sorry, this was last week in class!! my mind is crazy right now with midterms and everything! wasnt two weeks ago but was last week. He told me the players dont care this week.

2 weeks ago I was told that Osborne gave one of the greatest team speeches that he had ever seen prior to the A&M game. He also said that BC always tells the team that the opposing is great but in this practice he said they were not great but were just average. Then we got smoked. This week he told me that the players just don't care at this point! That is right the players don't care if they win or lose. So, I predict a huge blowout this weekend.

this is just ridiculous. I can't believe "fans" are saying this. They don't deserve to wear RED I've been more disappointed in the fans in the past few weeks than I have in the team. ....but I can tell you most of the anymosity was at the coaches not at big MO....... I know I've said this a million times, but... On Saturday, please do not boo, yell "you suck," etc...if you want to express your disgust, just leave.....I don't care if the yelling is meant to be directed at the coaches, and everyone knows it, it still beats the players down emotionally, which is the last thing they need...what is the point of going to the game if you're going to do something that makes your team play worse... And Purify does not need to man up..after what he's been through this season and how he's handled it I think hes more of a man than most....these so called fans are the ones that need to man up...I have a feeling he's expressing what all our players feel...if fans are yelling things at them from the sidelines, they should speak out... I was in the student section on saturday and i sure as heck didnt hear any boos. The fans were willing to support the team and were get into the game in the first half. Then.... second half... game over but i still didnt hear too many boos from the student section if there were they were intended for the coaches not players. OUR PLAYERS do need to MAN UP!! There more peed at the fans than the opposing team. If you are hearing boos then go out and hit someone and youll get the recognition. Frieaking hit someone but i dont need to hear players whining about our fans.

I think you're reading a little too much into it...he said the same things hes been saying since he's been here... ...and disgust with the fans seems to be running rampant among our players, rightly or wrongly...not really fair to call out Purify...I think he was just being honest...with all he's been through in the past two months I'm sure he loves all the criticism, when he probably looks to football to get away from the tragedy... I was at the game Saturday in the student section and I heard very few boos if any. The students even tried getting into the game and then... second half came. Fans are trying to show support but it is very hard to support coaches that don't want to be here.

I would go if it was a warm weather game!! I would not go to Boise.

me too. kolnkgin has a video for an 11:00 press conference but nothing plays. but if it starts at twelve then it just hasnt started yet. bc will just use his stupid coach talk anyway but has a husker fan i have to watch the idiot talk. maybe his west coast offense got burnt down in the fire in southern california

EXACTLY. I don't consider it being rude at all, it's passion and we should have a voice in what happens to our university. This is football and the touchy feely stuff is getting old. Don't get me wrong, I feel deeply for these players but suck it up & play the game...that red N on the helmet means something! I feel strongly about this. If you want to spend the week writing letters, creating websites, posting, making phone calls, holding campus rallies, etc. in order to voice your preference for a new coach, I'm all for it. But on Saturday, at the game, we should be using our energies to support the team. If you feel so deeply for the players, don't make them feel any worse by completely disgracing the coaching staff they are trying to work under to win the game. No matter how much you think the coaching staff has disgraced itself, like it or not, the outcome of the games is in their hands. Try to put yourself in the shoes of the players and imagine what a distraction those kinds of chants (and boos for that matter) are on top of all the other distractions. T.O. is in charge and we should all trust him to make the right decision at the end of the year. I certainly have enough confidence in him to do so without the help of the student section on Saturdays. I feel for the players--that they had to be put through this and that blame lies squarely on Pedersons shoulders. To a certain degree I feel sorry for Cally cus' I really don't think he knew what he was getting himself into, it had to be tough knowing you were the 4th choice. That's the extent of the touchy feely stuff for me cus' when the helmet get's strapped on none of that matters anymore. Destructive attitude? Yeah I suppose that's the competitor in me, I played ball for awhile although not at UNL (not near good enough). My compassion meter is pretty tapped out after sitting through last weeks game...sorry. By the way, we stayed through the whole darn thing!!! Im with you. I stayed until about half way through the fourth quarter. Voice your opinion no matter what it is sometimes your feelings are your feelings and dont feel any shame for them. I will chant for Bo because thats who i want to coach. I said getting rid of Bo was the worst move of the century four years ago!! Didnt think he should be hc but thought he should of kept his job!!

If I was a redshirt I would refuse to play! Who knows what BC is thinking at this point but he played Niles Paul for what two series in the Nevada and I havent seen him since. Was that worth wasting a year from him? Cal may burn everybodys redshirt just to spite the program at this point. The faster hes gone the less damage he does to the program.

Don't feel bad!! I got caught this afternoon in class by a football player overhearing me say I didn't know who to go for either!! I really didn't care because it is the truth and I didn't shy away from it just because I got caught. I support our players and feel bad for them but I would sacrifice a game if it meant getting rid of these fools. HELL ive sacrificed four seasons for them already whats one game!

Can somebody confirm whether it is normal to have press conferences the day before the game? Or confirm there really is a press conference?

Who are we demonizing? BC hasn't exactly showed any respect to anyone in the state of NE! I tried liking this fool for two years and last year by the Auburn game I barely cared if we won we already had four losses! My standards for Nebraska football are a lot higher than allowing some loser to let us lose four to five games a year and have the nerve to say he is doing a good coaching job. GIMME ME A BREAK!! THESE FOOLS WOULD BE GONE ALREADY IF PUD DIDNT GIVE THEM EXT.
