I read this off of Huskerextra when they were doing a story over one of our recruits Micah Kreikemeier and this is what Bo told Micah: "He’s straightforward in everything he says,” Micah says. “He basically said to me the three main rules: Don’t get in trouble with the law. Don’t be late, and don’t ever talk back or anything stupid with me. But he said, ‘Screw up any of those and I’ll be up your butt.’ Fair enough for me.” This is what we need in as a coach and it pumps me up just reading this. Bo is going to make these guys work their tails off from now all the way to September. For all of the people that are saying that we'll have a 7-5 or 6-6 record I believe you'll be proved wrong. Last time Bo was here he had to start from scratch and had about 9 months to do something and he turned it around and we beat Oklahoma St. in our opener who were ranked. Bo is going to turn this program around pretty fast and you can count on that. Now I wonder what's going to happen to Patrick Witt because if you guys remember correctly didn't he get in a bar fight or something in December? I know he got in trouble with the law and I wonder what Bo is going to do with Patrick since he broke one of his rules. Anyways GO BIG RED and two more months till the SPRING GAME BABY

You mean like in '05 when we led the nation in sacks? Might I remind you that we had 11 sacks in our opening game against Maine. I wouldn't be bragging about that if I was anybody cause it was Maine. We had 42 sacks that year and 11 came from the Maine game.....but we did have good talent on that Defensive side too not to take that away from them.

Honestly I thought that Zach Potter was pretty slow last year and I didn't really think that he really showed his great potential. Hopefully James Dobson gets Zach's ass in gear so he'll move a whole lot faster.

Remember when Tom Osborne was named Interim Athletic Director and he mentioned on how he watch other colleges and how they were running different types of offenses. If I remember correctly he did bring up Florida's offense and how they run the spread. So far everything that Tom Osborne has mentioned in interviews or certain questions about anything he has had his word on everything like he has in the past. So I wouldn't be surprised if we run an offense similar to Florida's.....but then again who knows. Oh and Ar Husker Fan everytime I see your avatar picture I think to myself.......I bet he looks just like John Lennon in real life.

I'm jealous on these stories about Johnny Rodgers because I had one of the worst experiences from Rodgers. A few years ago I took a trip down to Omaha to watch a Concert which featured Saliva, Trapt, Breaking Benjamin, Head P.E., Seether, and Godsmack (Godsmack is my favorite band). Well we arrived early in Omaha because I have relatives in Omaha and they were going to the concert too. When we got into Omaha we had gotten word that Johnny Rodgers was at Younkers signing autographs. So we drove to Younkers and we had to find something for him to sign. So we went to a husker store in the mall and found those small authentic football helmets with the plastic facemask which cost us $20-25. So I picked one up and we ran to Younkers. He charged us $10 to sign these helmets that we just bought and we asked if we could get our picture taken. He agreed and after that we asked if he could sign one thing for free and he told us, "I just got my picture taken with you for free!" WTF was that all about. After that moment I've never really cared for the guy. He's a great athlete but to this day I wish that I wouldn't have meet him that day. Johnny Rodgers in my opinion on that day was all about the money. I've met Eric Crouch twice and he's signed everything that I've put infront of him FREE OF CHARGE even his #89 Rams jersey and I met Mike Rozier at the Grand Opening for Menards here in Sioux City, IA and he was awesome and he even talked to my dad all the way from the parking lot to the entrace of Menards. He signed everything FREE OF CHARGE and he even would bullsh*t with you while signing your item and even after he's done signing it. I know that Eric didn't really have the greatest career but he is one of the nicest people i've met that was a former Husker as well as Mike Rozier.

QFT. And for the record, threadstarter, the last time we faced Texas Tech it was 34-31, not 70-10. 70-10 was the time before. Well actually the last time that we faced Texas Tech at Texas Tech we lost 70-10 But most recently we lost to Tech in Lincoln in 05' 34-31 so you are right on that one. And in the 08' season we are actually playing Tech in Texas so that's why i posted it the way i did to restore our pride from the last time we played Tech in Texas.

I'm just curious on what or which games all you Husker fans are looking foward to for this 08' season. If you want go ahead and number in order of which games you can't wait to watch and your reason for that choice. Here's my list: Oklahoma - Seeing Bob and Bo go at it in Norman on opposite sides is going to be exciting and a good match. Western Michigan - Cause it'll be Bo's first game as Head Coach and the fans will go crazy. It'll be sweet to see and that's why i'm going to that game Virginia Tech - Bo's first test to see if he can beat a team ranked in the top 25 where Billy Goat struggled at Mizzo - To restore order against Chase Daniel and his offense Kansas - Reason being......well everybody should know this one....because they like slaughtered us last year 39-76 and it's pay back Texas Tech - Again to gain our pride back from the last time we faced them 'cough cough 70-10 cough cough' Colorado - Cause I can't stand them and they don't deserve to play us in Lincoln EVER

I don't think that Shawn Watson will take this postion with Alabama because IMO it wouldn't be fair to the players and he's got a great job right here in Lincoln. Watson at this point shouldn't be think about how much he would be making at Alabama because he knows this offense here and he'll be the head guy calling the shots. He's gotta start thinking about these players coming in to play for Nebraska for the next 4-5 years. Another thing that I read in the Omaha World Herald is that Alabama didn't ask Bo permission to speak to Watson.....interesting!!!!! Shawn Watson is our guy don't sweat it.

I must have missed that this morning I was at work. What was said this morning in their conversation And T.O. Bull man I was throwing out some sarcasm when I said that hahaha chill hahaha. I'm really pissed that this (Shawn Watson supject) was brought up. Shawn Watson right now has to not only think about himself with the extra money but think about these kids that he's recruiting now or previously and what Tom Osborne had to do to go the extra mile to have Shawn Watson stay at Nebraska. Remember we could've got Jim Grobe as our Head Coach but TO wanted to keep certain assistants and Jim told TO that we wants the same assistants that he has and bring them to Lincoln. Not saying anything bad about Bo but we did lose another great Coach to keep certain assistans....'cough cough Shawn Watson cough cough' Sorry Huskerjock, no sun in 5 no 6 days and its going to be in the single ndigits all week. 6 more ins. o snow today and more coming.
