  1. Thank You! Yes, I do! That's why I said that originally.
  2. Hey! Pick another phase to describe the offense. Using the 'R' word offends greatly (I work with mentally challenged kiddos Thanks!
  3. I was really torn on this poll. My initial response was Ohio St. I would just love to see what we can do against them. Frankly, I think we can beat them. But I voted for Iowa because it will be fun. It will be the first 'Farmageddon'!
  4. I really hope they don't show that 84 Miami game. ESPNU has run that game into ground. I want to watch those games where we blew out the competition (95 season!) those games are so much fun to watch. Ladyhawke, I wholeheartedly agree, that game is painful. Let me approach this from a different angle. If you were introducing an entire fan base to Husker Football wouldn't that game, the 94 OB vs. FSU and some of the OU losses help to better understand Husker football? I know we hate to see those games, but shouldn't we also be proud of those games that have helped NU be what they have become? I'd argue the 92 OB where we got throttled by Miami is one to discuss about Husker football lore because that was really the final straw for TO to change what he was doing and the type of player he was recruiting and combined with the 94 OB set us up for 3 NC's in 4 years. We didn't just stumble into the 94, 95 and 97 seasons that was a man that had tremendous success changing what he did to let his teams get better. The 84 OB cemented TO's legacy. Ahh, who knows maybe that just makes sense to me. Thanks so much for that perspective. I've never considered the loses from that point of view. Thanks (It DOES make sense!!)

  6. I was thinking that now that we are part of the Big 10, will this network show any of the archived NU games? The only NU games ESPNU would usually show were the ones where we lost. It would be great to see all of the great ones, especially the championship season games. I know you can buy them on DVD but it would be cool for the rest of the Big 10 to see them. Anyone have an info on the way the Big 10 Network will work?
  7. Wow. Whenever I think I can't take 'no football until the spring game' and then none until the fall, I'll just go to this site and watch the football clip. Nice job.
  8. Without the fans the program dies. It's really as simple as that. I don't know Carl...I am suffering 'Husker Football' withdrawl right now!! lol I think alot of us would croak without the Big Red lol
  9. Why does supporting the team financially, which is a personal choice, entitle the 'giver' to know every detail of the team? I don't see this happening with any of the other teams at NU. It's like being little old lady town gossips. What if we did know about Castille and why Marvin really left? Would that change your giving? If so, then what are you really supporting? Bo took care of those kinds of things privately. He had his reasons. Perhaps if everyone knew all of the 'skeletons in the closets' it could hurt those former players/coaches in obtaining other positions later. Give the guy credit for being discrete. That's a rare quality these days. Bo hasn't done anything illegal here. I say leave the guy alone and let HIM coach. I did not once say supporting the team financially entitles the giver to know every detail of the team. I said, and I quote, we have a right to know (and demand) certain amounts of information from the programs we support. What you are saying equates to investing money into stocks, bonds, etc., but not wanting details about what is going on with whatever you invested your money in. I also didn't saying anything about specific situations, as I could really care less. I'm talking about the right to know general team knowledge. If you invest money into something, you have the right to know what's going on within that entity to an extent. Unless you enjoy blindly throwing money away and not caring what happens to it, then I guess you don't apply to the situation. What do you think your donation entitles you to? I guess that's where I'm confused. How are you defining 'general team knowledge'. I guess when I look at that I think, anyone could know 'general team knowledge' who has a computer or gets the paper. But from the tone of your post (and I could be totally wrong and if I am I apologize) it sounds like you equate giving financially to an entitlement of getting to know the ins and outs of the football team. So could you clarify what you mean when you say that you have a 'right to know general team knowledge'. Because to me you have that already from reading the Husker UNL website or the newspaper. What is it that you think you are entitled to know beyond who the team members are, the positions that they play, maybe a little about where they're from, the coaches, their roles..beyond that what else do you feel you are entitled to know? Thanks

  11. This gutsy team did something our Hallowed Football team (and I LOVE our Husker football team) could not: BEAT TEXAS!!! What a great win!!!
  12. I wonder, though, even if we have the best offensive line and defensive line and win it all there is STILL going to be someone complaining about something (Why didn't Bo dress up for this game!?)lol There are just some people who like to complain. God love em! lol
  13. We also had the top article on the 'Insider'. This is once I wished I subscribed to it! http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/blog?name=feldman_bruce&id=6134815&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncf%2fblog%3fname%3dfeldman_bruce%26id%3d6134815
  14. Great article. This quote made me laugh out loud: "Nebraska has closed the book on the Big 12 (probably slammed it shut and torched the damn thing"
  15. Who would YOU pick for the 50 Greatest Players in Nebraska Cornhuskers Football History? I don't agree with many of these. What do you all think? (Yeah, I know who did this list but it's interesting to consider just the same!) http://bleacherreport.com/articles/393619-the-50-greatest-players-in-nebraska-cornhuskers-football-history#page/51
  16. Exactly. Bleacher Report is pretty much crap. Edit: It is from SEC country too. It said Georgia Featured columnist. I'll give the Bleacher Report this: They DID pick THE best college football team of all time! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/526803-the-10-best-college-football-teams-of-all-time
  17. I think I like THIS list better: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2920557&campaign=rss&source=NCFHeadlines
  18. No kidding plus Nebraska moving to the Big 10 was much bigger news than Tebow's speech. The author must be an SEC man/woman?
  19. This caught my eye this morning as I was perusing The Bleacher Reports. I was sure the Huskers would be mentioned in there somewhere and was pleasantly surprised to see just how high in the 'moments' we were! Check it out! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/600672-college-football-the-50-most-important-moments-in-college-football-history#page/47
  20. We still would have a spot though. We lose a WR and an OC. Garrison fills one spot, but since Beck is moved to OC we have one more spot to either coach WRs or RBs Isn't there a possibility that Ron Brown could be moved to coach the WRs?
  21. Welcome. This is one fun, wacky place!!
  22. So probably No Frost unless he's made Co-OC? From what I've read, I don't think he would come for anything less than an OC job.
  23. Yeah, I posted this early this morning but it either got merged or bumped. No matter. Let's here it for OUR BOY!!! WHOO HOO!!
  24. Exactly! Sam Bradford won Offensive Rookie of the Year. It's pretty cool that both players were from the Big 12.
  25. Ahh! A voice of reason. Well done sir! I was just thinking about how cool it would be for us to win the Big 10 Championship our first year. Now THAT would be news! Maybe Bo HAS to be literal right now. Could there be a chance that there are some legal ramifications in play that we don't know about. The whole Marvin Sanders situation sounds like a really sticky situation.
