  1. We'd have to change them? Like Penn State, USC and Alabama have changed theirs? Anyway, to answer the question, Nebraska's contract was signed in 2006 for 8 years, it will exprire in 2013. Dunno about PS and Bama, but USC did. And I don't ever want to see Nebraska in a God-Awful Pro combat uni. They're all hideous. And I gotta admit the pro combat throwbacks for tOSU have been amazing the last 2 years. I think that the Missouri jerseys are pretty BA And the pro combat throwback jerseys for tOSU have been amazing in their last 2 meetings with Michigan. This year's were better.... but they're still very "meh."
  2. I don't like Nike's sizing, because it seems they make everything for short fat guys.

Again, pro combat is just a fit of the jersey, some of the specific school designs may be awful, but pro combat does not mean wild and crazy in all cases. You can't say something again if you haven't said it before.... For the most part, the "pro-combat" uni's are wild and crazy. We're f-ing Nebraska, not Boise State.

  5. No way. I hope we never switch to Nike.... ever. If we did, we'd have to change our uniforms.
  6. Truer words were never spoken, but he still has a more informed opinion than many other draft gurus. He may have some bad opinions, but he knows his stuff. I think he just does it for attention and to be different than big brother Kiper. He could nail every pick from now until the end of time, but after he went full retard with the Suh v McCoy thing last year, he'll always be an idiot in my mind (Mayock too). Not only did he say Gerald was a better pass rusher (which is a lie), but he also proclaimed that McCoy would be an instant impact guy, while Suh would take a few years to be a foce. I live in Tampa, and believe it or not, I've heard radio guys use the dreaded "B" word in regards to McCoy. One guy (former DT for mid 80's Miami Hurricanes) said "Mccoy sits there and play's pattycake all game long, while Suh makes plays." As a follow up, the same radio guy was previewing the Bucs vs Lions game yesterday morning. He said that he though Suh was easily the best DT to come out since Warren Sapp, and in his mind, Suh is the best DT in the league. He thinks that Suh will be an All-Pro this year, and that he is like Reggie White 2.0. All this, from a former Hurricane, who covers the local team (the Bucs).
  7. It was actually a dump. Actually, word has it that he really just thought he needed to fart, and didn't want to do it in the film room with everyone. Only after he got there, did he realize what it was. I heard he sharted, and had to go clean up.
  8. This is the same chick that was Trolling Mike Gundy about Bobby Reid, and caused the infamous "I'm a man, I'm 40" rant. She's a dumb bitch.
  9. The pass interference on Dennard was perfectly fine. Dennard did not even get his head around to look at the ball. Why can't people understand that if you do not get your head around to look at the ball as a defender that penalty will be called on you 99% of the time. The only call I'm really angry about is the roughing the passer, which is an undeniably bad call. Uh, no. The ball was underthrown, and the receiver couldn't get to it, so he grabbed Alphonso and tried to pull him out of the way.
  10. Taylor did not get yelled at for texting. He bucked the trainers and medical staff.
  11. So, making sure your only QB that with experience that can play isn't broken in a game against a bad team is "half-assing it?" Bull freaking crap. The entire offensive gameplan was geared towards getting TM reps, while also keeping him safe. We're gonna have to chuck the ball next week to have any shot at a W. Lee is done for the year. Green was borderline concussed, and wasn't going to play. If TM gets knocked out, it would have been Zac in handoff only mode, and either the Rex Wildcat show, or walk-on Ron Kellogg. Martinez had the clamps put on him for the first half, and he begged to run some in the second. It's called getting a W in a body bag game, and making sure your QB makes it through ok. So when Taylor handed the ball off to Helu and our line not only got zero push, but got stuffed, that's OK with you? I have no problem with the kid gloves for Taylor. I have no problem grasping the tenuous nature of our QB situation. But that does not explain everything we saw. That was clearly a team taking it easy, and if that's acceptable for the team it's acceptable for the fans. We don't have two standards here. It's hard to get a push when the KU D knows what's coming. We ran like what, 10 plays? We got a lead and sat on it, by design. Is that taking it easy, or playing it safe? It was extremely obvious, which is why I don't get the "they weren't trying" crap. Supposedly the Nebraska fanbase is knowledgeable.... but it sounds like we're a bunch of babies. Edit: Please note that I'm not calling you out Knapp. I'm just sick of the whining. I've been to a few different stadiums, even non-Nebraska games. I've seen small fanbases cheer on crappy teams, and it just bothers me that some people feel "entitled" to a blowout or they aren't cheering. You haven't said this, but I've pretty much seen it said in multiple places.
  12. Like Devaney??? Oh wait...... Devaney may not be the perfect example. Uncle Bob didn't last here 30 years because he didn't fit in. Bo doesn't fit in? Please. Just because some fans got all butthurt because they were sitting on their asses doesn't mean Bo's an outsider. When the Tom Dick & Harry announcers on a crappy ass PPV broadcast say something, then it's a problem.

  14. Regarding aTm's speed on defense, I honestly hope we attack them right up the gut. We've proven time and again we can move the ball against anyone when we play north to south. IMO there's no better way to neutralize speed than by dominant blocking and running between the tackles. Also, I see no reason to doubt Martinez' passing ability. Aside from his INT vs KU (his 1st INT in Big 12 play), he's shown a knack for connecting on big pass plays all over the field, and that's a very good thing for our offense. Agreed. They run a 3-4, and the best way to attack it is right up the gut.

  16. Todd McShay is the biggest retard on ESPN by a longshot.
  17. This is a huge key. Notice how we've got guys moving all over trying to get lined up right until the snap, vs last year where they were set quickly, and take a quick glance toward the sideline to see if there were any adjustments.

  19. I captured the game and uploaded a clip of this a-hole. Time to bombard the media.
  20. i do not get this. why is green known for fumbling and the rest of the team is not? the team has fumbled 26 times, were those all by green? the team has a fumbling problem, yet green is the only one we hold this against. t-mart has fumbled the ball plenty of times and they usually kill the drive. so no, i personally do not think we are so 'f'ing f'd' and i am not more 'nervious (sic) then (sic) i was before'. I think it's more of a "fumble per touch" ratio with Green. Twice this season he's come in and fumbled on the first play. As a team, our fumbling has gone down steadily as the season progressed (last week, 0 fumbles & 0 turnovers). Wally Burnham (DC for ISU) has always had defenses that produce turnovers. When he was at USF (I live in Tampa) they always got a ridiculous amount of turnovers. That said, whoever starts, I'll be cheering just like always. GO BIG RED!!!!!!
  21. You realize that with this staff the only "reliable" source we'll get is when they step on the field, right? FWIW, I've heard it reported on another premium board by a respected poster as well. That's all fine and good, but sometimes these rumor threads can get a little ridiculous. The only thing keeping this topic open is that it is being reported on other boards, but rumors can spread fast. I hear you. The "Taylor is leaving UNL to go work at Jurrassic Park" or whatever thread in August was a perfect example.
