  1. So, I'm not sure what to do with this one, but we just received this video in a tweet: (NSFW - Language, angry shirtless dude) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoeK2WqoExE Soooo...I guess the guy's score prediction is 44-24?
  2. Eh. Editing my post because I was a downer at first. I shouldn't try to judge people's intentions. I hope the dude enjoyed the game. GBR!
  3. Probably the best comment in this thread.
  4. Earlier this summer, I posted here asking for feedback about a podcast that I was working on with my friend. I'm happy to announce that we've officially launched! This week's episode is called "Just a Second," for obvious reasons. Here's the link to subscribe / download via iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/husker-football-fancast/id1037575833?mt=2 If you're not an Apple fan, you can also access the podcast here: http://huskerfancast.libsyn.com/ As we're still getting things going, your feedback is still much appreciated. Thanks!
  5. If SA is the lightweight they're supposed to be, I'd like to see Armstrong pulled as soon as we're up by two touchdowns. Maybe I'm being a little too cautious, but with all the injuries the Huskers are already facing, why not give Fyfe some quality playing time in the event that we need him later in the season?
  6. Aside from a couple of silly memes that cropped up on Facebook this weekend, I haven't seen a divisive spirit from the fanbase. Do I have friends who think Bo should still be the coach? Sure, but it's possible to disagree and remain friends and Husker fans. Now, when my buddy who's an Iowa fan chimed in on one of my Facebook threads, that was a different story...
  7. Ah, sorry about that, NebraskaShellback! I posted the URL and the board converted it to a player. I've edited the original post so it's just a link to the file. Should be good to go now. And thank you, zoogs. I was thinking about posting here originally but I didn't want to break any spam / self-promotion rules. We will most likely be hosting the podcast on libsyn, which will make it available to iOS/Android/Web/etc. I'm just hosting it on my personal site until we get our ducks in a row.
  8. Hi everyone, longtime lurker checking in. My last post here is from the Callahan era! My friend Justin and I are starting a Husker fan podcast this fall. Back in April we took our first step by recording a "preview episode" after the spring game. If you've got about a half hour to spare, I'd be thrilled if you gave it a listen and shared your feedback: http://www.mikeharvat.com/huskers/huskers.mp3 Please know that there are already a LOT of things we want to improve before we record our first real episode, most importantly... - Improved audio quality (We were testing a Skype recording program with Justin calling in while driving in western NE). This includes a more balanced mix and more audio production in general. - Well-defined and delineated segments (e.g. Weekly recap, Huskers in the NFL, trending topics in Husker Nation) So basically, it will sound better and have more organization come September, but I think this preview captures the spirit of what we want to create. Our goal is to make it interesting for our fellow fans by keeping it entertaining, educational, and enthusiastic. We will take your feedback and criticism to heart! Thanks, - Mike
  9. The moment I gave up on it was when I heard the announcer say "Nebraska's still in this...all they need is two touchdowns with two point conversions to catch up."
