  1. I think the difference is Texas has big play makers. They have guys that can change the game with one big play. That and our offense is very inconsistent. The combination makes us the easy underdog. I see the game starting out close but ending in UT's favor with the following score: 17-10 at the half, 35-10 final. Winning the Big 12 North is a big thing for us considering a few years back, we were allowing people to hang 50 and 60 points on us. I think we are on the right track and with a few more years under Bo's belt, I think we can balance the Big 12 again and eventually win another Big 12 Championship. I'm hopeful but it is down the road, not in the Big 12 Championship game. Also, I think the Colorado game will be a big game for us. If we can beat them, I think it will propel us into the Big 12 title game but if we lose, we may limp in and look dismal. Nonetheless, GO BIG RED!!!
  2. I'm not sure if this has been posted or not but it's pretty incredible. He is getting votes and he isn't on the list. He is our beloved Ndamukong Suh! 3. Maybe I'm overly optimistic but I think we are better than we've shown. I mean, before the TTU game, we are literally a non holding call away from being 5-0 and in the top 10, maybe higher. Then we played horrid on offense against TTU and had 8 turnovers against Iowa State. It took all 8 for us to lose that game, too. So, with that being said, we could easily be 6-1 right now and nobody would be questioning anything. Basically, the 8 turnovers have almost decided our season for us like we aren't capable of beating the rest of the teams we play. I saw a few posts about the math of TAMU beating TTU and this and that. Try this math problem out: We lose to Va Tech 16-15 on a last drive Va Tech hammered Miami 31-7 Miami beat OU 21-20 So, if you add all of that up, we beat OU right? I guess the point I'm trying to make is that the season is only halfway over. I still think we can do well the rest of the season. Minus another 8 turnover game, I think we can win out and even beat OU at home. I know it won't be easy and again, I may be overly optimistic but I think we can do it. GO BIG RED!
  4. I think he's right. Take away the turnovers, nobody is having this conversation as we likely win the game 35-9 or thereabout.
  5. at Baylor - I say we win this. vs. Oklahoma - Probably not but our D keeps us in it for a bit. at Kansas - We CAN win this one and I think we will. vs. Kansas St - Hmm...Could this be for the Big 12 North? at Colorado - It's freaking Colorado. I say we win in a dogfight. The final 5 games, I think 4-1 is optimistic and 3-2 may be realistic. The Iowa State game won't likely happen again. 8 turnovers...it's almost like a Playstation game where the turnovers are turned up on the highest setting. GO BIG RED!
  6. Based on the YouTube video, it seems like most of the TO's were when we were about to score or damn near close. Minus the last throw which really shouldn't count too much against Lee. 4th and 10 with a minute to go...meh. Losing makes my week long and aggravating lol.
  7. After watching the football follies video on YouTube from the Iowa State game, how can you blame anybody other than the players that fumbled? I mean, other than the 2 errant throws, Zac Lee apparently played well. I live in Florida so I didn't get a chance to see the game as it is out of my 'area' but after watching those follies, if we don't fumble, we win that game 35-9 at least. I know Zac Lee isn't the best QB and we often question Watson's play calling but not even the almighty Tim Tebow could have won that game for us against Iowa St with those types of turnovers.

    Woah BCS?

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet or not but I found it interesting, and disturbing. http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1003632 What in the hell is this about?
  9. I agree with you. I think this may calm the idea of us making big progress. We may be making progress but it is in baby steps. I don't feel like Zac Lee is getting it done. I know the coaches are to blame for a lot but he could be hurrying people to the line and leading the team. Instead, he is busy throwing the ball out of the back of the end zone. 24-3, lets hope we can keep them from making it worse.
  10. At least Zac gave his WR a chance to catch.....ah wait. No he didn't. Let's hope we can turn something around for the remainder of the season if we want to play in anything outside of the toilet bowl.
  11. Pack it in folks. We won't let ourselves win this game. We keep stopping ourselves. Nothing left for us in the game.
  12. There is no sense of urgency in this game. Oh well, we can still win the Big 12 north if we find an offense.
  13. Is it me or is EVERY punt return called for some type of penalty? Holding/clipping/illegal something. EDIT: I'm not always opposed to them though
  14. If the O can get ANYTHING going, we can get back in this. The D line is dominating at the moment!
  15. When those types of plays aren't going your way, you can tell it's going to be a long day. That play could have turned a lot around.
  16. Lee should have pulled that down and ran for the first down. He hung his WR out to dry.
  17. I'm in Gulf Breeze at home and the crowd here is quiet. It's a house divided, Florida and Nebraska. Nonetheless, the 2nd half needs to be our half. If we can shut them down and get a few big plays on O, we can win this but if we continue the 1st half woes, lookout for a blow out loss. A deflating loss at that.
  18. I turned off the ESPN360 stream. I can't bear it anymore. I'll just check the bottom line to see what happens. I can't stand watching us getting bullied around. Personally, I place the blame on our offense. This season, the offense hasn't showed up against anybody ranked in the top 50 teams. Our defense has primarily carried us through and while thats great, we need our offense to be consistent.
  19. Absolutely. A good D can look really bad when the offense does nothing. I don't know if it's play calling or what but Zac Lee doesn't appear to have an idea as to what is going on.
  20. I'm not really sure why we are sputtering but that last play was like a kidney punch. It's hard to tell for the offense if the pass was a lateral or not. Everything seemed disoriented with that play; the players, the officials and even the camera guys. 14-0....very early still but I'm not feeling good about this game.
  21. All I hope we do is win. We all know Texas Tech can score and we all worry that they will score on us. I hope we can keep them at bay early and get some pressure on the QB. TT runs a gimmick style pass attack where it isn't traditional shotgun but rather the QBs are 8 yards off the ball and the field is spread all 53 1/3 yards. I think if we come out strong early and keep them from busting some big plays, we can win. Other than that, I'm worried that we will lose. Then again, I worry that we will lose every game and even though we are 4-1, all I keep thinking about is that last drive Va Tech had to beat us. If we are 5-0, maybe I feel different about this game? I don't know. Let's go Big Red!
  22. Why not be optimistic? I dont think it could be any worse than it was this year. Besides, its Nebraska. Its tradition. Its time to get back to where we should be and where we were. I think an 8-4 season is definitely feasible next year. Id like to be undefeated and win it all but realistically, I think 8-4 is accurate.
  23. I think we need some balance. A good inside and outside game. Maybe a version of the Spread/Pro set. I think in todays game you either spread the field and get a running/mobile QB or you get a solid balance game like LSU or USC. Both seem to run the ball well and balance out the calls. Then again, this all depends on the defense and if the score is lopsided for the opposing team. I think we need a defensive minded coach who can bring a great OC in to run a balance set.
