this sounds too fishy... why would TO hire the OC when it's the HC's job to do so? If Gill wants to come back to Nebraska, he should start making nice with the HC candidates because I highly doubt he'll get the job.

i'd like to see Coach Os talk to Gabbert, Gray and a few of the other decommits... i mean, what kid wouldn't want to be able to say that they not only played for Nebraska, but were recruited by such a legend in college football coaching? whatever Coach does, i'm sure he will continue to make us proud and happy.

Well, maybe yes and maybe no. Short order for him, but I'm guessing the search firm was on the job since at least two weeks ago, and most likely three weeks ago after the Kansas loss. That seems to have been the clincher from what Osborne said at the press conference. So three weeks of research by a top firm, then a few interviews by TO, all of which could have been taken care of in a few days, and there you have it. Not really "short order" at all. a friend of mine on another message board is saying pelini will be announced as HC in the player's meeting today and will give a video-conference speech to them... if this is true, we should know something a few hours before the meeting (which is scheduled for 4:30 CST if i'm not mistaken)

I could care less who she wants for president, who she wants for congress and the senate, and i sure as HELL couldn't care less about who she thinks should be coaching at this university.

i never was totally sold on pelini in the first place... i think he'd be a good fit here, as we saw in 03, but i'm just not sure he's the absolute right choice for the job. but if coach Os picks him, then he's our guy and i'll support him.

He'll be ok, wherever he goes... If not, he's got a cool $3mil with which to chill somewhere in the Carribean for a few years
