  1. I agree here -- Mizzou has a suspect defense and NU a good offense -- I don't see this as running up the score with nearly a full quarter to go (12:52 in OWH) -- college football is crazy these days and this was a way to finish off the game. MU mostly ran after this score, and then went to a backup QB --- for me at least this was not running up the score.
  2. Lucky's numbers would mean more to me, but 40% of his rushing yards came against Nevada -- that leaves about 330 and change against the other four opponents -- nothing to write home about yet. I think it would be hard to be a back in BC's system -- it seems they don't get a chance to break a sweat and be the guy -- all the mixing and changing might keep guys fresh but does little for momentum -- not sure if there are stats to back it up, but my perception is that great backs are "the guy" and get 20 to 30 rushes per game. I have never understood all the swithing -- these guys are 19-21 years old and in shape -- do they really need to stay that fresh? I can see catching some air after a 30 yard burst, for one play, but next play hand it back to the guy and go.
  3. and it probably did not help that ISU's signature win for the year was over Iowa who got hammered at home by Indiana Not that it matters much now, but exacly who should Nebraska be ranked ahead of based on pre-season polling (it should not matter, but does) and results year to date? I think a case could be made that Cincinatti, Clemson and Purdue for sure (I'm mixing polls) After that, I think it's all debatable -- somewhere else someone wrote that the Ball State game is lingering, that's probably true -- and the defensive stats nationally are not helping either -- the original post was spot on -- just gots to earn the respect by winning.
  4. Using this logic, if CU wouldn't have had recievers tip passes for INTs and short fields for OU's offense then the game would have been tied when the duded muffed the punt and NU would have lost to Ball State cuz their reciever dropped a sure six with less than one -minute to go. Games last 60 minutes, breaks go both ways; give the Buffs their props -- they caught OU napping before the Texas game and won.
