  1. please don't take this the wrong way, i have a lot of respect for what brook berringer did, but would brook berringer be the legend he is had he not died so tragically?
  2. hindsight is always 20/20 90% of husker nation was expecting, and had no problem with, Sam Keller being the starting quarterback. AND, the offense didn't lose us games, defense did. Remember, If Joe Ganz is almighty, and I'm a big fan of the kid, don't get me wrong, but if he was truly the answer, wouldn't he have found a way to win in Lawerence?
  3. Anyone see a resemblance of the way Joe Ganz plays, all the while so team-oriented, to the likes of Brook Berringer? Just an observations I've made reading everyone's comments about him, and my past knowledge of him.
  4. I really thought I was the only one too. It may be easier to get a great head coach next year anyway, there potentially could be a lot of big name schools out there to snag the coaching talent. Wait a year, see what happens. plus, the offense really isn't awful, they just sputter when the d falls a part
  5. guess we know why ganz wasn't in at the end of those blowouts.... fear of production
  6. someone will ask him a question, and he'll give a complete different answer, not even address the actual question, you know, the callahan signiture
  7. "Then fire him," Gary O'Hagan said, "Listen to how stupid you people are. You people need to start studying soil content or something. Why don't you find out how many pair of socks get washed every day in the locker room? Tha program, and the media is contributing, is self-devouring. You know how when flesh starts eating flesh? That's what's happening down there."
  8. Husker coach Bill Callahan said Monday morning that Sam Keller is out for the season with a shoulder injury. Joe Ganz will get his first start against Kansas, which ranks fifth in total defense. "He'll be out for the season, (with a) shoulder injury," Callahan said. "I would prefer that you speak to him and let him discuss the injury. His injury will take him out of the season this year. He's done a tremendous job for us this year. I couldn't be more pleased with the job he's done for us." About Ganz, Callahan said: "We've given our backup quite a few reps during course of season, so Joe is very well prepared and very well prepped ... He'll be competitive on Saturday, he will give it his all. I think our team and staff have the utmost confidence in his ability." Callahan said Patrick Witt and Beau Davis are fighting for the backup spot behind Keller. Also of significant note, Callahan said linebacker Lance Brandenburgh also suffered a shoulder injury that will keep him out the rest of the season. http://www.journalstar.com/blog/huskers.ph...p;tb=1&pb=1
  9. COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Missouri safety Cornelius "Pig" Brown ruptured his right Achilles tendon in the fourth quarter of Saturday's 42-28 victory over Iowa State, a big blow to the Tigers' improving defense. Brown, a senior, was carted off the field late in the game after coming up lame while pursuing a play. Twice this season he has been Big 12 player of the week. He had 10 tackles, one for a 5-yard loss, before the injury. "It's going to hurt," quarterback Chase Daniel said. "He's a captain, he's a leader and he's been playing unbelievably well these last three or four weeks. "To lose him would be a big blow but that's why we have depth. We'll adjust." Brown, who joined the program as a California junior college product last year, was the conference player of the week for the second time last week. In a 41-10 victory over Texas Tech, he had 14 tackles, 4 1/2 of them for a loss, an interception and two pass breakups. He moved into the starting lineup this year after getting one start as a junior. Del Howard, a sophomore who switched to safety from cornerback this season, would likely replace him. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3082788
  10. called Uhaul, they said the truck was en route and stopped to get gas, it was mistaken as they were turning around. "We have full confidence Mr. Cosgrove will need our product" -Uhaul employee
  11. i feel bad for 2/3rds of america, they have to suffer through this crap on saturday
  12. wonder if Pelini told him to come here
  13. why would cally need the redshirt if he's not gonna be here next year, he doesn't care
  14. and as it was mentioned yesterday...he is the leading candidate for the Pitt A.D. job... that's great from him, moving from a football program with a failing pro coach to another program with the exact same problem all that he was in charge of at nebraska seems to be in good standing, mainly basketball
  15. pederson had nothing to do with how coz "prepares" the defense nothing will change in terms of performance, although the fans will not be leaving AS early
  16. does anyone even give this guy a chance? he was right next to Dr. Tom at the press conference today.
  17. sean callahan said it wasn't coz who mandated it but a "team decision"
  18. buffet is not an athletic booster to any program he MAY be an academic booster, but definetly not an athletic booster
  19. just wondering if he'll say "we just have to get better" or the classic "we're hurting right now"
