  1. Great story. It is always nice to hear the good things that players do instead of always the negatives that you usually hear.
  2. What if he is offered a million+? Also, what if he gets injured at Nebraska? If I'm Bubba and I get a guaranteed 7 figure paycheck . . . I'm gone. You can always go back to college. I hope he comes to Nebraska but it would kill me to see him turn down a huge contract and then get injured and never earn a penny playing the sports that he loves. I agree. I think it would be really hard to turn down that kind of money especially when it would take only one injury and you could lose everything. I hope he comes here too but if he is as good as they say he is in baseball, I think he goes to the MLB. Hope I am wrong though.
  3. First year of CGD. I just remember 2006 and 2007. Both of those were the 7:00 USC games. We can fit 86,000 fans inside the stadium, how is there not enough room? I think in 2007 it was inside the stadium. Found this pic, which may or may not be taken inside. Kind of looks like they are in. It was inside the stadium in 2007. I know, I was there and actually got on TV for a second too. It was also pretty funny that Herbstreit got booed, I think that was after he complained about the ESPN competition for best teams ever that had 2 Nebraska teams in the finals.
  4. He will now come in being the same grade as a certain RB from Texas. Braylon Heard and Aaron Green in the same backfield. Throw in Bubba and Turner and the future is very bright. That is assuming we get Green. I think he have a great chance but not getting hopes up til he actually signs. That is also assuming that Heard would have qualified by then and I believe we might have to recruit him again to the new signing class since he didnt qualify from the previous one. I am not sure on that. He will now come in being the same grade as a certain RB from Texas. Braylon Heard and Aaron Green in the same backfield. Throw in Bubba and Turner and the future is very bright. So he wont be here for fall camp? They are saying he want be here til Jan 2011 so no he wouldnt be here for fall camp. 1. We get Green 2. Braylon will be in a prep school type setting as said above (not exactly a prep school but something simular). There he will be monitored by his HS coach, the same Cardinal Mooney Coach that Bo Pelini knows quite well. I think we are safe that Braylon isnt going anywhere else. I think there is a great chance we get Green but not gonna be sure til the LOI is signed, gotten hope up to be disappointed other times with big players that we were supposively gonna get. That is good if Braylon can qualify and be here. Just wasn't completely sure if he didnt qualify by a certain time that we would have to recruit him again. Hopefully he can get those classes passed and get here ASAP.

  6. Hopefully not, it would be great it they would all stay. All the competition is only going to make them push each other and make them get better.
  7. ABC is scheduled to broadcast a NASCAR race that night. ESPN is showing wiscy v. ohio state. that leaves the 11:00 and 2:30 slots on ABC. typically the 11:00 one is a national game and 2:30 is regional games. i think you can guess which of those two we're likely to get. i hope i'm wrong, but either way, it will be nice to have such a hyped game in lincoln again. Can there be an ESPN2 night game? I would gladly take that over 11:00. I hate those games. I would much rather have a night game than an 11 am game. The atmosphere for night games is so much better especially with playing Texass after what happened in Big 12 Championship last year. It could easily top the Oklahoma game this past year.
  8. Here is article: http://www.omaha.com/article/20100712/BIGRED/100719938/ LINCOLN — Nebraska football recruit Chase Harper will not enroll next month after failing to qualify academically, rivals.com reported. Harper, a 6-foot-5, 250-pound tight end at Navarro (Texas) College, did not complete the coursework this summer necessary to transfer. A sophomore, he plans to remain at Navarro this fall.
  9. Exactly. Mack Brown doesnt even need to exert as much effort into recruiting as our staff does. Mack Brown is nothing but a dirty old man that looks like he just brushed his teeth with a stick of butter. All i could find was 06-07, but suprisingly they spend almost as much money... Nebraska $1,275,000 Texas - $1,156,800 You'd think with them not having to travel to find recruits it would be A LOT less. Maybe it's not for traveling. Most of that money was probably used at strip clubs I believe you are thinking of Colorado that uses most of their money for strip clubs for recruits. Of course, Texass might do it too.
  10. Committed to U$C per ESPN. http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/ncf/news/story?id=5134746
  11. http://my.journalstar.com/post/Husker_Extra_Group/Husker_Extra/blog/thenarse_receives_extra_year.html Thenarse receives extra year Posted by: Brian Christopherson on February 18, 2010 at 5:27PM CST I spoke with Rickey Thenarse today and the safety said he was told last Thursday that he's been granted another season as a Husker. This was what he and coaches expected, but now Thenarse has received official word. Thenarse tore the ACL in his right leg during the first quarter of the Louisiana-Lafayette game last season and didn't know if he'd ever get to play for Nebraska again. "For a second I thought that it'd be over, but I really didn't get to play that much in those first three games," Thenarse said. "I knew I had a pretty good shot at getting a year back. It was another one of those deals in my life where I said, 'It had to be God that made this happen.'" The senior feels like he's at 90 percent and is confident he'll be able to compete in spring ball. He said he's back to doing everything but competing in 7-on-7 drills. "Those guys are competing at a high level right now and they don't want to put that kind of pressure on my knee," Thenarse said of sitting out 7-on7s. Lot more on Thenarse in a story for Friday's paper.
  12. False start.... why does our oline do this alll the damn time.
  13. What is our secondary doing, they have to cover Meier. He is killing us.
  14. Ugh, pass interference. Where is our pressure from our DLINE? It just has not been there today.
  15. Wow, we are lucky as hell that Sharp just dropped that one.... that would have been a huge play.
  16. Yea, we need to keep throwing to him deep, the guy hasnt been able to cover him all game.
