  1. Not on Dish Network in Lincoln is it? I can't find it.
  2. Watch a game before speaking your piece. You're obviously just checking box scores and not watching the players. Is it pathetic that he only gets 1 rebound? Absolutely. However, I couldn't disagree with you more about the rest of your post. For one thing, NU has played a couple teams that attempt to get transition points, so on offense Doc has actually had his athletic guards crashing the boards while the big men take off for the defensive end to make sure they get back - hasn't been a bad plan either as NU still finds plenty of boards with guys like Walker. Secondly, the Oregon game saw tons of shots in the paint meaning Diaz was contesting shots while others went for the boards. Not saying his lack of production is acceptable, but there are reasons he doesn't have 20 boards a game. What really irks me about your post is your claim of "he isn't trying, doesn't care." Are you freaking kidding me? Watched a game all year? Against USC, Oregon and SDSU Diaz got in the face of an opposing player. Yesterday he twice got tangled up with another guy and talked a little trash. I've also seen several times after a big shot is made, Diaz whips around and YELLS 'atta-boys to the shooter. Watch a player before you start questioning his character like that. I go to every home game. Can probably count on one hand the number I have missed in the past 5 years. I can appreciate your comments and you are entitled to them. I just don't understand why JBD always looks so soft. He rarely is aggressive. Every once in a while, when he does get his hands on a rebound, someone usually knocks it out of his hands. Grab the freaking ball already!! I did see him in the game yesterday getting angry....but it's always during dead-ball times. He rarely plays that way. Again, you are entitled to your opinion, and I to mine. I will continue to support Doc's team and even JDB when he does something good. Just won't be sad to no longer be watching him. I would love more than anything for him to make me eat crow.
  3. So far, doesn't look like JBD's effort has changed this year. I get so tired of watching that lifeless guy on the court. He gets 24 minutes yesterday and pulls down 1 rebound?? The guy is 6'11" and gets 1 rebound? How do you explain that other than a complete lack of effort. The guy always looks extremely tired, even at tipoff. I know he scores some points for us, gets a block here and there, but he is not my favorite player to watch. Why does Doc keep him in the game so much?
  4. Is it ironic or coincidence that I am both a Husker basketball fan and a Cubs baseball fan. I really get tired of saying "There's always next year", because I don't even believe it any more.
  5. I'm going with Ohio State. First B1G home game. Memorial Stadium will be rocking and NOTHING beats an electric crowd on stadium drive!!!
  6. That really is the funniest phrase I have read in a long time. I'm with walksalone, can't stop chuckling!!
  7. No WAY T.O. hires Bruce Pearl....can't ever see that happening.
  8. Everyone on here makes good points. I think the key today will definitely be aggressiveness. I too have despised watching Diaz for most of the year. But the past few games, he is showing some life and starting to look like a player that Doc thinks he can be. Jeter has definitely improved from last year and I don't think Douche Ballbag will be able to frustrate him like he did last year. Ubel has been showing some more aggressiveness as of late. I could go on, but I realize I am just reiterating what everyone has already said. Keep it close and it will be a fun one today. GBR!!!
  9. They need to morph Diaz into Neimann's bpdy and then you'd probably have both A bigger body for Diaz would help, but unless Doc sends Diaz to the Land of Oz to find a heart, the body won't make a difference. You're right, because throwing a water bottle, screaming for the ball, telling coaches and players you want the ball, and jawing with one of the best players in the nation... twice... shows you have no heart. I've ripped on Diaz more than most (other than PC of course), but the last few games Diaz has shown he really does care. He just doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve. I'll give you that. It was really nice to see that come out of him in the Kansas game. And he even played with more effort afterward, until he got into foul trouble. It would really be nice to see him play with that energy and life, not just because someone pissed him off. I think Diaz could be a really good player. He just rarely plays with the energy that he should, and has recently shown, can play with. Just my opinion.
  10. Lance is the man!! He will really be missed next year.
  11. They need to morph Diaz into Neimann's bpdy and then you'd probably have both A bigger body for Diaz would help, but unless Doc sends Diaz to the Land of Oz to find a heart, the body won't make a difference.
  12. WHY is Doc so enamored with Diaz? He manages to score some points here and there, but he is a big liability. The guys is 6'11" and gets ONE rebound? He gets his butt kicked when attempting to play defense. The guy has no energy and plays with no emotion. I really can't stand watching him play. I wish Big Al's conditioning was better so he could play more minutes. He seems to be making strides but isn't there yet. I agree with the others, sit Diaz's butt on the bench and play another guard. It's not like out guards aren't out rebounding him every game anyway.
  13. I am not a fan of excessive celebrations (the Terrell Owens types), but this was a BAD call. I saw Justin Blackman run 30 yards across the field before crossing the goal line last night, basically taunting the other team, and no flag was thrown. That was much worse in my opinion. Players should be allowed a quick celebration, as long as it is just a show of emotion/excitement, and not aimed at disrespecting the opposing team.
  14. Will be there for all of the games this year. Should be a good time. Missouri is a heck of a team. Not sure which is the worse draw (MO or TX), but for us Husker fans, I really don't think it matters this year. Anyone ever been to the Basketball Hall of Fame? Was thinking of going on Friday when there is no games (unless I can pick up a ticket to the Husker Women's game at 11:00.
  15. I agree. After Doc's first few seasons, there was a lot of hope given the effort he got out of the players he had. But he's been here long enough to get "his own" players in here and the results are getting worse. I was really hoping Doc was the guy to move us forward, but after this year, I am just not thinking he can get it done in the recruiting area.
