  1. Come on Huskers!!!!!! Beat Texas!!!!! I know you can do it!!!!!!!!!
  2. Heyyyy you Cornhuskers!!! Auburn fan here. I posted here often as we were preparing to play you in last year's Cotton Bowl. First I want to pass on my dissapointment in Callahan as well. I've been pulling for your team since we played you because our fans and players enjoyed your sportmanship and friendship. As far as Texas A&M is concerned we all know the rumor about them showing some interest in our coach Tubberville. And being non biased I hope Coach Tuberville makes the best decision for hin and his family. I'd hate to lose him and hope he stays. I don't have a lot of respect for Coach Fran. For what he did to Bama. It's one of those things, what goes around comes around. Well I think it's coming around for him now. lol I hope you guys get your program turned around as soon as possible. Thanks for your hospitality last year and hope Nebraska makes the moves necessary to get you guys back on track soon. Gooo Huskers and Warrrr Eagle!!!!
  3. One last note before I call it a night. I hope the KSU fans will learn what true hospitality is when they arrive at Auburn. Auburn folks will reach out to them to ensure win or lose, they had a great experience there.
  4. Skersfan if you're refering to my sis's school of Alabama, it's going to get interesting. NIck Saban should add more fire back to our rivalry with the Bammers. However the big story is Bama going to Baton Rouge in a couple of years. LSU fans can't wait for that. Other than Bama, LSU is probably our second fierce rivalry. However both Tiger teams want to break Saban back in to the SEC with losses. lol I read the link from the KSU site and I have to tell you. True football fans from any team would never ever wish death on someone from opposing teams. I think it's a lack of class and sportsmanship. It's just a freaking game with a bunch of kids representing their schools. My goodness at the hate in some people. This is America. We're better than that. WARRRRRR EAGLE!!!!! Teddy
  5. Ahemmmm.... its me again friends. Sorry for not posting much lately. But been enjoying your forum. Guess who we (Auburn) open with next season? KSU at Jordan Hare. LOL Hehehehehehehehehe
  6. In my opinion an SEC guy here, Bill Callahan stays. I think he knows he's got something brewing in Lincoln. Plus how can you beat the pageantry of college football? It's fun and I think ole Bill enjoys coaching there. You fans hang in there and your days are coming back. You just need to get the right personnel in place. Your not far. You've hung in there with USC, Oklahoma, Texas and Auburn. Think about that. I think Bill can taste better years to come as you guys do. I'm pulling for you and hoping Bill stays in the long term. WARRRR EAGLE!!!!!
  7. LOL!!! This is one bowl victory not worth bragging about lol The whole venue including Pat Summeral sucked. But I gained some husker fans out of it and that made it worth while. lol WARRRRRRR EAGLE!!!!!
  8. Come on Auburn fans!!! Jordan Hare Stadium is the best sports venue in the land!! Vote vote vote!!! We can't let them Huskers beat us. LOL OMGGGG wrong forum. lmaooooooo !!!!! WARRRRRRR EAGLE!!!!!
  9. Didn't Ball State almost upset highly overrated Michigan last season? And no one gave any grief to Michigan for playing them. Because Michigan was sooooooooo good because they beat a highly talented Notre Dame team. lol Well we saw how they fell in the Bowls. lol I have yet to see a Michigan fan on any forums complaining they should have been playing Ohio St now. lol But I bet Ohio St wishes they did play Michigan again. lol What comes around goes around. lol You guys will be fine and I think you'll at the very least be better than you were last season. Beat USC in Lincoln and you'd made your statement. Texas and Oklahoma are beatable. WaKe Forrest played in a conference with no defense. Your defense will stop them. You guys do have a tough schedule and if you're winning, you'll get your respect. Not to mention Texas A&M and Oklahoma St can sneak up on anyone. Texas Tech as well. Tough tough tough schedule. On the other hand, most of Auburn's tough SEC games are on the road. At LSU, Florida, Georgia ect. We have our work cut out for us. We just have a hard time finding tough out of conference opponents that want to play us. Thats why it sucks we have to settle for the lesser schools to fill our schedule. Doesn't help our strength of schedule. All we have to lean on is our tough conference. Thank God Florida smashed Ohio St to hopefully keep the respect on how tough the SEC conference really is with all the speed in the south and great defenses. Would Troy Smith been a Heisman winner if he had to go against the SEC defenses week in and week out? Our pitiful QB Brandon Cox put up better numbers against Florida than Troy Smith. Sure makes you wonder if the Media is comparing apples to apples when they select candidates for the Heisman. That QB from Hawaii had amazing stats. Surpassed every Div 1 QB by miles. Not even close to being a candidate for Heisman. Even though we had two losses. We were the only team to defeat Florida and we defeated LSU holding them to only 3 pts. However we have no excuse for losing to Arkansas and Georgia at home mind you. Yet Notre Dame gets in the BCS having beaten nobody. I stand by my opinion that the SEC and the Big 12 are the two toughest conferences in the land. I think it's hard to dispute it. Maybe the Big East is third. Notice how close the games were between the Big 12 and SEC and when we played other conferences they were blow outs. Including LSU's stomping of Notre Dame. Texas Tech had to come from 31 points down to beat MInnesota. The Big 10 darlings and Notre Dame Stunk it up embarassing the Media and ESPN. I loved it. Wisconsin did beat Arkansas. Maybe Wisconsin was the better Big 10 team going unnoticed under the radar. Penn St beat Tennesse. Go figure. lol Sorry guys, its a Sunday morning , its near zero degrees and I am just rambling from cabin fever. lol Go gettem HUSKERS and WARRRRRRR EAGLE!!!!!
  10. I didn't mean to start any trouble or tension with this thread. Now that the season is over, I thought we could laugh and enjoy some fun humor about the past season. Nothing we can do about it now except move on. In no way was I meaning to insult or disrespect Nebraska, Notre Dame or Ohio St in a bad way either. I'll tell you this though. I'd prefer a coach thats an attacker, than a conservative one that sits on a lead goes conservative and loses it. Bill Callahan, Charlie Weis and Jim Tressel all wanted to win. To be a champion you can't be afraid to take risk. It's more risky not taking risk sometimes. Sure the plays didn't work. But you all have coaches that have GUTS! Thats more than a lot of teams can say. Now lets have fun and enjoy an off season of fun and high expectations for the coming year. We can't win looking back. Just learn from it, work and keep our eye on the grand prize in 2008. WARRRRR EAGLE!!!
  11. Tom Osborne is nothing but class. So many great years watching him coach. I'm sure he's been missed.
  12. Well we have fired Bill Callahan and Charlie Weis. I think we need to fire JIm Tressel for going for it on fourth and one deep in their own territory. LOL Lord if we were AD's in our respective schools, we'd have a zero tolerance policy on 4th downs. lol Either make the first down or your FIRED!!! lol Other than that , no pressure. lol In fact lets bring Ronald McDonald Trump to our games so he can fire our coaches for making a bad call. LOL Instead of the Apprentice, we can call it " The Play Call". lol I thought we could use some humor. It's going to be a long off season. As promised I told you I'll stick around after our game to have some fun. Go Huskers. WARRRR EAGLE!!!!
  13. We were real proud of Florida's showing knowing we were the only team to defeat them and LSU in the same season. The SEC is full of speed and we are used to seeing it week in and week out. Like the Florida player said last night, Florida defeated better teams in the SEC than Ohio St. Ohio St was slow and their one playmaker was Ted Ginn. Most SEC teams have multiple playmakers and can strike from anywhere and not rely on just one player like Ohio ST and Notre Dame to carry the load. I felt before our game with the Huskers our teams were fairly the same. Weak offenses and pretty good defenses. However bad offenses always make defenses better than they really are. Or bad defenses make offenses look better. Ie the Big Ten. Heavily favored Ohio St gave up 80 pts in their last two games. Again the reason the SEC teams don't score a lot of points is we play defense in the SEC with speed. So our offenses don't rack up the points like other conference schools. I don't think the media compares apples to apples when they make their assessments. Plus media bias don't help us either. But they sure embarass the Michigan's, Ohio St's and Notre Dames who all got clobbered in their bowl games when they were all picked as favorites to win because they played lesser opponents during the year. With all that said, you guys are close and if you find some offense like we have to do, maybe just maybe we might see each other again in hopefully a close scoring national title game. I'm pulling for you. Warr Eagle!!!
  14. I saw that Eagle and wondered the same thing. I don't think it was ours. It didn't have a smooth landing like our Eagle does at midfield. It was kind of clumsy or still hungover from the Cotton Bowl Party. LOL I don't know. lol
  15. Here's my thought on calling the fake punt. Being that deep in your own territory, us guessing you were going to run a fake would have been minimal at best. The further down the field you were would have increased the potential for a fake in our minds. It's just a play that didn't work. Regardless your team is getting better and you guys have a lot to look forward to. Take this loss out on the Big 12 next year and win it. Go gettem Huskers. WARRR EAGLE!!!
  16. The SEC is an exciting conference. We live for football year round. I live in Washington State and my Auburn flag flies proudly outside of my home on my flag pole. However I never see any Wash St or Washington Huskies flags flying anywhere. The south is different. College football is a huge passion. I grew up in Birmingham and always saw Auburn or Alabama flags, signs , ect posted year round. I have been to some Big 12 games in Austin, College Station and Lubbock and the crowds can be electric their as well. I've not gone to Lincoln to experience a game yet. I'm sure it's crazy there too. WARRRR EAGLE!!!
  17. LOL!! Beating up on Alabama the last 5 years has kind of made the game a little insignificant. Our biggest battle every year has been against LSU. We always match up well and the game is usually decided by 7 pts or less . We had a hard hitting affair with LSU earlier producing a 7-3 win over them. The best our defense played all year. A complete in your face smash mouth hard hitting game with Jamarcus Russell running for his life a lot. He's a hard one to bring down. However our offense stunk it up a lot. Now that Saban has joined the Tide and all the hype going towards TuscaLosers, it might make for a more rejuvinated rivalry game again. lol I hope so. One final thought though. Pretty much every SEC game is a bitter rivalry. The fans just go nuts when we or their teams finally hit the SEC part of the schedule. NO different than the Red River Shootout or your game against OU or Texas. FUN FUN FUN!!!
  18. On a lighter note. Your volleyball team can play ours in a volleybowl. LOL !!!!! I'm sorry guys. Just wanted to bring a smile to the Husker nation.
  19. I think you guys are going to have a great season in 2007. Heck we are still trying to find teams to fill our non conference schedule for next season. Wanna play us? Lets do a one and one where you come to Jordan Hare and then next season we go to Lincoln. That would be way cool!
  20. I've watched Nebraska over the years. What I miss seeing is the constant pounding you guys use to put on the defenses and wearing them down. Nebraska was always feared by their huge physical offensive lineman that could move the line of scrimmage like nothing. I saw shades of that against us. You run right at us and pick up 5-7 yards a carry. In the south we thought maybe if we ate a lot of corn on the cobb, we'd grow up and be huge like them Nebraska players. I ate a lot of corn and it didn't work for me. lol What I don't understand these days, is when you know you have a team on their backs and they are tired, why let up and throw passes? Go for the knockout. Pound that defense. Sure you have to pass to keep a defense honest. But lord I think if you guys kepted coming at us with the running game, you'd done to us what Arkansas did to us. They ran through us. Not around us. Take advantage of your big lineman and run the ball and beat the defenses up. Throw a long ball to keep the DB's back off the line of scrimmage and an occasional pass of some other sort. When you are running well, you are controlling the game. Just my two cents. Go gettem Huskers!!
  21. Cheers my Husker buddy!! To you!
  22. Other than a few players jawjacking each other on the field which is expected in a game. I thought the overall sportsmanship was great amongst players and fans. A lot of Auburn fans relate to you Husker fans. Our teams were similiar and our fans are similiar. Thats what you call CLASS. Now lets go find some offense for crying out loud LOL WARRRRR EAGLE!!!!
  23. I bet when we see Boise St schedule to play on TV next year the number of viewers will grow as long as they keep winning. I can't wait to see Boise St play again.
  24. IFFFFFFF and thats a big Ifffffff. Florida upsets Ohio St. Would that make Boise St the best team in college football getting the shaft? I'm SEC biased, but you have to wonder. Should it have been two unbeatens playing in Glendale. Ohio St vs Boise St? Florida lost one game. Florida vs Oklahoma would have been a great game. If you're not going to recognized the WAC conference and call it too weak. Why allow them to be in the BCS if their teams have no shot at playing in the championship game?
