  1. Copyright it? Any proof? Yeah, didn't think so. Leave the law to people with a brain.
  2. This. Seriously. Some of you are embarrassing yourselves.
  3. Ummm... Ubben, what more would you like Nebraska to have done? Yeah, we had a brain-fart game against Texas, but we've rolled over everyone else this year. This begs the question: Exactly how good did you think we'd be this preseason? The second coming of 1995 Nebraska? Pretty sure Ubben is referring to Texas and Texas Tech. He is downplaying ISU's success and saying that ISU doesn't stand a chance against a much better Nebraska team. Ahhhh!!! For a guy who makes a living writing, that wasn't exactly a clear thought. Thanks guys. My Ubben-to-English translator must be on the fritz. you are not exactly wrong about ubben, though. we are still second to him in the power rankings. i know it should be close between us and ou, but i still think we have been more impressive. like you said, other than the texas lapse, we have been unstoppable. ou has had many close calls and were manhandled by mizzou. Ubben is alright if you ask me. He has us 2nd in his power rankings, but his reasoning for it is completely fair (our loss is worse than Oklahoma's). I think he and most of the media consider Nebraska and Oklahoma to be essentially even. Ubben has also stood up for Nebraska and Courtney Osborne specifically when it comes to the helmet-to-helmet stuff this week. I would like to hear Ubben's take on that whole fumble thing on that play, but I honestly think the guy has been pretty fair to Nebraska. I don't agree with everything he says, but I don't think he's unfair or biased. He just has a different perspective. He also called Martin's hit "clearly illegal" which is giant pile of BS.

  5. That's a tough way to learn to pay attention on kickoffs.
  6. I don't know why the coaches would even schedule the visit when we've only got 4-5 spots left if he wasn't seriously wavering on Indiana.
  7. The overall numbers are skewed because of us putting in the backups at the end of the game and them utilizing a running QB. We held Thomas to 60-some yards though.
  8. I don't know of a free one, but RadioTime is like $3 and does it.
  9. If you tape a sore ankle up well enough, it'll hold pretty well. It's not like a knee where you need 120 degrees of movement. I've had so many ankle injuries I've lost count at this point, but when you get someone who knows what they're doing to tape it up, it makes a big difference.
  10. No, there is usually a longer delay on TV than the radio, so they are going to delay their broadcast a little longer to (I assume) match up with Time Warner HD ABC. I am pretty sure DirecTV is a little further behind Time Warner due to it being satellite. But if you have DVR, it's not difficult to sync up on your own.
  11. I would bet TMart is 50/50 to play in this game. That, combined with our loss last year, Rhoads' ability to coach a good game, and our loss and ISU's win over Texas, and suddenly a lot of tertiary factors seem to line up to indicate that Nebraska might be vulnerable. I don't think that's the case, but worse connections have been made to justify picking one team over another. He's practicing today. I think it's better than 50/50. Great news! Then I do amend my 50/50 to... not sure what. I still think there's a chance he doesn't play, but that's diminishing every time he practices. Perhaps it's the pessimism I developed in the Callahan era still lingering, but I was afraid Taylor's injury was worse than Bo was letting on. Glad to hear that I'm wrong about that. I think a lot of people were worried about that from the way Bo spoke about it. Then again, you know Bo, always intentionally vague. Hopefully he's not restricted in practice at all, not that we'll know about it. But the fact that he's in pads has to be a good sign.

  13. In his most recent Forde Yard Dash, he presents this: Tom Osborne was a combined 50-0 against teams from the state of Kansas.
  14. If you think Bo has forgotten last year and will allow this team to overlook ISU, you're insane. I expect this to get ugly.
  15. Of his three passes, two were really bad. You'd have to be blind to argue otherwise. One was almost picked and the other was completely uncatchable. It took an amazing effort from Reed to catch the third, but at least it wasn't interceptable.
  16. Okay...but you can't ignore he looked pretty bad throwing the ball. He did pretty well against UA, but was still 13/23, and threw 3 picks against Texas. I just can't see why people think Lee is such an obvious improvement over Green.
  17. If Helu and the OLine play like they did against Missouri, it won't matter who starts at QB. We just need to dominate the trenches. If Lee does start, I just hope he doesn't try to do too much.
  18. I don't think that's entirely true. I will freely admit we got away with a pass interference on the throw to the end zone where Hagg (I think) grabbed the WR's arm early and that Crick facemasked Gabbert on the potential fumble near the goalline, but missing a clear as freaking day fumble on the Gabbert sack is absolutely unacceptable. Especially when we have video review. And anyone who buys that "forward progress was stopped" BS is flat-out wrong.
  19. Every time I hear Ed Cunningham's voice I want to helmet to helmet him.
  20. I am very confident we're getting this guy as well. Would be another big get from Texas.
  21. Yeah, I think I mentioned this in the gameday thread. No one cares about the hits when someone gets up. It's the ones where someone gets hurt that people get all riled up over. Clearly, this isn't about punishing the action, it's about punishing the result because people feel bad.
