  1. It was awesome. After the blocked Field Goal you kind of sensed the tide turning. As the game went on, you saw the fire back in the Defense's eyes. When Nebraska held them out of the End Zone when they had to go for it on 4th down, the Bar I was at that had the game on everybody and I mean everybody stood up yelling and was "Throwing the bones".
  2. Nice video! I guess the announcers booth was near the louder side of the field? At least the Cornhusker fans are loud when something is going on that is exciting. Hopefully when VT comes to Lincoln the fans will be even louder.
  3. Were looking at 2-0 and it's a winning season so far! Why turn on Bo? Nebraska is learning from their mistakes and will keep getting better. A win is a win too. Imagine if we still had last years coaching staff. Nebraska pulled away in the 4th. How many years did Osborne do just that? The Cornhusker Players are proving that they are a team with heart. They could have rolled over and died and allowed them to take the lead in the 4th, but the Huskers held them to 3 and on the kickoff, it was taken back for a TD. If you look at Overall yards, (Kickoff for TD, Suh's interception) Nebraska is the leader.
  4. I don't know why, but the more I see/hear from Coach Pelini I see him having an Osborne like stint at Nebraska. 22 years plus, and National Championships.
  5. Looks like my view of KSU took a turn for the worse. Not that is was that good from the first point. At least we know one thing came good from Kansas.. Brook Berringer. And his Mom is awesome too. Of course she was a Cornhusker Fan. I hope the other KSU fans who see the pick rise up against the classless fan or fans who are supporting it.
  6. Does Bo Pelini chew Big Red like Osborne did? I remember seeing something on TV how someone who was in charge of having Osborne's stuff all ready for him at game time (Headset, Playbook, etc..), would have 2 big packs of Big Red gum ready for him. You know, Barry Switzer used to smoke on the sidelines. At least chewing gum is a less nasty habit. Who is the coach in College Football who is eating sunflower seeds on the sidelines and is spitting them out and looks like a frog? I think he's the defensive coach at VT, bit I can't remember...
  7. 14-0 would be freaking awesome! Imagine if Nebraska won the National Championship in '08 I think Husker Fans would be at 72nd and Dodge by the tens of thousands.
  8. I always wear my # 5 Jersey, and I have to have a back shirt underneath. The black shirt usually changes, it just has to be there. I always try to wear a husker cap too. On game days, when I get up I have to play Sirius.
  9. I had planned to watch the game at Brewsky's in Omaha on 84th and Park Drive, but when my wife and I stepped in, it was packed tighter than a can of sardines in there, and no seats. So we tried going to The Varsity on 96th and Q St, then The Varsity on 144th, then Brewsky's on 156th, Oscars... Each had the same result. Finally, we ended up at The Draft House on 180th and Pacific. SEATS!! well, there were like 5 tables left anyway. I sat down and got ready for the game. It got me to thinking about the point where you'd have almost an empty bar when a Husker game was on. The anticipation for the game to start was awesome! and Fans cheered and strangers high fived and we raised up our glasses against evil forces singing, "GO BIG RED!!" Husker Pride is back!!
  10. Yes, there were mistakes, but Nebraska will look at the game film and know what they have to work on. Western Michigan needs to be given credit because they didn't roll over and die in the second half. A win is a win, and the most important thing I saw after watching the game is that Nebraska played with heart.
  11. Ok, so it's Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, but I found this on youtube, and I've seen highlights done to it, but just the narration gives me chills. And the song, "Can you feel it" makes me think of the 2008 Huskers. QaADnQzdyP8
  12. That would be awesome! Especially if he'd run them in for touchdowns.
  13. Thank God, I'm working from 8-4:30 today or I'd be pacing a grove into the floor. Although being able to watch College Football all day would be nice too. We're down to just a few hours before kick off. For those of you heading to Lincoln to see the game in person, be LOUD and PROUD. I can't wait to hear the deafening sound of 81,000+ screaming Cornhusker Fans on the TV tonight. I'm sure it will be loud at whatever bar and grill I end up at for the game too. It's the dawn of the 2008 season. Time to truly RESTORE THE ORDER, and get the Cornhusker Football Program back on the right track. GO BIG RED!
  14. Now I understand why they call the ISU team the 'Clones. They look just like USC's uniforms. Anyhow, I hope ISU has a good year. I want the Big XII to be the dominating conference in NCAA Football.
  15. Thank you for posting this. The more I watch this video, the more I realize that in a way Nebraska is doing a 180 degree turn back to what they started with Bob Devany and Tom Osborne. I'm not saying Bo Pelini is the rebirth of Devany, but you can see the fire in Devany's eyes in Bo Pelini's, and Bo knows Husker Tradition. Somehow, I think Bob Devany is smiling down from heaven. Heck, He's probably got a front row seat up in heaven for Saturday's game next to God, because I'm sure God is a Cornhusker Fan.
  16. Right Now, Cornhusker Fans are counting down the hours till kickoff... svcNj0JAWx4 "Don't wanna wait till tomorrow, why put if off another day..."
  17. Personally I want a coach who's romping and stomping. I would love to see when Nebraska does their group thing where people dive onto the pile of players to have Coach Pelini right in the middle of it. I think you're going to see Pelini with some emotion on the sidelines. He'll be high fiving players and giving that "ATTA BOY!" slap on the back. It would be totally awesome to see him do the 3 and out signal when the Blackshirts shut down an offense.
  18. Why not hand out black towels to swing around in the air when the Defense is on the field? I much prefer to see a Sea of Red in the stands. What matters the most is that the Cornhusker Fans are LOUD and PROUD in the stands. I hope that the TV shows how loud it really is there too, I hate when the TV coverage only has the commentators and you can't hear the crowd reaction. That's when I turn down the TV and turn up the radio.
  19. Gz7gajAb2ww "I have come here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all outta bubble gum" - Roddy Piper, They Live. NO RETREAT! NO SURRENDER!
  20. Nebraska needs to play smashmouth Offense and "get in your face" Defense. I hope Nebraska makes WMU get to the point where they don't want to line up anymore. Before the game, I hope the Blackshirts are pacing the locker room like caged animals looking for the kill. Nebraska needs to lay it all out on the field. WMU has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Nebraska can start the 2008 season and the Pelini story off on the right chapter. More than likely, this is going to be a knockdown drag out match till the end. Nebraska should OWN the 4th Quarter and will remind us of Osborne's 4th Quarter wins. Nebraska won't just skate by. They're in for a fight. What matters is how much harder they punch back.
  21. I will probably be going to Muldoonn's with my Wife for the PPV on Saturday. They're supposed to be giving people jello shots every time Nebraska scores, and there are supposed to be some dinner specials. If anybody heads there for the PPV, I'll be wearing a # 5 Jersey and Husker Ball Cap, and high giving a high fives. Muldoon's is supposed to have a good sized outdoor area now too and they'll have TV's out there too.
  22. If we should lose, I don't think it will be from laying down and dying like we did the last few years. I think Nebraska could handle a 6 win season if the Cornhuskers play their hearts out. The 5-6 2007 team played with no heart or direction. They didn't have any identity of who the were. Pelini is etching what it means to play for Nebraska in the minds of the players. It is almost like the problem with the 2007 team didn't have to do with not being prepared, but rather that they were prepared to lose or at least had the mind set in some games that they were already beaten. Pelini should have Nebraska back on the right track. And given time, it will be a dominating program once again.
  23. So the only time the clock stops is if there is a ball thrown incomplete, or if the ball is spiked before 2 minutes remain before the half? I guess they want people to use time outs more often. They stop the clock between punts and kickoffs for TV time outs, shouldn't the 2 teams playing have more control of the clock than the refs? The overall time clock shouldn't be a factor, but how much will this effect the 24 second play clock?
  24. I'd LOVE to see a return to smashmouth football. If teams would have to worry about the run, it really opens up the pass. It was awesome in the past when Nebraska would have other teams worn down by the 4th quarter.
