  1. I dont know if he was double teamed, but his job was to take up multiple blockers. Crash down and eliniminate OLineman from getting into our linebackers.
  2. Would you be willing to scalp them? I'm sure there will be a few on the corners with tickets.
  3. Hunter and Franklin aren't a consideration at this point. They will be for the 2007 class, but not for the 2006 class at the moment. I wouldn't expect Russel to get an offer. But that's just me. If Eloi makes it as does Spain, NU should be ok for next year at least before we replinsh the WR corps As we know it, what is the major downfall with Russell???? It seems he has potential, why not take a shot at him??
  4. the part where he says Nebraska can begin "inching their way back into the national scene. Jeff (Omaha): After seeing the pounding that Nebraska put on Colorado would you say that they are closer than many people thought to being the Nebraska of old? Kirk Herbstreit: (3:32 PM ET ) Let's not get carried away with the manhandling an un-enthused Buffs team. Don't get me wrong, that was a great day for Nebraska and QB Zac Taylor, but I think someone forgot to tell Colorado they were playing to get to the Big 12 title game. If NU can go to a bowl game, possibly the Alamo, and continue the momentum with an impressive outing against the likes of Iowa or Michigan, an 8-4 finish is the time to start talking about Nebraska inching back toward the glory days. To have back-to-back, national TV wins to end the season could create a lot of confidence and momentum in recruiting season and into spring ball. And with as many players as the Huskers have coming back. that bowl game becomes a must-win for the Huskers.
  5. You know I think Callahan had someone catch him or follow him. They need to free up scholarships. Davis shouls be transfering after this year anyway. He'll never see the field. -- DAVIS CITED FOR DUI: Nebraska fourth-string quarterback Beau Davis was cited early Sunday morning for driving under the influence. According to police reports, Davis was pulled over on Sun Valley Boulevard for failure to signal his turn. Davis, 20, was also cited for minor in possession of alcohol. Nebraska coach Bill Callahan said Davis has already been subjected to internal team discipline. “This is a very unfortunate incident for this young man, and this is a situation we certainly do not condone as a football program,” Callahan said. “We will make sure that Beau takes the necessary steps to deal with the issue.” Davis, a sophomore, hasn’t played this season. He played in one game as a true freshman, at Texas Tech.
  6. Are you from the tourism director for Houston
  7. He still have intentions of enrolling in a month??
  8. ANother Lucky/Glenn article Can someone post the article?!?!?
  9. Where is this guy going? There is going to have to be an update somewhere because of Snyder's retirement
  10. He wont leave because he loves this board, he wouldn't know what to do with himself. He wonts to be banned some he has some story to tell his buds about how tough and cool he is becuase he got "banned"... He wants so hard to be a "bad ass"
  11. Do you believe that a coach should have to motivate players?? The players know what its all about, don't they? They know that any Big 12 win is a big win and Mangino telling his fans not to tear down the goal posts after they beat Nebraska should have been enough motivation for any NU player. The captains, Ross and Bullocks are seniors and they should be the one's that motivate the other players. Coaches shouldn't have to motivate players. TO's motivation was anything but. All he did was go over a quick checklist about responsibilites and then left with about 7 minutes to go and the players then took over.
  12. No you are not contenders and never will. The Huskers will walk all over you this week.
  13. Bo Pelini would have done worse for the image of Nebraska than Callahan has done. Yes, Callahan made two "gestures or remarks" but Pelini would have been reprimanded several times for outlandish outbursts, gestures and others...he was a hot head and let everyone know it.
  14. Also in case you haven't notice, I go t a thing for the DAVE MATHEWS BAND...that'll get my attention any time.
  15. Give me Sirus any day, and I'm also a school song guy...."There's no place like Nebraska"
  16. Eppley has always been a snot nosed punk. He was very successful in what he did and then has taken the last couple years off, especiall during the Solich Era, when he was still in charge of Strength program. He never showed his face. He relied on his assisstants. He should be reprimanded by Peterson on this one. Absolutely at the wrong time to make these comments. I wonder how much money he's donated to the project???????
  17. It's not going overboard. If you were waiting for a win the last 36 years we would do the same thing. I'm happy for them.
  18. That's a big problem. D can't rest and plus were missing our top two linebackers. Very, very few teams have enough players to back up starters with the same talent
  19. Next year's the big one. Our first 10 win season in some time. Lucky and Glenn get all the carries
