  1. A week ago, that was a INT waiting to happen. And if Martinez wants to get on the highlight reel with his arm, he needs to keep dumping off short, high percentage passes...and then...
  2. Hurt it @ Wisky IIRC. Obviously. What's the injury? Maybe he lost a battle with the soap dispenser at the WI airport?
  3. We're already in FG range, yes? Not bad for a series that's two min old.
  4. Ameer Abdullah is going to convert me by the time he's done at Lincoln.
  5. I dunno. I'm just glad it doesn't have Big XII on it.
  6. No, it was a toasted bagel, and he had an espresso and read the Saturday Lincoln Journal-Star to boot.
  7. Wonder what's going on, coaching-wise with the defense. We can point towards our secondary coach change as a possible problem there...but there shouldn't be any dropoff with our D-Line from last year to this year...
  8. David is the only thing on this drive keeping us from looking like complete arse on defense so far...
  9. Then you're not watching the right games. Indiana/Illinois has been good so far...
  10. That's not how this works--Missouri has to 'apply', and the SEC approve said application. Of course, Missouri won't apply until they have a wink/nod deal with the SEC beforehand. But after their "SEC is the second choice" comment in the press this week, I'm sure more than one SEC school is rethinking bringing Missouri into the fold.
  11. BuckeyePaul--don't forget that Ohio State still has their defense to hang their hat on--their defense is what we expected our defense to be this season.
  12. I've looked online, and it appears we're not the only evening game on tap for ABC: Miami (FL) at Virginia Tech, 8pm (EST) Ohio St. at Nebraska, 8pm (EST) Additionally, the cable channels are loaded up at the same time as well: ESPN Vanderbilt at Alabama, 7:45pm (EST) ESPN2 Auburn at Arkansas, 7pm (EST) ESPNU Georgia at Tennessee, 7pm (EST) Soooo...since there's not a reverse mirror, does this mean that some folks (read: ACC country and the south) will be shafted out of the Nebraska/tOSU game this Saturday, or have we heard that there will be a backup/reverse mirror elsewhere for out-of-footprint folks for the evening game? Nevermind, apparently I was looking at an old media guide? ESPN now has the Miami/VTech tilt at 3:30 EST, so we're supposedly the lone Saturday night game. Mods, please feel free to mock accordingly.
  13. Momentary hiccup. The markets alone make Missouri worth the price of admission into the conference, and that price is likely to be in negative territory when the CBS rights go out to auction.
  14. Now you tell me. Where was this advice an hour ago? Says you, Walksalone. As soon as I saw the large color lettering, I *knew* that this was an important point that was 100% correct. It's internet law or something.
  15. Sometimes being a brother is calling things the way they are--especially if your brother can't see that for himself--even when it's painful or possibly even destructive to do so. Being part of a family isn't always convenient or politically correct. So you advocate standing on the street corner shouting to the neighborhood the problems that your brother is having in his home? I do not. No, but I never advocated the channel of communication used, and I probably should had clarified that. And I'll agree that the tone of Dillard's message leaves something to be desired, but it's truly not that different than what we've discussed here or what has been discussed on the radio by other former players. Hell, we had a whole thread dedicated to comparing Martinez's throwing style to that of Uncle Rico's. That doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the passing prowess of the player being compared to said fictional character, to say the least.
  16. And I'll bop you with my cane, you young whippersnapper, if you dare to yell and interrupt my naptime. Now, pardon me while I pen a letter to Dr. Tom asking for Ovaltine to be served at Memorial Stadium. /BlueHair
  17. And Leon's getting larrrrrrrrrrrrrger.

  19. Positives: -O-Line getting better, save for one or two exceptions. Will be a force to be reckoned with next year, and maybe by the end of this season. -We have excellent Wide Receivers throughout the two deep for the first time since Callahan was derping us to death. -We have an excellent backfield, all of which will be around next year. -We have a FB again, and Legate does an excellent job. -Bo was pretty calm and collected, despite the herp de derp going on between the lines. As an aside, I was thinking of "Kimchi Killer" as a nickname for Choi when (not if) he starts next time? Yes? No?
