  1. And that's a good thing? No, no it's not. When he announces I usually get the impression that he's a little slow, therefore I should tolerate him as an equal-opportunity or Americans with Disabilities Act sort of thing.
  2. Hmmm. I would be inclined to think the outcome of the FSU game (win or lose) wouldn't have made too much difference on the next two years. Maybe the stats wouldn't have been as good but you are talking about what is largely considered the greatest team of all-time in 1995, coming fresh off their first NC over Miami no less, and they didn't let up a bit.
  3. Has Taylor Martinez settled in on a position yet? He gets his chance at QB this spring and with Lee's arm surgery, you never know. Burkhead does have great hands, soft enough to caress anything close to him, and tough enough to apply just the right amount of pressure in those sore areas. I do not believe he did fumble this year, the only one I can think of was at Missouri in the rain on a punt return. Which he just fell on.
  4. CJ, although he didn't play there, is a UT homer. The whole thing with his son and TTech really soured him for me but usually he's a "good gosh-golly" kind of good ol' boy.
  5. Gotta cheer for TTU and Georgia Tech, otherwise the nice thing about that is the Pac-10 is 2-5. But also...only 2 teams from the SEC didn't get into bowls? They must really suck!
  6. I have the same feeling. Every time I go to my local watch site, the Huskers lose. Solution: go there more often.
  7. http://j-walk.com/other/goodwife/images/goodwifeguide.gif Oh. My. God. That is awesome!
  8. Never happen. They lose too many key players to be #1 next year.
  9. The 2003 comment was disheartening, though. Those are some pretty simple facts to get completely wrong.
  10. Those were apologies for posters flooding their boards and completely talking sh!t without it being antagonized. Posters like Cornhuskers, etc. I think you're drinking too much Kool-Aid if you couldn't see some posters notched as Husker fans there were complete d-bags up front. The apologies I'm talking about were the ones that started before Cornhuskers started vomiting all over their forum. *I* even apologized for his BS. Ah. Didn't notice those. I know I did for Cornhuskers because he is a douche.
  11. Just curious what OP's opinion is now, after the game that unfolded.

  13. Something about Mike Tyson saying "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."
  14. He runs with such reckless abandon that I fear for defenders' health. FFA
  15. I don't think I'm going to worry. Bo is tasting success here as a first-time Head Coach and, at least if everything I've read is correct, he enjoys being here.
  16. I have never, nor will I ever root for Texas. I don't think it does much to tarnish our reputation, the whole country watched us deserve to win that game even without fielding an offense. We dominated in our bowl game, which received plenty of press and attention, too.
  17. Would you be kind and share what year was? I'm curious to know. The lowest Scoring Defense I've ever seen was Miami 2001. Something like 9.83 ppg or something. Also, I assume the poster was talking about it being an NCAA record. Edit: ran across this gem in a GOOGLing of the best scoring defense in college football history. Really awesome to see how many times Nebraska is high on that list.
  18. No, the scoring defense was not a record this year. It wasn't even first place.
  19. Zona is more than capable of beating us. Never underestimate a Stoops team. On top of that, Zona's OC is Sonny Dykes, son of former HC at TTU Spike Dykes. Sonny was TTU's OC under Leach for a few years before going to Zona. Best believe he'll try and replicate what TTU did to us earlier this year. Air raid, spread. I understand they are capable of beating us, I just don't think they are justified in saying we have never seen an offense like this before. I like that from what I saw from USC's defense I was not impressed at all. I seriously think ours is light-years ahead of USC this year, which bodes well I think, as USC has been, for the last 8 years, the benchmark of the PAC-10. Of course the X-factor is if our offense will attempt to put up more than 100 total yards.
  20. Sam's just the retarded face of a stupid lawsuit. The lawyer had this thing already written up and approached him about it. That said, if this somehow affects EA (which I doubt it will) you can kiss watching games on TV goodbye. If they're gonna go after a video game company regarding an alleged digital likeness, why not go after ESPN, CBS, ABC, FSN for raking in billions on broadcasting real images of these kids? If they win that, we will no longer watch games on TV without paying enormous amounts of money. Didn't think about that, did you? Easy....Colonel Saunders!
  21. They also have a full on erection for USC, too.
  22. I wonder if it is even worth my time (aside from gaining the knowledge myself) to post this stuff on there. Stats never tell the whole story but they can give you a generally good indicator of a team's overall performance in certain areas. Tell them that our defense was good enough to get us into the NC game in '93 and won it in '94. At least we had something to show for it. That's a good point. One guy was arguing how Nebraska's defense had nothing to do with our success with NCs in the 90s. Funny enough, he supposedly "went to school here." I don't think they'd be able to comprehend that after the 1992 season TO and CB went to FSU to learn what made their defenses tick, then the next year we were playing them in the NC!
