I'd take Riley over Frost. Same record, costs less. I think this play on the road first game against Big 10+ stuff is dumb. The conference is dumb and should follow the SEC cupcake 3 games and 1 before the conference championship model.

Entertaining Michigan-TCU game. TCU definitely put up more than 5 points in the second half. I think they went a little too conservative and could have scored again on Meeeechicken. That TCU FG drive from the 16 and last drive were bad. Iowa D ourscores their O again for the win.

If you consider by beating Northwestern and a D2 school this year they would be bowl eligibile. Stop Wisconsin and they would be in the West hunt. Joseph almost turned us around bowl eligible if not for the no first downs backup QB play. A tweek here and there, a player here and there, and 6 wins is doable. Fewer penalties, turnovers, and a kicker and they could take the west. The west is that bad.

And yet he performed at a higher level with them. At least they went to a bowl. We're happy to beat Purdue or Iowa.

If Rhule wanted to screw the Panthers he would take a marginal salary and spend the difference on assistants. He would still make $7 mil if he took $100,000-250,000 with bonuses and length of contract clauses. Make a 1/2 million conference appararance $1 million make the playoff bonus. Keep Joseph and Bush a year for consistency and evaluate year end. Spend a million a piece on OC and DC.

Beat Norhwestern every year. Beat Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Purdue, Minnesota most of the time. Don't lose to your patsey non--conference schedule. Thos could have easily been a 7-8 win season with backup QB development and better play calling. Our D got good enough to win everyone but Michigan at the end of the year.

Iowa has held 9 of 11 teams below what we scored in the first half... for entire games. Scoring on this D isn't a given.

No holding and you get a shot a a FG. Missed FG. But they are still up 17-0 at half and get the ball. Score again and Iowa can't run as much without running the clock out on themselves. 23-0 would have been better but their largest comback this year is 3 points. Score after the half with a series of precalled plays and they are in good shape.

Yeah if in doubt throw it further for Palmer. 5 yards up and in, he might score.
