God, how I wanted Iowa to go down against UNI. I was thinking of Cy the whole time, and all I could do was say, "Cy wins twice". Then, of course, that $%$#-ing field goal was blocked, TWICE. Oh the humanity that might have been.

Elsewhere, I saw Sooner fans saying that the inexperience wasn't going to be a factor. Maybe it won't by the time the Huskers host them, but if they don't improve, Bradford won't be the only injury.

Maybe that's why Hawkins might be on the hot seat - there are 10 games between now and then. More immediate future: Five days is not much time to address the issues, and for a road game. The scheduling of all these non-Saturday games might come back to haunt them because of the total disruption of timing. Or, being on tv so much might fund the "Fire Hawkins" account that was set up last night.

I should have used a sarcasm emoticon, since re-reading my post it sounds kind of mean. But, I think it is also true. I am obviously hoping they can maintain the same level against better D-lines later, though. Remains to be seen.

Just do what my dad started doing during the Callahan years. Record every game and then wait till you know the final score to know whether or not to watch. He had to do that for health reasons.

He'll last the season, but you're right that it's not going to be much easier. They don't even have a full week now to prepare now for the next game on Friday, @Toledo. Toledo should be an easier game (on paper), but when there are so many things to fix, a full week of preparation is a necessity.

I know there are those types of people in every fan base, but it takes a special low life to go onto another team's message boards to flame and troll. Oh, and taking a knee was the smart thing to do. The score was close enough not to chance a mistake and have a run back of a fumble or pick.

I hate to say it, but I like Hawkins. True, so far he hasn't done squat in the W/L area, but at least he's gotten CU's image much more respectable. However, if they go on to lose tonight, I don't know how much more patience with the W/L the administration or fans will have, better image or not.

During some of the dark years, the treadmill was moved into the living room and I just walked slowly the whole time. I highly recommend it.
