11-16... i like the idea of beating a higher ranked Okie/Mizz in the next two weeks. I think if TX would have not lost to UCLA, (stayed in top 25) we would have been a better focused team. Although, the kids got caught up in the Texas hoopla t]like the rest of us, and didn't execute from trying too darn hard.

Im guessing the Southwest and Big 12. Just guessing.

To me it seemed the players were a little too jack. Like meeting your future in laws the first time. I don't believe the players approached this game, as another game. Can you blame them? The pressure of playing Texas since last December got the best of them IMHO. Things will settle down and we will be playing in a BCS game. I gotta believe that. The plan worked and we just did not execute.

I brought up the same thing last night on the board and was quickly shot down... it sure seemed strange to me.

My bad- I was attending and stayed downtown too late. Seemed there were about 8-9 that went down and a couple for the count. Hope they are ok

I may be crazy and this may have been mentioned already, but a positive is none of the Texas players got hurt.. seemed they went down every time we had some momentum (first downs etc...). It was making me mad and drawing the game out for quite a while. Just thinking it was a ploy.

Great to read that we continue to receive some love out there. How nice that he got a plug in for Mad Men with the Beatles ref. We need to clobber Texas in similar fashion as we did K State and the nation will take notice. As for Heisman talk, TMart probably would finish in top 8, but no higher than 5.

71 would have been cool to help celebrate Snyder's 71st birthday. I don't think Bo would have done that on the national stage such as this. Probably, at some point an ass beating gets to be like a car wreck. The coaches out there can only look at so much, then they turn away. Each voting coach can relate to getting their ass kicked somewhere during their years of experience. I would think Bo would want to beat KSU into submission, then back off and get some time in for Green- he needs it badly. Hopefully the TX game has a similar tone. I do not miss the close games at all.

Just like Coach Bo would like, us vs them mentality. KStaters told me that they think Texas will bail on them inside of 6 years and they will be stuck holding the bag with Kansas and Iowa State. I told them they should have shown a little more Big 8 love during some crucial votes that came about and they should not have gotten caught up with the other schools trying to stick it to us for our success during our championship years. They put their heads down in shame for they knew it to be true.

They have spent the whole week getting psyched to play us. No one is allowed to where red all week. What the hell are they living in a Russian gulag? By game time, they will have such purple ba$ls they will be ready to explode.. then we score a few TDs and they will all be quiet and secretly wish to go home early. Should be at least two td game.. just packing the truck to head out to Manhattan in one hour and a half... the countdown begins. Should be a riot. I hope they are not the too violent to me or my SUV.

I saw as low as 11, hopefully a great sign. Can't wait to be down there watching the game. I really thought they would crack the top 25.

I do not think players should be paid. It is a slippery sloop on how much should they be able to earn- do you factor in the cost of living in a particular city, state, etc... the other issue is- let's say they decide to pay them X number of dollars per week, then some other school (texas) decides for competitive reasons, to pay them X plus Y (because we have collectively already deemed payments to collegiate athletes to be ok) then you have a mess of National debt proportions. Even simpler historic terms, each of the casinos over in Iowa, including the Indian ones, all started out as places to play small money slots.. They each had a punch card where you had to show your id so you could only lose 100 to 200 dollars- now you can go gamble the church fund and the college fund all in the same night. The cozy controls those casino recommended initially to make everyone feel safe and warm are gone in the name of profit and competitiveness. I would believe college pay for play would turn into the same thing. It would become a nuclear arms race, that only the rich schools will be able to afford. As for EA- Keller is a desperate, unemployed ex-jock. Crap, what kid wouldn't want to play the game and have an avatar that may/not represent him? Last I checked, 99 percent of the audience doesn't buy Madden for the cover or buy Playboy for the articles.

Did I read or hear that Coach Osborne asked him to cover it up a bit? Is that why he wears the black arm sleeve? I might be a bit of a prude, but i just don't get the whole tattoo scene. Unless, you were a sailor during WWII or something or ringing the bell on Fantasy Island, those I get.
