  1. Your heading misrepresents what the article said. What was said was "....Nebraska might have been scared to stunt their defense, because it might create big holes..." This is a far cry from saying USC thought NU defense was scared. Carroll was afraid to put McKnight back into the game because he fumbled. Does this mean USC was afraid of the NU defense? Of course not. Stop taking things out of context trying to whip up hate. If you want to steam about something there is plenty to steam about, you don't need any fictional creations.
  2. See, even really good teams make stupid mistakes.
  3. If the defense turns around this year, and I think they can, then at the end of the year you can look back at this as its turning point. This is what leaders do. They don't consult anyone else. They do what they know is right. They act unselfishly and decisively. Not trying to cover for your linebackers, but one thing I have thought is that with your inexperienced D-line, perhaps the backers are playing their position with an eye on helping the linemen. Whatever, any good linebacker will tell you his job is a lot easier if the tackle is playing well. A lot of people talk, cheer from the sidelines, etc, but Zac is leading out front and by example the way leaders should lead. GBR!
  4. Thats me baby! USC first, Huskers next. Fight On! GBR!
  5. 56-78 Yes, that's the line on a Vegas site I looked at. Great news!
  6. OK. I was a bad boy. Back to football! Texas sucks.
  7. Thanks. Cheer up guys its not the end of the world. You are not that bad. Read this and laugh
  8. Oops. Thought you would like this from Trojanwire.com This Poor Kid Chicago , IL (AP) - A seven-year old boy was at the center of a Cook County courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the Child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Team, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.
  9. That is strange... but i do know that Appalachian St. is HOT HOT HOT! I agree. Appalachian is HOT,HOT,HOT! I hope everyone has seen that cheesey video.
  10. Texas is deep fried. Thats why you have a panhandle.
  11. I saw the thumbs up but I did not see the fist pumping. Agreed. that should not be tolerated.
  12. First of all, I got now joy out of how lopsided the victory was. I don't like to see my buddies lose like that. I got no thrill seeing that score run up the way it did. I thought if we played well we would score in the 30's but not this! I also knew we could lose. I also know anything can happen. Anything did happen. Some were expecting the "anything" to be an upset, but the "anything" was a blowout. Two main points I want to make: 1. Matthew Zemer of CollegeFootballNews.Com said, "Nothing Callahan was going to do would change the ultimate outcome" 2. The talent level at SC is extremely high. Two weeks ago two former defensive players from the 03' and 04' USC NC teams spent the weekend at my house. These guys have four NC rings between them, and they said they were amazed at this year's talent. They said it was better depth than when they were there.I have said all year this SC team was loaded. Now do you believe me? I also mentioned our conditioning was better and I was almost laughed off the board. Now do you believe me? Remember how Michael Jordan made jump shots look easy. Then you realized it looked easy because he was that good. Well, this SC team is going to make a lot of good teams look good. Nebraska is not as bad as this game made you look. Remember your Outland Award winning nose guard Glover? He could blow up a offensive line single handedly. Well, Cedric Ellis is that kind of guy also. He didn't play against you last year he was hurt. Your O-line wasn't that bad, the D-line you faced was that the good. The two interceptions were caused by defensive end Kyle Moore, the only person on the defense that didn't start last year. Keller played much better against us this year than in 05' and your O-line protected him better than ASU's did in 05' even though our Defense is better this year than in 05'. I thought Keller played better than Booty, and Booty didn't have people in his face all night. Your defensive backs played much better also. Grixby was not the same. Much improved. Our WRs stunk. Dropped passes all night. Some of that was good coverage from you Huskers. Your D-line collapsed and your linebackers disappeared. Thats where the game was lost on your side of the ball. But, keep in mind you had to replace your entire D-line and our O-line is better than last year even with the loss of Ryan Kalil. This was a huge mismatch! And yes we got every lucky bounce of the football. We could have lost three fumbles. GBR next week, I can now pull for you 100% now this game is over.
  13. The first player is currently in a Nebraska hospital. On the field, it was believed he had a crushed larynx, pretty serious stuff. The second player had a concussion. After last week's incident with the NFL player, they weren't taking any chances, however. I didn't see YOUR EMT's ask them to hurry up and walk off the field. I can understand sh#t like this said during the game, but the day after! Do you really think this impacted the game? If you do then you weren't watching the same game I was. You can blame the game the loss on your coach or on your players, but this is asinine. I hope that visiting players take note of this Memorial Stadium rule, "Due to potential momentum shifts, injured players must leave the field promptly. Time limits apply!" As far as the apology is concerned, it is accepted. I have said stuff like that in the heat of the moment but have not always had the courage to come back and apologize. Yes, Jesus is watching and he wants us to know this: "...Let them who glories(example people who are fans), glory in this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgement, and righteousness in the earth for in these I delight..."
  14. True. Sorry about the outcome Husker buddies. You can keep your head up. You didn't give up THT...you are one of the classy fans I spoke of on the board. Good luck to the Trojans. Semper Fi!

  16. Come on the board with the name like that? You are a bitter little man-boy. I apologize for this crap from class less SC fans. Who said I'm a SC fan? I'm a Nebraska-hater! I stand corrected. You're just class less!
