Navarro, the curator of a World War II museum in the grounds of his family’s 13th-century Château du Taillis nearby. "It’s sad and pathetic that it wasn’t." The beech trees are described as one of the finest World War II relics left in Normandy, but local officials deemed them unsafe. They ordered Patrice Robin, 79, who owns the land, to prune branches overhanging the road. "I said no at first," he said. "But they threatened to take action against me." It costs about $1,200 to prune a beech tree but only about $300 to cut it down. Robin chose the cheaper option. "It’s complete madness, but I couldn’t do anything else."
  8. I guess at least he didn't have a bunch of blow on him this time. http://www.al.com/news/press-register/inde....xml&coll=3
  9. C'mon man. This is the same fan base that buys sh#t like this.... http://www.bamafever.com/Details.cfm?ProdID=109&category After a while you got to expect this mentality. Remember to always flush twice.... It's a long way to Tuscaloosa.
  10. This is all you need to see. High comedy indeed! http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/article/2008.../NEWS/926706899
  11. I can name you 6 that one school claims that are wrong. 1941 National Championship- This is a complete joke. The AP ranked Alabama 20th in the nation with 14 teams with better records in the top 20. Alabama finished 3rd in the SEC that year. 1965 National Championship- The AP gave this to Bama. That year there were three teams with better records than Bama. Bama 9-1-1, Michigan St 10-1-0, Arkansas 10-1-0, Nebraska 10-1-0. 1973 National Championship- AP puts Bama 4th after their bowl game loss. Bama claims a NC from the UPI poll that was taken before they met Notre Dame in the bowl game and lost. There were 3 teams with better records than Bama that year. The embarrassment of naming Alabama number one caused the UPI to name champions after bowl games. 1978 National Championship- AP gives this to Alabama(11-1-0) even though USC (12-1-0) had the better record Guess who Alabama lost to that year? USC!!!!!!!!!. UPI gave the NC to USC. 1925 National Championship- Alabama claims they share this one with Dartmouth. Who awarded the NC? Houlgate and Helms. Houlgate started his system in 1927. So Bama won their 1925 NC using a formula that didn't exist until 1927? Helms Athletic Foundation started in 1941. 1930 National Championship- The Davis poll says that Bama tied Notre Dame for NC this year. This was the only one to award it to Bama. Notre Dame was named NC in 6 polls! Parke Davis is another retroactive system! He (an individual, not an organization) did his in 1933!
  12. It'll never happen. No slaughter for one of the golden calves.
  13. Most of the UGA fans here seem to be in denial. GT will not be a push over game with Johnson here.
  14. Here is an article by a local sportswriter that usually knows what he's talking about when it concerns Tuberville and Auburn.
  15. I don't know what to do. Not sure a playoff solves everything but it has got to be better than what is in place now. Maybe the +1 would work. I know being and Auburn fan and seeing the way we got punched in the junk in 2004, something needs to be done.
  16. Go ahead and keep dreaming that impossible dream. A & M will have to sink a MINIMUM of 10,000,000.00 into getting Tuberville without him even coaching his first game. I just don't see it happening. You got a lot better shot at getting Muschamp or go steal another bama coach.
  17. Me too. Didn't see Alabama putting it to Tennessee like they did. Sorry to any of those who are now farmless thanks to me.
  18. I'm not sure that really has the BCS breathing that much easier? There looks to still be some stink coming out of whomever gets into the farce national championship game.
  19. Put the FARM on UT over Alabama in a pick'em this weekend. As a friend of mine put it....The little ornery munchkin gets his feelings hurt by the great pumpkin.
  20. cally is worse right now. look at it this way. he is on the hotter seat, and hasnt done anything stupid or against any rules. he's just BAD Yea but cally doesn't have a Mcfadden or Felix Jones either. Suffice to say they are all bad! no but I would say we have more overall talent, and are a much worse team. Agreed.
