  1. as soon as we get close enough we should kick a FG no matter what the down is
  2. yeah my bad, it's offline, was listening to the radio stream since the game stream was all choppy now, it is back on
  3. after I refreshed it showed the NU game. it's pretty choppy for me though
  4. 94,34 % - Fidel, Fidel, Fidel... I am sure though, that some or even most of you didn't quite get the point of this poll. And I take the blame because I didn't explain it very well. The question should have been "are you willing to not win anything this year but have a vastly improved offense which would also highly increase the chances of winning in the years to come OR would you rather take the short term success with a bad offense but also not so good chances the next few years or basically "short term vs. long term". When I said "I meant only this year" I referred to losing only this year. Whatever, I am going to take the votes as my prediction for the ISU game 50-3 NU-ISU
  5. nevermind! I was watching that 'tra la la' video from those A&M guys, confused me a little bit
  6. true, but it is nice coincidence, if CG is going to start. And if coincidentally he is going to lose as less games as Tommie Frazier did after that, I could very well live with it
  7. Hope you never grow old and have to use oxygen or hearing aids, etc. Those people have every right to be there too! My Mom is 78 and we still go to the games! I didn't know there was an age limit on being a Husker fan! I'm 53.....how many more years will I be allowed to go to a game?? Just my opinion........... No age limit as long as you stand up and do your part. And if the words "Sit Down" come out of your mouth you are no longer aloud within 200 yards of the stadium. if you went to a game with a broken leg unable to stand up all the time, you'd probably also yell at people to sit down. Some older folks just ain't as mobile anymore, they still have the right to go to the games. Maybe some more respect in both directions would help to get along better
  8. That's how I mean the question: Would you rather see the problems on offense getting fixed, play good football on both sides but eventually fail to make the Big XII title game or would you say I take the pain watching them offensively as long as they manage to win it all (Big XII title)? I, for one, would rather see them come up short. Thinking long term, you need a good offense to consistently win titles. Though the thought of beating TX in the title game and go to a BCS bowl is kinda tempting Edit: well yeah I only meant this year though. It's not that I prefer losing, even when it looks good. Maybe I misphrased the question. But I would rather not win this year and have a good offense because that highly increases the chances to win next year or in the next years while with a mediocre offense or even worse than that you are probably not gonna win again. Besides I don't mean that you have to lose every game. But lose to OU and KS, there is a good chance you don't make the CG. and one more point: I know it's rather unlikely to score 500 yds on offense, play good defense and still lose... the reason I ask, most of you folks are, and rightly so, upset about the offensive performances so far (non Sun-Belt opponents). Now where you willing to live with it if we were going to win the title or would you rather see offensive progress and not make the title game, which eventually means you have to lose another game or two
  9. fyp = fixed your post ...I think, makes at least sense.
  10. Comment on Tim Griffin's article: # randywags25 randywags25 (10/22/2009 at 4:39 AM) Report Violation I have something interesting to share. So I have been watching old Husker games with my brother starting this year. We decided to start with the 1992 Season since we noticed that the games are on the same schedule as far as the dates go as this year. So before the actual college football games start, we watch the old one 17 years ago to the day each Saturday. And on October 24, 1992, a true Freshman Husker quarterback took over the starting job for a struggling quarterback. His name was Tommie Frazier. Sounds familiar to this year, eh? I'll be alright if this team starts to pan out as it did in the 90's. Go Big Red!! Didn't check if this is actually true but I like it
  11. I think you and all the others that go with this are an ASS . Ban ME IF YOU WANT TO BUT GET THE f#*k OFF ZACK LEES ASS. UNTIL HE IS REPLACED HE IS THE HUSKER QB. f#*k WITH ME IF YOU WANT BUT I AM TIRED OF HEARING THAT WE NEED TO REPLACE HIM. GET THE f#*k OVER IT BITCH Lighten up, Francis!
  12. Bo: "I see ourselves on offense going through many of the things we went through a year ago on the defensive side of the ball" That statement is really promising. Don't help much right now but it's the long term that counts
  13. don't wanna be the thread police but there are like 4 of them discussing that
  14. maybe if Suh had played qb we had won ...who knows? by the way this thread is
  15. it's funny that whenever someone has a different opinion they are just "so called fans" looking back, not firing TO was obviously the best thing happening to Nebraska but back then no one knew. Maybe we should have kept BC for another 20 years... don't know when this parity thing in your opinion started but don't be afraid ...look at the top 25 today and have a look on the last 18 NC pretty much all traditional powerhouses 1991 Miami, Fla. (AP) Washington (Coaches) 1992 Alabama 1993 Florida State 1994, 1995 Nebraska 1996 Florida 1997 Michigan (AP) Nebraska (Coaches) 1998 Tennessee 1999 Florida State 2000 Oklahoma 2001 Miami, Fla. 2002 Ohio State 2003 LSU (National Champs) USC (#1 in AP Poll) 2004 USC 2005 Texas 2006 Florida 2007 LSU 2008 Florida
