It's not interesting timing - it's ridiculously predictable timing. It's politics. Of course people who want Bo gone waited until the most opportune time to drop this bomb. It's obvious. It also doesn't change what Bo said, and it does nothing to help the notion that his football team is a reflection of himself - an out of control roller coaster. The release comes exactly at a time when many of the fans are questioning Bo Pelini and if he could get us to the next step. This was kept for this exact moment and basically let Bo hang himself. Many of the people supporting Bo started questioning his team after the UCLA game, this was the perfect time for whoever had this tape to release it. It puts the nail in Bo's coffin and though I hate to see him go, he did it to himself. He should have known that this could happen as he's so high profile in Nebraska.

I doubt anyone can say with all honesty that we even belong in the top 25. If any poll has us ranked it's because of the Nebraska name and nothing more. We definitely don't deserve to be ranked on any merits.

What i think he's talking about Defense is simply due to our tradition of the Blackshirts. When you talk Huskers, you talk the Blackshirts. Currently the blackshirts are being trounced yearly by teams and all over the country are now being called things such a pinkskirts and crap like that. When someone is proud of the heritage that is Husker football, you tend to get a little upset about the embarrassment that is our defense as of the last 4 years. I believe Tommie is correct and I look forward to his comments about the offense. Bo wants to run this defense and it's tradition into the ground(assuming he's the actual guy calling defensive plays) he better be ready to accept the fate he receives when the chickens come to roost.

We must hire an OC and/or DC with actual experience. Either or both of them should already know how to recruit as well as know how to make changes as needed. Currently we seem to have very little chance with Paps and Beck.

If anyone knows my past on here, they know I am insanely hard on Bo. But even I believe Bo can be the guy. But for him to be that guy, Bo himself must be willing to make changes to the program (ie., coaching staff, weight program, and recruiting). Bo is smart. Sometimes too damn smart for his own good. And the players respect him. Those two things alone still give me some hope he can be a terrific HC for us. I don't believe he will make these changes and he will himself be shown the door. He's just too damn stubborn.

It seems from everything on TV and through all of us, we can see that we need a defense that blitzes. The guy Nebraska pays to see this stuff can't seem to pull his head out of his arse. Money well spent.
