  1. I'm sure you're right, and that money had something to do with it. I'll agree it always does.
  2. I would guess that knapplc and I disagree on nearly as much as you and I. Check out the strip search thread or the old McDonald's lawsuit thread. Most notably our bitter disagreement re: Endianness. carlfense maintains an obstinate Big-Endian stance, while I adhere to the much more logical Small-Endian ways.
  3. From what I understand, his contract included appearances at places/events and he didn't want to do those appearances. I don't know if the issue was related to his personal beliefs or politics or what, but that's why he's out. I would imagine he'll get picked up by another network. That was a pretty popular show.
  4. Be sure you bring yours when you show up next Friday, GSG.
  5. Unfortunately, you can't link Comedy Central videos in here. Only YouTube, I think. This is the link to your Colbert Vid, jsneb83.
  6. What I would do for the woman is set up a support system. Hopefully have the woman's friends and family support her through the emotional crisis she will be going through. Help give her information on PTSD and offer her assurance that I'm there to help her. Set them up with counseling if they are willing to talk. That's just a few suggestions. And much better suggestions than forcing her to marry her rapist or stoning her to death for no longer being a virgin. Really simple suggestions that wouldn't have taken up much more space in the bible than what's already laid out. A just and merciful god should realize this. And you would not have thought like that in their time. You would have done what all the other men did. Yeah, during Deuteronomy they had professional counciling and psychologists, you guys are something else. In this day and age yes, back then you would not have done or even thought about any of that. I can see you setting up your tent and having them come in and sit down on your couch maybe give them some goat milk and then go all freudian on them, yeah right. You guys are all in denial, to think that you would have been these knights in shining armor 4,000 years ago, it really is comical. Why did your God sentence women to marry their rapists back then, but not today? Has God changed? God Hasn't changed but he sent Jesus and now there is the new testament. "I am the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow."
  7. Johnny, I won't ever troll you. I have no need to troll you. Your arguments are easily parried.

  9. benny, it's God's will. We can't question that. Come on, now.
  10. I certainly hope not. I'd like to keep some hope for the future of our race intact.
  11. Johnny, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. You have been answered, several times, on what would happen to the woman back then. You may not like the answers because they don't fit into your personal little box, but you've been given an answer.
  12. You try to catch The Daily Show every night, yet don't know who Neil deGrasse Tyson is? You watch Colbert, even though you're not a fan? Your wife likes, and listens to, U-Stink-But-I-♥-U By Billy and the Boingers? You think The Onion is a news outlet? There.... there aren't words.
  13. I have never watched that movie.
  14. It's bizarre, isn't it? I just don't see what all the interest is. I think we should ban anyone who posts about uniforms during the offseason. I mean, who needs a forum anyway? You are a harsh, harsh man, tschu.
  15. I would put you on a strict Daily Show diet for the next six months, minimum. No Maddow, no Fox (of any kind) no MSNBC, no ABC or CBS or NBC - none of it. Ever again. Ever. I would have you read The Onion during that six months, so you could see what satire is and so you develop a heightened sense for bogus reporting. I would have you watch every Neil deGrasse Tyson video you can find on YouTube. I would have you read Bloom County, in its entirety, AND listen to U-Stink-But-I-♥-U on continuous loop for one hour. Maybe two. You would be expressly forbidden from following Fundamentally Oral Bill, however. That would be a start. From there I would probably have your continuing education be taken up by watching the Colbert Report, reading some RSS feeds from Reuters and the AP, and maybe, just maybe, some BBC. But I think it's important to note that I have no problem with you. I disagree with some of your positions on things, but with you, johnnyrodgers20, I have no problem. Don't mistake different points of view for dislike.
  16. Found this on Twitter, a series of tweets from Paul Jake Jacobsen, of Husker Tapes fame. These are his numbers, so credit goes to him.
  17. I wouldn't know, Johnny. I don't watch CNN, and I have never watched even one second of Rachel Maddow's show. But you seem to mention her quite a bit. It's cute that you're adopting the lingo of other HuskerBoarders. You will be assimilated. knapplc, And you seem to mention Fox ALOT, what does that have to do with the price of bananas? It's apropos since we know that you watch Fox. A lot.
