No clue, but the timing would be strange if true considering Brown is the Special Guest at a Nebraska Alumni event in March. Northeast Kansans 4 Nebraska I saw that and had the same thought initially, though I imagine he would still be a guest speaker draw throughout the state for the rest of his life - both because of his strong history with the program and his ability to captivate and motive a crowd with his talks. Dude makes me want to go tackle somebody whenever I hear him speak. So I don't think that scheduled event necessarily means he's staying on staff, though I hope it does. I'm inclined to agree with bournehusker here. Perhaps due to the rumored re-shuffling of the staff, maybe he's moved into a new office? It wouldn't surprise me if Brown is taking over the Recruiting Coordinator duties, therefore moving into Gilmore's old office? I have no clue on this but is Gilmore's office near the Compliance office? Pretty sure RC's have to keep in touch regularly with compliance staff, no? I hope you're right. Just throwing this out there, but would there be need to change offices if you are a recruiting coordinator? Maybe so, but I just can't think of why that added duty would necessitate a different office (assuming his office really is cleared out, which is just a rumor at this point). Anyhow, I hope he's still on the staff. Ron Brown is my neighbor, and he shows no signs of slowing down that I can see. That would definitely depend on what you view Christianity as being. Most evangelicals would likely counter that his additional reputation for it isn't additional at all, it's proper reputation for someone that actually lives it out. I don't know any of the coaches on the staff personally and would never dream of making any judgments about where they are or are not spiritually, all I know is that Jesus and Paul both taught that Christians would be known to the world by the fruit they produce, and I see Ron Brown producing good fruit, I haven't yet witnessed that with anyone else on the coaching staff. Like I said, that could very well be because I am only a fan with no connections or no perspective, and I really, really pray that that would be the case There's a big difference between being a Christian and a bible thumper. Believe whatever you want to believe, but don't be shoving your beliefs down my throat. Oh yeah, and if I'm ever near your pastor, tell him to stay away from my zipper. Organized religion is run by nothing but a bunch of tax ducking child molesters. I'll stop now. Yeah, every priest, rabbi, reverend, pastor, imam, and all the countless volunteers, organizers, planners, charity drivers, shelter workers, etc. etc. etc. are all child molesters. I would LOVE to know what it is about Nebraska that says they will wipe the floor with Iowa every year. And I'm discounting any talk of your 5 national championships because they are irrelevant in the here and now. How is that a trollish statement? I live in Omaha I know that Nebraska's only claim that they are better than Iowa now is because of what they did over 10 years ago. How is that not irrelevant now considering you've been through 3 coaches since then and have completely new players? And lost to Washington in the bowl game. ok, hell lets take the from the 2001 season to the 2010 season.Iowa 85 and 41 for a .6746 winning percentage. This is one of the best era's for the hawkeyes in their history Nebraska 84 and 46 for a .6462 winning percentage. This is during nebraska's single worse 10 year period since the 50's. to further continue, Iowa's .6746 is .1445 above their historical average(581 wins 512 losses and 39 ties), where as nebraska's .6462 is .0558 below it's historical average of .702(837 wins 344 losses and 40 ties). To further drill this home Kirk Ferentz from what i can find would be 17th on the winning percentage (with a .597) while haden fry would be 16th(with a .613).

I'm personally willing to trust his word, but that only because anytime he's been confident enough (or excited enough) to let us in on big news, he has always been on the mark. unless they took out a lot of messages that's seriously below par, i suggest visting goemaw after a football loss or during this basketball season, or go to tigerboard. they have great meltdowns.
