I think Bo is a great fit, as long as we can keep the offense moving the ball and putting up points. I think keeping Watson was huge for the coaching staff.

By the way, I feel really sorry for Jets fans, they have had enough bad history.

I thought the 2006 season was when I started doubting Calllahan. It started when Callahan coached not to win but to not get blown out at USC. I thought Callahan was out coached most of that season. We were lucky to beat Kansas, Mizzou, Texas A & M, ect..... I thought Callahan was then horrible in the BIG 12 championship and should have apologized all off season to his team after the Auburn bowl debacle! Callahan had absolutely no appreciation for the Nebraska tradition and what made us successful, and it showed in just about every bad decision he made in the Husker's culture. Man I am glad he is gone!!!

Coach Bo: Thanks for giving me hope and giving me a reason to believe Nebraska football will start to look and perform like Nebraska football... Now I won't take up any more of your time because I know you have a lot of SERIOUS work to do!!

I agree BigREDIowan. I think it will take some patience. But if the defense makes some quick strides, I still think we can put up some points.....then we may all be happier sooner rather than later!

I agree that the talent cupboard is not bare. We scored some points last year. If we can improve our defense in points allowed if nothing else, I think we could see a 9 win season next year. If we do, that will fall into recruiting the talent that it will take to be a top 10 team nationally. I think Bo's X and O's are solid, and the fact we were able to keep our Offensive coaches, will make the transition much smoother. With Bo's enthusiasm and TO's influence, I just don't see this thing not turning around quickly.

Nicely said Celtic Rover. I have to admit that I was frustrated during the Solich years. I thought our talent dropped off markedly. However, I agree (with hindsight and we know what that is worth) that it would have been nice to see the 03' coaching staff have a little more time. Lets admit it, we were all living in the glory of the 90's and those expectations at that point. I do think Solich handled himself with a professionalsim and class that is the staple of the TO years. I think we have it back, and if Solich can feel good about his years at NU again, and possibly be involved in some manner is a great thing. Good things should happen to good people, and Solich is good people. I have to admit I was happy to see Solich have some success at Ohio.

That is a great story! My mom and sister are graduates from ISU. They have great senses of humor too! I think that is how they get through long football seasons!

What great publicity for the program! I would say the article was centered on the class of TO and midwestern values! Things that I am proud of! This is going to be such a LONG off season! I can't wait to see Pelini and the Big Red in August!

You have to get the attitude right to turn this thing around. I don't think we could have gotten a better fit. Football season won't get here soon enough!

I have to say....there is NO DOUBT CU has the worst fans! However, Mizzou should be much higher on the list! They are OBNOXIOUS! My wife is a Mizzou grad and she gets more embarrassed the more we see games in Columbia! Can't wait to get the Buffs and Tigers in Lincoln this year and restore the order!

I think 9-3 or 8-4 is a realistic expectation. Confidence and momentum plays alot in a season (ask Kansas and Mizzou). If we beat Virginia Tech look out! If we get blown out (see USC) it could get ugly. I think we can score some points, but like 07' it will all depend on our ability to stop people. Why are Nebraska fans the best in the country? Because we can love our team and still be realistic! Bo is the right guy! We will start talking conference championships, and BCS bids in the not so distant future!

If Ganz is the guy, I am fine. I thougth he was a playmaker...just needs to cut down on the INTs. INTs happen when you have to score every possesion! Competition is always healthy, but bottom line is, quarterback is the least of my worries for next season!

I really believe we will need to address our defensive front. You have to be able to get pressure up front. It makes or breaks your LB's in todays game. I also think our corners will need to step up. It may take some time to get the athleticism we were accustomed to in the 90's. Don't want to make light of intensity and will....Pelini will have that straightened out soon. The ship has righted itself....we just need to upgrade athleticism. I definately think Bo is the right guy.
