The Gator Bowl official said the same thing. Besides NU's huge fanbase, they'd rather take a Husker team coming in from a three-game winning streak than a Missouri team that probably just got beat in the Big 12 title game. YEAH why take a team with 2 more wins, 1 less loss and beat the huskers by 35 on their home field. That team would suck... Besides, they didnt beat the 3 worse teams in the north in 3 straight weeks. GOSH The reason behind picking the Husker over Missouri is not the fact that NU has beat only mediocre teams..but the fact that if we are going to a bowl....every freakin person in the state is either going to the game or going to watch it (not to mention the millions of fans around the country that bleed husker red).... Compared to the group of missouri fans that just came out of the word work within the last two-three years.... Geez that math just doesn't add up?!?!?! Geez i know. if only half the people in the entire state of MU watched, that would only be 2 1/2 time the entire state population of Nebraska. Silly me. And that doesnt even include all the other MU fans in the world... Math is soooooo hard Well I guess you win the numbers game today...... Well, 49 out of all the 50 states have a at least one season Ticket holder for Nebraska i dont think MU can say that. (Rhode Island being the odd one out)

Personally, the running game deserves a B- It wasnt good, but even so, it was essiantial & will be a building block for NU's rushing game.

Prince will be a star in a few years. On one play, WMU threw it deep - like 50 yards deep - and it was right on the spot. But Prince leaped at just the right time and made an outstanding play. West looked good, but he looked bad as well. We will have to see with him.

With as many seniors on the line as nebraska has, its probably best to Red-shirt him anyway. How about our two southerners - P.j. Smith & Khiry Cooper? Red-shirted or not?

New member here. In just a couple of weeks, we face our first test of the Pelini Era. The challenge will be against a ranked Va. Tech team that has a speedy, 2-QB offense with a highly touted Defense... or so people thought. They lost to the games underdog, East Carolina (though ECU is a good team). The hokies played sloppy in every aspect and were embarrased. The Huskers won there first game & are looking rather good. What are the chances we beat Va. Tech? Will a W volt us in the BCS raankings? Or will Va. Tech self-destruct before coming to Linoln, making it an unaffective game (in concerns to our ranking?)
