Our perform is so up and down it makes me think that maybe the youth on the team is a bigger factor than I thought.

Could have something to do with the WKU defense. So are you saying we should just write off every player's performance because of the opponent or just Cody Green's? Neither. Just saying that having 2 QB's both look good might have something to do with the opponent. I'm certainly hopeful that the QB's really are good this season, but I'll wait to see a few games and hopefully against a decent defense before I'm convinced.

Paul is having a heck of a game. Up then down then up again. We really need him to play better this season.

Other than Martinez's running, I'm pretty underwhelmed with this game by the Huskers. But it is the first game, so no need to get too worked up over it.

I'd like to see what the other 2 QB's can do. And hard to judge Martinez until he plays against a decent defense.

turner will probably play cb or safety. i think he knows that. most schools weren't recruiting him for qb. Hehehe - it's like the Martinez discussion all over again.

Martinez is tearing it up on the ground!! For the people watching the game, how does he look passing? Is he staring down receivers or going through his progressions, etc.?

We looked really good early and have faded throughout the 2nd quarter. I think taking Martinez out really hurt our rhythm.

So why did Green come in for only 1 series? Why not keep Green out there or not take out Martinez?

I don't do bandwagon like a bunch of fanboys. I support whoever BP puts out there. That made me literally LOL.

I usually have a systemic approach when placing players into categories. Starting punters, kickers, punt returners, and kick returners go into major contributors. For starters, my cutoff is that they have to have started at least a half a season. Perhaps I should increase this number to a full season, but for now I think it suffices. I disagree with zoogies, your breakdown looks pretty fair and well-researched to me. It'll be interesting to see how this analysis looks mid-season and post-season.

Wow, this season is shaping up to have the most divided fan base since the pre-Pelini days. I'm not even quite sure how we got to here - last time we saw the team in a game they were routing Arizona. Those were happier times.
