  1. Fi we lost to VT, I'll be pissed. They don't have a single receiver with a catch returning, thin at RB, and lost a good portion of their defense. They also have a good chance of losing to ECU... And no way we lose to the kitties.... ISU has a better chance...
  2. The local watch site has confirmed that the three PPV games will be shown. I won't be able to make the first game, but I'l be there for the next two. Marriott Waterside 700 South Florida Ave Tampa, Florida 336 813-221-4900 www.tampabayhuskers.com/
  3. Didn't look too good against Oregon's spread, or did UofO go with their I-formation stuff they lost their starting QB. USF losing their MLB, 2nd in tackles, and the starting corners can't be good either. Their offense should be pretty good with only 1 starter lost and Grother back. Anyway, I'll definitely watch that game with interest. Not sure why all the Nebraska fans want Kansas to lose. I'd like them to be undefeated when the Huskers beat them. Honestly, it was a combination of the team just being happy to be there, and Oregon exploiting the size of the Defensive Tackles. As far as Ben Moffit, the MLB, being gone, that's not much a an issue IMO as Tyrone McKenzie, the leading tackler, slid over into his spot. This bigger question, IMO, is the loss of Jenkins and Williams, the best CB tandem IMHLO... As far as wanting Kansas to lose, KU fan along with MU fan has gotten way to big of a head after 1 season of success...
  4. McCarney was just the Defensive Line Coach. Coach Leavitt and DC Wally Burnham are the real brains, although I do think McCarney had quite a bit to do with Selvie's emergence. Oh, and Cy, I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that Tyrone McKenzie is a freakin' beast, and from what I hear, one of the smartest players in USF history(short as it is).
  5. I'm really looking forward to this game also. I started following the Bulls after watching them thump on West Va. last season. Hopefully they can put together a full season. If USF comes out this year like last year then Kansas had better have it strapped on. I read somewhere that USF specifically recruits its players to stopping Pat White, well WV runs the spread. Kansas also runs the spread with more passing. If they can shut down KU's run game and make them one dimensional, a win will not be out of the question. Agreed, and with KU losing their 3rd RB in as many weeks, it's gonna be interesting. The achilles of USF's defense the last 2 years has been great between the tackles running, which KU won't have this year.
  6. As a USF season ticket holder (my wife's an Alum) I pray to God that KU comes in with the confidence and cockiness that JGS30 has. George Selvie will have 3 sacks, the USF secondary will have 3 picks, and Reesing will be eating the turf in Raymond James stadium, all while the Bulls come away with a 2+ TD win. When they get their asses beat on national Television, and KU leaves the field to a shower of cheeseburgers from the student section (and Mangino eats 6 before he even gets to the tunnel), I'll be standing in section 214 with my Husker gear on screaming "See you in Lincoln, Losers!!!"
  7. Yea... he's always been a bit of a chubbette. Your linebackers will really notice it as he runs past them or blocks on an end-around. I guess we'll have to see now won't we. Your team will be out of excuses this year cause you don't have to play OU and KU gets all 3 powers from the South. You Tiger Fans got your wish. But as long as Pinkel is in control of your ship, I'll rest easy. Don't stub your foot on the opener. We want you undefeated @ Arrowhead, only this time our roles will be reversed. KU will have 1 loss to OU. But only this time we finish what we started during the 2nd half of last years game when we scored 21 unanswered on your Tigers. We'll own you at Arrowhead. Nobody beats Reesing twice. Go Hawks! Dream on beaker.... KU will have 4 losses at that point. USF, Texass, OU, and DONU.
  8. This year's sim engine is borked. I consider myself an above average, but not Hardcore NCAA player, but reading through some of the NCAA Strategies forums, the hardcore dynasty & sim guys are pissed. I've simmed about 10 times for the 2008 season, and I've seen NU do 5-7 to 12-2, and anywhere in between.
  9. Anytime someone mentions the name Bill Callahan, or Kevin Cosgrove, you must boo as loudly as possible. Even in church.
  10. Gameplan only shows broadcasts on ESPN/ABC networks. So, regional games only basically.
  11. Great.... I have Verizion Fios, and live in Florida. I'm screwed...
  12. Living in Tampa, I'll be at the Kansas vs. USF game, cheering as the Bulls beat KU.
  13. We aren't in, because they know we'll win it.

  15. The Annexation of Puerto Rico...
  16. Only 3 against Mizzou? So we're gonna be WORSE than last year? P.S. Kansas won't win at USF either.
  17. "Is the ACC the worst of the BCS conferences?" does anyone pay attention to the big 10 (plus 1)? I think his point is that the ACC is like 1-7 in BCS games?
  18. Pick #25 of round 1, Mike Jenkins, might have had something to with that: It was tough to throw on them last year, but they lost both starting CBs. Trae Williams is now with the Jaguars. OTOH Both the safeties are back, and at least one expert has USF in the top 10. (KU is missing thus far. I'm not sure why folks think USF will have an easier time replacing their All-American CB than Kansas will.) Yes Williams and Jenkins are gone, but they also got Nate Allen back at safety/nickel and with Ben moffit gone, Tyrone McKenzie will blow it up at MLB. If, and I mean IF, they can get a decent running attack from Ben Williams or Mike Ford, Grothe won't be required to run as much and take the beating that he does. They do that, and they'll win the Big East.
  19. They're going 5-7...bank on it. Reesing goes down in game 5 of the season....broken leg when he is "accidently" tripped by the yard marker.... Let us have our day, Cy, don't hurt the Todd. Let the sun shine on our ass for a while... LOL. Cy is still mad over the 45-7 beat down we gave ISU last year. I just tune him out. Alot of people are saying 9-3 or 8-4, but I just don't see us losing to either Texas squad, and USF doesn't scare me. Reesing is undefeated in the state of florida. I hope we beat Missouri this year, but it will be tough. If we're healthy then we have a chance, if we're not, then it will be tough. I'll stick by 10-2...heck, I was the only Hawk fan to predict 9-3 last year and I was ridiculed and laughed at on every board. I guess I was wrong...I didn't have them going 12-1. Kansas will go down at USF, bank on it. Well, I had to look to see if USF has Grothe back, which they do. Plus it's in their house. That being the case I say USF wins a close one. KU is a well coached and probably more disciplined team, but I think USF is out to really substantiate their legitimacy, moreso than KU, and they have a load of talent on that team.....USF wins. I have a tough time getting a read on KU. I think they CAN win any of their tough games, though they probably won't. They will also drop a game they shouldn't--say CU--plus I think Big Red will whoop 'em outta revenge. So I put the Manginos in the 8-9 win category. I think we get USF, but I am not going to say I am sure of it. They have done a lot with their program, they have some good players and they are at home. I think they have done way too much themsleves for me to do more than just say I think we will probably win. They showed last year, they are good and can beat really good teams, so it will be what it will be.... I would predict we will be a slight favorite, by a couple of points at most, and that is probably a fair spread. We'll beat USF. We have the right mind set and experience back to get the job done. KU will be 6-0 before their trip to Norman. You can count on that. I guess I'll just have to come back on here and tell everyone told ya so when it happens. JGS30 Out! All of USF's losses last season were to teams that had very good downhill running between the tackles, and IMO, Kansas won't have that this year.

  21. They do, it just depends who you provider is.
