The Suuuhhh part was awesome (I graduated Saturday too). No joke, the girl sitting next to me during the "Suuuuhhh" was totally clueless. Here's the conversation I had with her. She - "Wow, he must have been popular" Me (thinking she was joking) - "Haha, funny one" She - "No really, who is he?" Me - "Seriously, he's Suh, a Defensive Tackle that should of one the Heisman." She - "Oh, I see, who was the last person to win the Heisman (for Nebraska), Tommie Frazier" Me (not wanting to waste my time on some clueless chick) - "No, Eric Crouch was" She - "He lived by me" Me - silence

This has been discussed on the KU boards plenty. While there are some fans that don't like the Gill hire, I for one am pretty pumped. So much so that I'm buying my season tickets next week and going to make the trip to Lawrence every week. There was also a good amount of KU fans that were iffy about the hire, but after hearing Gill's first presser are sure he is a guy that will get the program on the right track. The dude for GA can suck it. And if you look around which many of you have there is a site like that for about any coach you can think of.

The damage is done, he's as good as gone. Lew successful ran this smear campaign against the fat man and is getting what he wants. I for one am disgusted with our AD. I do think he has a coach lined up ready for the spot because Lew isn't the type of guy to pull some stunt like this and not have a plan, here's to hoping we don't get another "I'll be your best friend" Terry Allen. This year has been horrible but it sure as hell beats being 2-10 every year and losing by 50 points all the time.

I'm afraid he's out the door. He's a fiery coach, not afraid to get in players faces and rip them a new one if they are messing up. Not so much different the Husker coach. Difference is that we have players whining about it because they aren't getting enough playing time. It makes me sick that the incident causing all the fuss was him poking a player in the chest. In high school my coaches would rip me around by my facemask if I was f'ing up.

I'm still around but wasn't one posting a lot of preseason crap mainly because I was worried about our defense. Now I'm more worried about our offense as they o has been free falling and the defense has stepped it up (really a lot of the scoring has been off of turnovers on our side of the field lately). If KU's offense (er... Todd Reesing) decides to show up it could be a very entertaining game to see one of the top offenses in the Big 12 go up against one of the top defenses (if not "the" top defense). If Todd continues to piss his legacy down the drain, you guys win big. I know you don't have an offense but if you get the ball on our 20 you'll punch it in. I'm going down to Lawrence for the game, and will be cheering my Crimson and Blue ass of. Have fun in Lawrence husker fans!

Actually the faculty / staff dependent scholarship only covers 15 credits an academic year and you still have to pay $3 a credit hour so technically it's not free. And you still get raped by fees and books.

Tech doesn't have a defense. I guess number 3 in the conference in defense behind Texas and Oklahoma means not having a defense. Not that the numbers are impressive. Oklahoma 55 nationally in Total Defense, Tech 60 nationally in total defense. Then offense, Tech 2 nationally and Oklahoma 4 nationally. This is about as even as they get, I think this game gets decided by a field goal, not by 14.

Also, there have been various defensive breakdowns. He could of been up in the press box watching with a better view of what's happening / coaching the new defensive coordinator on what he's looking for and how to fix it...

Mangino isn't leaving... you've got to be foolish to believe some random article with not a single source listed. I could see tension building though, seeing that we lost a lot of assistants last year and that it could of been Perkins saying no Mangino wanting to give the guys the money to stay in Lawrence. Mangino has the program heading in the right direction for Kansas, I mean when's the last time Kansas has been bowl eligible 4 years in a row... never, or even 2 years in a row... never, gone to a BCS bowl, never... actually been competitive in big 12 play consistently, never... etc. etc. He's got the chance to be something really special for KU and I really don't see him bolting. Although if he did leave, I could see the Offensive Coordinator Ed Warriner getting the head spot and in which case, I don't think much would change at KU.

Yeah, Dezmon Briscoe is the man. He was our whole offense in Lincoln too. He was my sleeper coming into the year, but I think everyone knows about him now. He will play in the league someday.... And it does suck. Maybe we will get up for Mizzou and things will come together. Reesing looked bad today, I think he got hurt in Lincoln. Briscoe was great last year and is better this year. Is he only a sophomore?? Where the heck is he from? Was he recruited by NE and if not, why not?! Briscoe's from Dallas if I remember right, one of the recruits the Texas schools didn't want so we stole him. And yep, he was a true freshman last year so he's at least got one more year left.
