They very clearly did not think through the foot traffic problem. Something could have been done to make this less of a problem.

"No candidate is good" is kind of a truism. I think it's safer to say that some candidates are less bad than others. To put it in a medical perspective, pretty much every candidate has a serious case of the flu. Some go beyond that to emphysema or COPD, while some are terminal cancer patients. Then you have guys like Jimmy McMillan who, in this analogy, are about 1/8th of a second from hitting the wood chipper at a dead sprint.

I don't think most people have a genuine understanding of this country's socio-economic footprint, and/or how it affects their daily lives. That's not to give a blanket approval of everything Obama says, though. Political muck-raking is never productive.

Oh, yeah. I see - the angle of that beam. It is angled, and it is funky-looking. I guess I'm just used to it after walking past it for years. It was built that way to accommodate the track, as Shark said. And that beam isn't part of the current expansion project - it's from the 2004 expansion, so it's been used for six or seven years.
