  1. but for this season....thenarse will most likely be behind green/wilson and asante. so why not put him at CB??? I love his size and his aggressiveness, 2 things that Grixby wouldn't know anything about! CB - Bowman/Jones FS - Larry Asante SS - Tierre Green/Bryan Wilson CB - THENARSE!
  2. Todd Peterson dropped 2 VERY catchable passes on the drive against aTm, but i guess you can say he made up for it with that 4th down reception. I watch that drive weekly on youtube, and I get chills everytime.
  3. ^^^^ but then again...Phil Steele's Preview has Missouri winning the Big 12 North....so I'm not sure if that is a creditable source
  4. According to Phil Steele's 2007 College Football Preview Magazine.... (Incase you haven't already, I highly suggest you purchase this magazine! 328 pages of pure NCAA Football!!!!) Zack Bowman is the 3rd best CB in the country. Am I the only one that thinks that maybe we move one of our safeties to corner...Thenarse? Green?
  5. don't forget Frantz Hardy's reverse against Texas, that was the play right before Lucky's pass to Swift.
  6. Our starters should be Swift and Nunn? thoughts?
  7. I agree, Nunn does drop too many easy balls.
  8. Mcguffie and Arthur Brown are the only players that i REAALLLLLYYYY want...if we could get at least one of those two, an even brighter future is ahead. if we get both i will GUARANTEE a national championship before they leave.
  9. Nebraska was never mentioned in that NY Times article, should we be concerned?
  10. i only have one player i want, and that is ARTHUR BROWN! Cally and Co. have got to get him N. if he committs, he will start as a freshman, and his brother Bryce Brown will join him a year later!
  11. blaine gabbert? i couldnt care less if pick wouldve committed to us.
  12. every husker fan should have respect for the sooners. i like that "older brother" analogy, very true. GO BIG RED
  13. I, like thousands of members of the HuskerNation, will be making the November 3rd trip to Lawrence, Kansas. I would be lying if I said that I thought this game was a "Slam-Dunk". Kansas embarrassed us in 2005, and was a 4th down completion away from doing it again in 2006. Kansas has played us tough for the past 2 years, but then again, I like to think that we have greatly improved since the September 30th meeting in Lincoln. My high school homecoming dance was almost ruined because of this game. I had my dad text message me updates during the game, and i thought we had it in the bag after we jumped out to that early lead. I remember talking to my dad on the phone while he was giving me the play-by-play during the 4th qtr and OT. My date was getting pretty fed up with me, but is it a really a crime for a die-hard Husker fan in St. Paul, Minnesota to find out if his beloved Huskers will win the game? OFCOURSE NOT! best of luck to the Jayhawks this season, a team I will never view as a guaranteed victory ever again. go big red!
  14. i agree, Cally & Friends need to be in Arthur's and Bryce's ears telling them that when they first step foot in Lincoln, they will have a great opportunity of starting right away. If (by the act of god) we can get Arthur Brown (and then probably Bryce Brown in '09), this will give us a legitimate shot at being the #1 recruiting class in the country for 08. BRING HIM HOME CALLY, BRING HIM HOME!!
  15. Next thing we must do...get a SOLID Tight End! WELCOME TO THE HUSKERNATION BLAINE! GO BIG RED!
  16. i still feel that callahan needs that "big win" this year. we must win at least one versus USC, Texas, and/or (knock on wood) the big 12 championship game. That is my expectation for this year, to get that big win. go big red
  17. With Kenny Wilson's season ending injury, I worry about our RB depth. Lucky and Glenn are our only experienced RB's, and they have had battled injuries throughout their careers. I was impressed with Culbert at RB in the spring, which is why i'd like to see him stay there for the 07 season.
  18. I expect us to go 12-2, with a win in the big 12 championship game against Texas. I love our depth at QB, because (knock on wood) if Keller were to get hurt, i would have complete confidence in Joe Ganz. I worry about our RB depth. I wonder if Major Culbert will stay at RB for this season. you always have to worry about relying on freshman RB's who have never stepped foot on the practice field (Roy Helu and Quentin Castille). I can only hope Bowman will be able to return for the USC game. If he isnt back by then, we have no chance against the Trojans, you can't expect Jones and/or Grixby to cover another 6'5 WR (Patrick Turner). GO BIG RED
  19. whether it's against USC, Texas, or The Big 12 Championship Game, Callahan needs to get "that big win" this year. he can not afford to lose all 3 of these games like we did last year. If we plan on turning the corner soon, we must a atleast one win out of these 3 games. But in all honesty, aren't we DUE for "that big win"????? nebraska 27 usc 23
  20. like ted gilmore was saying during the spring, I worry about the inconcistency of our WR's (besides Purify). Let's not forget, Peterson dropped 2 easy balls on "THE DRIVE" at A&M, Swift and Nunn tend to drop the easy ones (but Swift always seems to make the acrobatic catch...?). i hate to bring this up, but no matter what Nunn does for his senior year (he could be all-american and it wouldn't change), he will always be remembered for his fumble against Texas. Contrare to what i was saying above, I love our WR's. I'm from Minnesota and Nate Swift is my favorite Husker. I remember watching him and Lydon Murtha play at the Metrodome for the State Championship. I agree, i would love to see Peterson move to tight end, allowing Frantz Hardy to get more playing time.
  21. I love our chances against SC. The offense will be more dynamic than it was last year, and we were a fumble away from pullin out the upset against texas! Callahan will get his "Big One" in year 4, and it will come on the night of September 15th, 2007. My only concern is how our DB's are going to match up with their big WR's (Patrick Turner)?
