  1. aTm @ 3 over Baylor............ Lock it up!!!
  2. I just cant see the Mad Hatter leaving LSU. Or Belotti coming out of retirement to coach Colorado. Yeah that won't happen. Neither will Gruden, even suggesting it is laughable. He could have easily taken the Notre Dame job last year had he wanted it. So I highly doubt he sees Boulder as a better option than both the Irish and his cushy ESPN contract. Sometimes I think Chucky's agents have a deal with every sports outlet in the country to name drop him into any discussion involving a vacant HC position. They probably even get free swag sent to them like Coke or Oreos might give you for mentioning their brand on air. Maybe a little Chucky doll with a $20 bill in it's hand.........
  3. Why he was only telling the truth. This call was even more heinous considering the BS excuse the refs used last week on Gabbert's fumble. Unbelievable!
  4. Mizzou @ 4 over TT.....My wife was the deciding vote on this pick, so for the good of my marriage let's hope I don't get Pinkled!
  5. With all the talk of Green moving to TE I can't help but wonder, is there any evidence that Cody can catch passes or even block at a high enough level to see the field at that position? I honestly doubt that he gets a terrible amount of playing time if he does make the switch. I suspect that this could become a case of, "you made your bed now you have to lie in it". ie: Cody wanted to play QB, and now he has to deal with the possibility that he just isn't good enough to be the starter here at NU.
  6. Ha, the first few lines of this article cracked me up when they state that the Cyclones are trying for their 3rd "championship" in school history. Talk about high standards! Both of their so called championships where shared (2004 being only a divisional champ.), and one of them occurring a whooping 98 years ago! Poor cyclones, it's sad how little success it takes for them to get their hopes up. Good luck on Saturday fellas, your going to need it!
  7. Happy Samhain mothertruckers!!!!

  8. Hope you all have a freaktastic evening planned, I know I do!
  9. You don't see how high the expectations are from fans? It's absurdly outrageous at times. Guys trying to compare last years defense with the '95 team, Martinez being compared to Crouch, Crick to Suh...the list goes on and on. And when these guys don't meet these expectations, fans can come down hard on the players (read: Niles) Well boo freagin' hoo! I never thought I would witness a Husker team or it's fans using our high expectations as an excuse for poor performance. This is the university of Nebraska, high expectations come with the territory. If these players can't handle that maybe they should transfer to North Dakota Polytechnic and play where no one gives a damn how horrible they play. It seems to me like some players are more than willing to accept the god treatment at frat parties and local bars, but as soon as they have a sh#t game we are supposed to act asa if they are poor "kids" just playing a game? Give me a break! To quote the only smart thing CU coach Dan Hawkins ever said, "This ain't inter murals brotha!"
  10. Holy sh#t, nothing this insane could actually be real! Right? As for Dog, he is a scumbag for the same reason "Dr." Drew Pinsky is a scumbag. They pretend to care about people and their well being, when all they really give a damn about is celebrity and the cash that comes with it.
  11. Funny, I was telling my buddy that lives in Kansas City the exact same thing. If that's the case let's hope that if he does end up at NU he produces better results for us than Locker has at U Dud! Having outstanding measurables is great and all, but it doesn't necessarily win football games.
  12. I don't buy that argument. Sure he has thrown some bad balls here and there but like EZ said it's more about footwork than a lack of ability. Besides if Watts would open up the playbook more on game day then maybe TMart would gain some confidence and settle down a bit in the pocket. It's unfair to characterize Martinez as being incapable when he is given 10 chances a game to get his feet wet. Let's not forget TMart only has three seasons of playing QB under his belt, so expecting him to have Manning like accuracy at this point in his career is a little presumptuous IMO.
  13. This ISU/TX score is making me even less confident in this Husker team's chances of winning a Big12 title.....

  14. Exactly, UO knows how to mix it up in a way which unfortunately our OC doesn't. No play is going to continue to be successful when you run it 30+ times a game, and on 90% of your first downs.
  15. I'll be avoiding the SEC like the plague for a while........I'll take Texas Tech @ 2 1/2 over Colorado.
  16. Well your all full of positivity today.....I wish I could get on board, but this team's unity has me more than a little concerned
  17. Based on what evidence? And how do you know that a new O coordinator wouldn't bring in even better recruits? I think some people are seriously overvaluing Watts's reputation as a top notch OC, ie: that he is one....
  18. So would you have created this thread had Nebraska won? Would a better leader at QB help our receivers catch the ball? I swear I have been doing so much of this > lately while reading HB, that I may have a permanent hand print on my forehead!
  19. It blows my mind how much blame some fans are still trying to pin on TMart for the UT loss. I can give you 9 better reasons for it, 8 dropped passes and 1 mediocre Off coordinator........nuf said.

    1. Lil' Red

      Lil' Red

He also had mediocre play by the O-line
