This is ridiculous. It's a mild exagerration but there are many many NU fans who seem to be self entitled and have the need to be coddled byt the team and coach. Having sold out since 1962 doesnt make a fanbase great. Supporting the team through good and bad, cheering on the players on every play, not bashing the coach at every turn does make a fanbase great. Staying at games for the entirety of 4 quarters also helps with that. Theres something called constructive criticism, and then there is the type of stuff that has been going around on message boards and other groups that is beyond criticism. It's pure hate and completely irrational. Some "fans" can't think rationally after a loss or even after a win sometimes, and calling for the coaches head on a platter isn't going to solve any problems. We think we can bash on the coach and the players all days long, but as soon as the coach says anything but "The fans here are awesome!" we turn into a bunch of irrational hateful a$$hole$. How about we take everything in context, and put some perspective into each comment and thought and come up with some rational thoughts for once. I for one do not agree with some of what is going on with the program, but when i go to games I stay till the end, and if something doesnt go right, I don't go out to every social media outlet and say FIRE BO! I have my concerns, but Bo continuing as the HC is not one of them. If we are the greatest fans in college football, then how about we grow up and act like it?

I think we need to remove the "Greatest fans in college football" from Memorial Stadium becuase we quite obviously, do not have the best fans.

Damon Benning also isnt a certified a-hole to most people as well.

It's interesting to me that Martinez takes so much heat, and rightfully so, yet Ameer gets virtually no criticism. No one questions Ameer's leadership even though he seems to always fumble/muff punts in crucial situations. We were not likely to overcome UCLA but leave it to Ameer to fumble at the 5 to ensure we have nothing positive in the second half. He runs hard and gives great effort, but i'm not sure why he's still the starter based on what i've seen from Cross and Newby. and i get it, a total team failure, but I've seen enough of Ameer fumbling. TBH, the fumble was just a good play made by Barr. A block was completely missed and Ameer didnt even have time to secure the ball after getting it. It happens, and isnt totally inexcusable but its not all on him. That said, I still don't know why Cross didnt get many carries last game.

why should the fans care about the huskers if that is how they feel about the fans? My point is the players shouldn't care if our feelings are hurt, as they are hurting far more than any of us. They shouldn't go out and be like..."Man, we gotta go out and score a TD for the fans, they would really like that!" They should be like "We need to go out and put a score on the board and win this game!" Some of you seem to have some sort of a "Me complex". The players should care about me and my feelings! They hurt my feelings and embarrass me when they play and they shouldn't! How in the frak do you think they feel? My god.

I like Ameers response in regards to the fans expectations. Our expectations don't mean a damn thing to the players, and they shouldnt. The team and the players are hurt far more than us fans with games like that. Our feelings shouldn't matter a damn bit to anybody on that team.

here's a guy who Beck can't seem to get enough touches......Beck pisses away good talent every year. He's a true freshman in his 3rd game. Give me a frickin break. RS Freshman. Side Note. Gregory is very well spoken.

Im still confident that the team will get their heads on straight in the next 4 games before NW. I predict 1 more loss in the regular season to either NW or Michigan. Michigan still doesnt concern me that much, especially after that Akron debacle that they should have lost.

He didn't have all of them on his big board at the start of the 2010 season. Did I say start? Hindsight is 20/20. Bandaras, Gerry, Gregory, and Collins may be on Mel Kiper's big board in 2-3 years. THIS. Everyone remember the hype for the 2010 Washington game? The spread was 3.5 points and Nebraska was ranked #8 in the nation to a 1-1 Washington team. Everyone was afeared of Locker...he was the second coming and his cleats wouldn't sink when he stepped into swimming pools...which he subsequently blessed and turned into wine. Nebraska SHUT HIM DOWN. He was 22-33 the previous week for 289 yards when they destroyed Syracuse. What did he do versus us? 4-20 for 71 yards with 2 INT's. How about we have a little faith that Bo will get us ready for this one? 2010 was our second best defense under Pelini. A secondary that had 4 future NFL STARTERS, and the best LB we've had in the last decade in Lavonte David. This years D (who could be decent) is no where near 2010. Personally, at the time, we had no idea that those guys would become NFL starters, and had no idea that they would be THAT dominant. Let's give this team a chance to prove themselves before you shoot them down. None of us have any idea how good these guys are going to be.

I really love how so many Husker fans are picking UCLA to win but "experts" are calling for NU. I get the defensive woes of last year but this is a completely different defense(Or new players anyways...) I got NU in this one, by 7-10 points.
