  1. This is awesome. Hope the next press conference is Copeland and Palmer announcing they are coming back next year!
  2. Here's a conspiracy theory I heard around this. Maybe Moos offered him the HC job if things don't work out next year with TM? I have nothing at all to back this up but a theory I heard this week.
  3. So is he for sure transferring in or is this just a verbal that he can weasel out of like Xavier Johnson did?
  4. Maybe we just do 1 year guest celebrity assistant coaches. Get some wow factor for recruits to be able to rub elbows with former stars. Let’s turn this thing into a PR gimmick
  5. Lebagg is the one controlling the puppet of Lou. He might be a good pro coach but I don't think he'd be very good at recruiting at all. Who wants to play for the guy that got stepped over by AI?
  6. Let's just wait and see how next year plays out
  7. I find it comical how people are acting like we had a terrible season and we need to fire the coach immediately. It's like a lot of the TM haters are mad we had a 22 win season because it didn't fit your narrative of how badly we need to fire our coach. Football mindset creeping in to the basketball side of things.
  8. This dude is an unapologetic TM hater so take what he says with a grain of salt. I commented on one of his tweets and he went back and forth with me quite a bit. It's like he's actually cheering for Miles to fail (feel like a lot of others are too) so their wish is granted and he's gone.
  9. Better than nothing but not a huge vote of confidence either. I take it as a business decision Moos made to show a little vote of confidence while limiting the payout amount if next year turns in to a dumpster fire. I'm hoping they can build off last year, bring everyone back and get that elusive tourney win. Not gonna lie though, Hunter leaving and now Xavier opening his recruiting really makes me nervous. I try and remind myself of how we all felt when Jacobsen, Morrow and the others transferred and we actually got better then next year. Just going to put my head in the sand and think happy thoughts.
  10. I just hope this isn't the beginning of more bad off season news.
  11. Losing Hunter sucks. I'll admit I'm the biggest Tim Miles honk there is, but this smells fishy to me. I hope this doesn't start a landslide of other things. Hopefully we can bring in another good recruiter and X's and O's guy. I truly believe that we have the talent to win a couple of tourney games next year, but we need everyone coming back and continue bringing in recruits. Not going to lie, this makes me nervous about the rest of the off season.
  12. This is what I'm hoping for as well. If this happens there is no reason we shouldn't get our first ever NCAA tourney win. And if that Happens we should erect a statue of Tim Miles outside and the fans should have to bow to it each time they enter PBA!
  13. Let's not. Zero experience coaching college and we don't want to be the school that just hires former players as all of our coaches do we?
  14. Looks like the Tim Miles haters can go back into their caves for another year. See you at the first game next year. Enjoy football season, sure hope Frost wins it all this year or he better watch out.
  15. Moss came out and stated Miles will be back next year. Good move IMO.
  16. I don't think Miles is gone either. Here's what I'd do. Extend the contract to 5 full years. That way he has no excuses when going out recruiting and if we have a back slide next year and have to let him go, just chalk it up as a cost of doing business. That way you've given him full support and if he can't get it done then we know full and well that he had all possible chances to succeed. Next year could be great so let's not put up barriers to success. On the other hand if we don't get some guys in to fill the shoes of Palmer & Copeland after next year things could get difficult. It will be interesting to see what Miles has up his sleeves.
  17. I really wish our offense would develop some kind of identity. It seems like all we do is pick and roll, drive the lane or shoot outside shots. If our outside shots aren't falling it becomes pretty easy to shut down everything else. I just keep hoping and praying every year we will turn the corner. This year we kind of did, but not all the way. Losses like Illinois, St. Johns, Penn St. and Miss St keep us wondering if we will ever turn the corner.
  18. After last night it makes you wonder if the metrics of RPI, Quad 1 wins etc weren't right after all. We didn't look like a tourney team and we have only beaten 1 tournament team all year. All I know is I'm planning my lunch break around being able to cheer against the Sooners today. If we aren't in the tourney might as well hate cheer against the teams we don't think should be in there either. Oh the life of a Husker Hoops fan....
  19. I would say one more year. Either next year Tim Miles turns the corner and we give him an extension or it's time to cut the cord. It would send a really confusing message to cut him loose now after a record win total. Granted those wins were all against teams we should beat and we never rose up and beat a high quality team outside of Michigan. I'll be the first to admit I'm the biggest Tim Miles "honk" but after last nights un-inspiring performance I have a bad taste in my mouth. On to football I guess
  20. Man what a gut punch yesterday was. I get that maybe Nebraska didn't do enough to get in, but seriously a 5 seed in the NIT? The media and the powers that be must really hate Nebraska basketball. Oklahoma and Texas getting in is a huge joke and really makes it appear that the tourney is turning into a popularity contest. If Oklahoma doesn't have Trae Young and ESPN being so obsessed with them, they probably don't even make the NIT. Kind of hard to take them seriously when it has turned into a popularity contest.
  21. Gets old doesn’t it. That’s why I do t come on here much any more. Seems like a bunch of football fans trying to pay attention to basketball once we finally get good.
  22. Ha good point. Didn’t they do that with Fran McCaffery and Ferentz? “Oh you just went 3 games above .500, lifetime contract”
  23. Extend his contract 10+ years, build a statue, and declare a statewide Tim Miles holiday. I am kidding....kind of
