  1. here are some of my expectations for the 08 class QB Blaine gabbert taken care of RB Collins Okafor possibly another one like that junior college guy traverse pressly but not high on the priorities WR hopefully we can get one of the 4-5 guys on the rivals 100 that list us but at the very least a 250 guy so we'll probably take 2-3 WR TE this is a position we need a playmaker at so hopefully we can take at least one very solid high 3 star 4 star kind of guy this is a position that worries me though. I've heard callahan want's Tim Biere to play defensive end. so he isn't likely who we will get. OL Dan Hoch Baker Stienkuhler Trevor Robinson Bryce Givens the only prospect I can see us taking is a very good center which is the only position we aren't loaded at yet Im also counting on that we'll keep these guys I'll do defense later some time
  2. I guess that means he will be the 3rd ranked OT because micheal brewster will be number 1 OT and matt kalil is ahead of baker
  3. I really don't like the idea of 5 seasons because when you recruit players with high talent many of them aren't going to stay the whole time meanwhile you would have schools recruiting lesser players that stay longer and would beat those teams which would make recruiting lesser players benificial and recruiting high level players less beneficial im assuming that in football they would still be required to stay till junior year overall I don't like it at all
  4. Regarding the quote, ""the Pac-10 is second because of USC", I would like to point out that the PAC 10 (not USC) went 3-0 against the Big 12 last year. Besides our win against you guys, Cal destroyed A&M, and, in the forth quarter, Oregon State exploded on Missouri in their final game. The PAC 10 is not a one team conference. Thats like saying the PAC 10 was a one team conference in basketball in the 1970's because of John Wooten's 10 national championships. The reason the NCAA basketball regionals are the way they are today is because "good PAC-10 teams" couldn't get past UCLA because the regions were then purely based on geography. Because of UCLA's dominance, not because the rest of the conference was weak, the NCAA changed the basketball regions and seedings. Good PAC-10 football teams can't get by USC, not because they are poor teams, but they have to play USC every year. Think about it, except for Pete Carroll's first 12 games(including two losses to K-State), and the loss to Texas in 2005, the only teams to beat USC has been PAC 10 teams. Auburn couldn't do it at home, Arkansas couldn't do it at home, Va Tech couldn't do it at home (well almost home). You guys get a chance to do it in September. But until someone outside the conference beats USC, lets not say those teams in the PAC 10 are weak. Because it saying that, you are saying you are weak also to based on that analogy. Yours is a specious argument. Regards, TarheelTrojan I understand what your saying and I don't nessecarilly agree with husker jack but he might have been saying that because of USC they where number 2 in mandels rankings and the pac ten wouldn't have been that highly ranked of a conference with out the powerhouse that is USC. fun to have you posting and great post
  5. hahahahah that is hilarius, I pitty people trying to sleep with those things outside because it's hard to sleep with 1
  6. I doubt it especially with marlon and cody glenn also factor in the west coast takes forever to learn and he wasn't here for spring if he was here for spring then maybe he would see significant PT but I would like him to redshirt this year. like I would have like marlon to redshirt his freshman year the west coast just isn't an offence you see significant PT your freshman year especialy at RB
  7. I know I swear half the time they think they're doing nascar or something NO YOU CAN'T COME BACK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME HOLY CRAP ARE YOU KIDDING ME THEY JUST SCORED A TOUCHDOWN AND I DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO THROW ANYTHING AT THE T.V. OR KICK THE DOG!!!!!!!!
  8. oh thanks I didn't see that until after I posted that thread I guess we could have just kept this going
  9. rivals just came out with their first seven 5 stars. Blaine Gabbert is not on the list which means he is likely a very high four star hopefully with a standout senior year he will be vaulted into 5 star status here is the LINK also 6 more will be out tomorrow and so forth till friday counting down the 5 stars
  10. On Rivals it says we're on his top three along with Okie state and mizzou
  11. Just as long as this isn't how I find out about him getting kicked off the team im fine
  12. "they say terrence nunn and mo purify are the best WR combo in the big 12.....we're here at spring practice to prove them wrong."
  13. the best part of that unsportsmanlike conduct interview was when kugler asked him if he was going to do the same thing as a past missouri QB, and then he paused and said ..."no I won't pull a josh freeman" and they both started cracking up. and they used it as a promo all of today.
  14. I looked on the coaches target list on rivals and Arthur Brown was on Ted Gilmore and Dennis Wagner's list
  15. I listened to the Crabtree interview and said that gabbert would be in the 28 through 35 range of their top 100, not the #1 QB, the #1 QB will be Terrelle Pryor who will be the #1 in the country. So Blaine will end up being high 4 star or very bottom 5 star.
  16. what time was he on unsportsmanlike conduct? I swear I left my radio for like 10 minutes the whole time well I guess I picked the wrong time to leave man I was waiting for that
  17. my biggest problem was us big 12 behind the BIG EAST???? that is ridiculous. aside from that the big 11 is and always will be overated thank goodness he didn't put them ahead of the pac 10
