  1. I'm going to be at the game too, somehow, I just feel strongly we'll win this game. No idea why, its not like they've given me a whole lot to hope for. Anyone doing any pre-game husker meetups/tailgates/bars parties?
  2. I'll be there. Anyone going to be tailgating? Any husker pre-game parties?
  3. Last year was Bo's defense. You saw that. You are seeing it again. Confusion. Mis-assignments. Bad assignments. No real-time coaching adjustments. Lets hope some half-time adjustments are made. Again, we win this game guys --- worry not. But the coaching problems seem to have remained. Man, I have such a hard time believing this is his defense after the way he turned us around in 08. I think its a lack of talent, poor recruiting. Or maybe carl was the real genius
  4. Bo's not happy with 9 wins. He clearly has learned to internalize a lot more of the fight. He hasn't been as openly angry on the sidelines, but you can still sense the fire burning in his belly. He doesn't look like a caged demon after post game press conference, but you can sense a subtle undertone of dissatisfaction with how his plan played out. He is a first time head coach, and I really think he is learning a lot. His teams will keep getting more focused and wise. For example, look how quickly A. Green evolved this season. The future is still bright.
  5. wow...do we really need to hurt our recruiting any more than it already is?
  6. Everyone should read this story. Its not really controversial, but is like a nice cooling salve on the burn that has been this past week. http://bigrednetwork.com/story/on_expectations1/
  7. hope he leaves then. sounds like he's poison to the team
  8. Because even though he carried our team, he doesn't have spectacular, jaw-dropping numbers...not yet anyway.
  9. Ok, watch the video. Everyone throwing BO under the bus if full of BS. This was a bad loss, a BAD loss and these bad losses need to stop happening...they will. He's a first time head coach, and frankly still feeling his way around how to instill the right work ethic into the very blood of the players. The D used to be good and isn't anymore, but I'm so glad BO is the one working the HC position, he is still no-nonsense, and his press conference was basically "Look...we have nonsense on our team...I need to find it, purge it, and never let it come back". I'm confident he will succeed with time.
  10. Some intangible positives: we do always seem to kick it up a notch when we're on the road, and we play to the level of our competition. Sucks when we play non-cons at home, but hopefully those facts pan out in the players next saturday.
  11. I just keep watching that video clip over and over and over and over. I'm on a business trip in a hotel room, just sitting here laughing with joy at that hit. On a different note. I do really like price. Glad we don't have to play them again too. That kid is pure dynamite.
  12. I hope you're right, the momentum of a win like that could carry us......a long way
  13. You know no matter what coaches and players say, everyone is overlooking wyoming. Fine by me. So lets start talking Wisconsin. I've watched all their games so far, and they look rock solid. Their game against OSU was immaculate. Even though somehow only 35 (ha...only) points got on the board, it was one of the most dominant performances of the season by any team. Realistically, we have to improve a lot in the next two weeks. Its doable. I give us a 20% shot at WI. Any takers?
  14. I agree with everything you said...except that we had a good game against washington
  15. A wise man once told me, never take the under on your own team...then you feel disappointed if they score big.
  16. Shhh....so did we. but yeah, this guy is either a husker fan trying to galvanize the base, or a total tard...
  17. Bo has this exact same attitude even during games we are winning by a large margin. People only find it a problem when we're getting hosed by referees or when we are losing. The cameras intentionally trail Bo every game, which is obvious from the interaction they caught of Taylor and Bo. I think the fans need to take a chill pill more than Bo. Did he go too far? Yes, and I don't think there is any debating that. But to think the team is segmented and torn is just down right silly. I actually love the fire Bo has. I don't mind his yelling, and tirades. Last night was different though. It was borderline childish what a temper tantrum he was having. Rather than stepping up and figuring out how to deal with the situation he spent his time, and his timeouts yelling at refs. Unproductive. Its an example that is bleeding over into his players. Rather than deal with the bad situation, they would rather complain about it. You could see several times on the field some lackluster effort after bad calls, or pelini chew-outs. I'm sure the team stands behind bo. If you listen to the press conference, bo totally blames the game on the refs. If I'm a player I'll support the fact that the blame belongs elsewhere any day.

  19. Like a lot of husker fans, and probably a lot of husker players, I'm flat out disappointed. Im disappointed we lost the game, disappointed at the ref's calls, but mainly I'm disappointed at our team and our coaches. Yes, we had bad officiating last night, but our staff was out of control. We made terrible play calls, and terrible adjustments. Whats worse, the emotional reaction was unforgivable. Our players were tense, and they should have been. They probably would have rather stood on A&M's sideline than their own. Pelini and wrecking company were little tornadoes of bad morale and pure bitterness ravaging the sidelines. The team felt segmented and torn. It wasn't the Nebraska anyone wanted to see. I'm not throwing in the towel on Pelini or anyone else, but the entire team, and all the coaches need to sit down, and take a serious chill pill. I'm going to sound a little "kumbaya-ish" here, but they need to get on the same page, frankly, there should be some apologies that go around. The coaching staff needs to learn the value of respect. Respect for their players, their other coaches, and even refs who give terrible calls. We shouldn't have been treated the way were were last night by any officiating crew, but at the same time we didn't just stoop to their level, we went ahead and buried ourselves under their level. The coaches need to be careful before they get called to answer at an international war tribunal for crimes against humanity. I love Nebraska and Husker football more an almost anything. Pelini and company are smart people. They are going to understand really quickly that their actions are poison to the team. They will fix it, and under the cool collected leadership of Osborne this will be a non issue a year from now. But this is a dark time in the long tradition of huskerdom.
  20. I wish I knew why, but look back over the last 2 years, we flat out suck at home. Our teams never show up to play. I know everyone will disagree on here, but for some reason rd games are catalysts that make the team come together, home games for some reason make the players limp noodles. It's like they try to downplay the hype until they can't play.
