  1. Actually he didn't. When asked about how Ganz played he went into this diatribe about how great his system is and how much he coaches his players up. This should not suprise anyone. He did the same thing at Oakland and he has done it ever since he has been here. When the team does well he pounds his chest and tells everyone how great he is but when they play like crap he says that the team "didn't execute or play with intensity." He needs to act like a man. It's time for Bill to go.
  2. Puricry needs to shut the hell up and play!!!!! This is the problem with this team, they are soft and have no heart. Give 100% and quit jaking, and the fans won't be pissed at you. Mo, you are 22. You are old enough to have kids, drink alcohol, and die for your country. Quit starting fights in the bar, and act like a man. So a couple of idiots said a couple of mean things to you. Ignore them, and quit being a p---y.
  3. We as Nebraska fans witnessed excellence for the better part of 40 straight years. We know excellence. This is far from excellence. While that's a good thing, it's also part of the problem IMO. Husker fans were spoiled by the "excellence". Recent husker history has certainly brought "the greatest fans in college football" down a notch or four and I think we are starting to see the real character of the typical husker fan. One who leaves early, boos, etc etc. Are you saying that as paying customers, followers, and fans, we don't have the right to voice our concerns? Should we just let this ship sink without trying to keep it afloat? BTW, the same could be said about passionate fans of any team.
  4. He could put some of the blame onto his decisions during the game and say something like "I've got to prove to you fans that I can win the next four games and that our coaching staff will pull together and we'll pratice more and we'll get more motivated. We've recognize some of our weeknesses and we need to work more on those and we haven't played to our potential." Something like this is better than saying something that is obviously outrageous. But that's just me. The fact of the matter is that the guy can't say anything right with some people. If it's not one thing it's the other. We as Nebraska fans witnessed excellence for the better part of 40 straight years. We know excellence. This is far from excellence. Nebraska fans would respect him a little bit if he said "I'm trying my best, but it's not good enough. I'm sorry." A REAL MAN admits when he is wrong, so he can be forgiven. Callahan is just being typical Callahan, he is throwing everyone else under the bus. He is stubborn and will not change, as it would be an admission of fault. He has excelled at chaning our culture (from winning and pride to losing and embarassement) and has excelled at setting most of the worst records in the history of our program.
  5. IBR, please add me to your PM list. Thanks
  6. I don't understand those who hate Bo. I don't know if he is the best guy for the job but for those who question him being a loose cannon, have they not witnessed the "dumbest team in America" "F'ing hillibillies" and the throat slash? Bo could not due any worse that Bill.
  7. Wow, that wuz a nice post No doubt. I guess all the hub-bub about the program not being what it used to be is not so far fetched. This is a direct kick in the sack to Pederson and Callahan. Dr. Osborne gets it, the other two don't. This IS Tom's program and family and don't you forget it!
  8. Osborne's reply to this has been printed and if you read between the lines, it is obvious who he believes. Callahan has never understood or embraced the traditions of our program. He has a history of disrespecting people "dumbest team in America" and "F'ing Hillbillies." He has been cocky since he got here and should have responded in his press conference yesterday "It was great having Coach Osborne here to get more familiar with what we do. It doesn't make it more difficult but because it shows that were are doing things to make this team better." What he said was a direct shot a Osborne. For the comments on the walkon program. Yes it is still "alive" but it is doccumented about how it has been cut from 40+ in the Osborne/Solich years to as few a 9 in the Callahan years. It is my opinion that the few of you who are still defending Callahan are either family members of his or Steve Pederson, or you are really not fans of this program. Have you not witnessed what has gone on in the past 6 years?
  9. No wonder why they can't tackle anybody, they are built like 5 of the slugs I see at work everyday.
  10. You guys completely dodged the question!!!! It wasn't "what do you think will happen if....?" Ask yourselves seriously will you be able to support the new coach after a couple of losing seasons??? That is a great question and after all of the hot air we have been fed, all of the turmoil and BS, and the atmosphere that is in the program now, I think that if we have guys that bring the "Nebraska feel" back to Lincoln it will be okay. If we show progress, play with heart, and give it our all, our fans will be patient. As long a Ball St and ISU aren't coming close to beating us at home and we don't give up 40+ points per game to mediocre teams, we will see it as progress. Any decent coaching staff can deliver this, IMO.
  11. ..athletic department employees coming back to the family? Thanks GBR!!!
