This game reminds me of the ISU game a couple years ago. Several turnovers in the opposition red zone and NU lost to a team they should've blown out. Total meltdown occurs until NU gets its next win. I will be waiting for our game at Happy Valley this weekend. If we get some help from Iowa we can still have a great year with a very young team.

Look at the talent the LSU and Bama have? Records for the first 3 or 4 years dont mean anything. It comes down to how you recruit. LSU and Bama have a lot more talent up and down their rosters. These two teams are almost always in the top 5 each year in recruiting. NU, not so much. Urban gave some huge props to LSU, saying he has never seen some many tall, anglear, athletic kids on LSU's team. Trouble with that, Alabama out played LSU most ofa the night but continued to make mistakes. The 4 missed FGs, the pass out of the wildcat by an injured WR, the lack of pinning the other team deep with field position instead of FGs, that is what caused Saban the win. Saying that Bo is on par with Saban and Miles is laughable.

Recruiting is not a perfect science be is sure appears that NU Coulda and Shoulda offerd this young man. This staff just didn't pull the trigger in the Woulda. NU has to face him for 2 more years.

Kain would be our starter over Taylor. We chose to give the scolly to Carnes and that forced his hand. Kenny Bell is a very good friend of Kain's and the I feel if NU would've offered he would've accepted. I remember reading they went to middle school together and remain very close. They went to Platt Middle School and they were a very large part of a good team. It is hard to swallow watching him beat us yesterday when he could've been a husker. The kid is very smart. Offer list was Stanford, Northwestern, NU. Kenny Bell was the draw to attend NU over the other two academic giants. Luck was at Stanford, so I don't think Stanford was a good fit for him.

I was there. traveled 400 miles to watch my first NU game live. Couldn't believe NU couldn't do anything against that team.
