I think this prediction is pretty spot on. I'm not sure where the losses will come from, but this isn't going to be an easy year for sure.

due to my secondary profession (web designer), I've taken plenty of copyright/patent classes. He has no case here. As a public figure you have no right to your own image unless it is used as a means for making money for yourself (a model, or someone who signs their body rights away, like tiger woods). He has no such contract, and put himself forward as a public figure. no case my man.

I'm saddened you think that way. And you're wrong about some things: 1. First of all the BCS is in no way a monopoly. If you call the BCS a monopoly, then you have to call the NCAA a monopoly too. Which they aren't, there's the NCCAA, NAIA, and several other small time divisions. They might currently be the only one with big-name schools, but that doesn't make them an exclusive monopoly. Schools have options on who to belong to. A monopoly would be if exxon mobile bought every single oil and gas company in the world, and then had the power to raise or lower prices however they wanted. This is pretty basic economics, that even our government doesn't understand. 2. Just because these no-name schools win every game of the season doesn't make them a strong school. Sure there have been examples of them even winning their BCS game, but everyone can win one big game when the moment is right. The bowl system rewards teams for being strong the whole year long, not just in one final "spurt" during the tournament. I could go on...but I have food on the grill....I'll continue my arguments later

I'm sure you're right blamHusker, but just the notion that our government even thinks its ok to TALK about the situation is too far imo.

No kidding, looking to see if its "fair". holy shi*** think about it. The NCAA is a private company, they have the right to do anything they want. If it turned out that some team had been paying the NCAA to win the national title every year, so be it, it would suck for us, but they are a private company and have the right to do anything they choose. Its just unreal.

Are you *#$@* kidding me? I mean whether or not you are for a playoff system, you have to see that the government is clearly overstepping its bounds when trying to interfere in an entirely private organization like the NCAA. Unreal. As for a playoff system, I seem to be one of only a handful of people out there who actually am opposed to the playoff system. Why? Because right now every single football game is a "life or death" situation for the team. It makes every game invaluable. If we go to a playoff system, no one would care about each individual game, and only the playoffs would get good ratings. Look at NCAA basketball, does anyone care what happens durring the main season? No. I really hope the system does not change, or it at least goes back to the old bowl system.

I don't know what to believe anymore. All I know is I never wanted him to be the starter anyway, so no complaints from me.

if you look at it though guys, we have the top spot because of round 7 picks. Not saying that round 7 is bad....but....our 5 first picks to texas' 14 is probably what people remember. Just a thought.

Does anyone have any news about when tickets go on sale for the 09 season? I want to pick a bunch up the instant they go on sale. I have some time off durring the texas tech homegame weekend, and I'm planning to come up (from texas) with some friends. Any help would be great.

It would be more optimized. The text would fit your screen so you wouldnt have to scroll around so much, much like google, or amazon have a mobile version of their website. I find it tedious to check the website on my iphone, even though its very doable, its just annoying to scroll so much and on an EDGE connection its very slow.

Depends on the opponent. If we are dealing with an oklahoma, I would say the 6-3 would be better. It meant that we played hard and our deffense was ontop of things...as was theirs. Against a Florida Atlantic...35-31 would be better. NOT GOOD by any means, but better than 6-3. 6-3 would mean they didn't let our offense score at all. Unacceptable against such a weak team.

Don't kill me...but I would rather see U2 any day. I don't even like their music that much, but globally they may be the largest rock stars of the past two decades. Just a bigger draw than LTCG. Although I appreciate his husker spirit.

Hi, I'm a web developer myself, and die hard husker fan. I really like keeping up with everything that is going on in the Husker world, and check this site almost daily. I thought it would be really great to make a mobile version of the website. I would be willing to build it this summer, so it would be life for the next season, if I could get support from the other staff. What say you?

blackouts are dumb. why? because we can't pull one off. I would have no problem with a genuine b******* for some special occasion on the condition that we could actually pull it off. Here are the only ways that we could get this to work: 1. Pelini gets on state-wide TV and asks all fans coming to the game to wear black, and gives a descent reason why. 2. Those entering the stadium without black shirts on would be given free black shirts to put on. 3. It only happened once a decade Obviously pelini will never do that, and obviously the school wont pay for thousands of free black t-shirts. And obviously if it did magically work once, people would want to do it all the time for ever "big" game, and it would ruin the already beautiful tradition of the sea of red. THIS is why it should never happen. Do I hear an amen?
