Callahan fires up the PS2 and plays a quick exhibition game of NCAA Football 08. During the playcalling menu, he continuously presses the square button to ask Corso what to run. He writes them down and walla....half time adjustments.
You can get all the 5 star recruits in the world but sometimes they don't pan out. If you get a freshman class of 80 oppossed to 50, you've got a better chance of having more D1 caliber players as the class develops
I've never seen a total that high. 68 is ridiculous. Huskers are gonna try to run it now Mizzou's throats to keep our D off the field. And after all the upsets last weekend I'm glad we're the underdog.
GBR!
callahan is not the problem....the head coach of a major D1 program is like a cars salesman....he's getting some good recruits but he needs some help from his coordinators...*cough* COSGROVE *cough*
It's cliche to say but games are won and lost in the trenches. Honestly we should have seen this coming. We lost a lot of talent on the line from last year including 2 NFL players. Our linebackers would be playing much better if we had someone on the line the other team was remotely concerned about.
They seemed flat. I dont want to make excuses for their play but whoever scheduled this game is an idiot. What's the point of playing a crappy MAC school after facing USC and right before conference play begins? Thats just asking for a letdown
"Leach said after Saturday's game that his defense needed to 'work on having a burning desire to be tougher than the guy across from them.'"
that sounds familiar doesn't it?
