  1. Castille appears to be doing well.
  2. What you said. It's a combination of two imho.
  3. I'm surprised they didn't get Taylor Swift or some other equally uninteresting country singer. (sorry country music fans)
  4. As far as I know his career is not over, but 3 in 12 months is quite a few. They need to be extra careful with him, because these type of things can be not only career ending but life ending.
  5. Don't forget about Ward. He will see playing time at the running back position this year. That would be great. I love any time the not so touted recruit makes a splash for playing time. Seems like a great kid.
  6. LOL. I just like to give a little back . Now you know why I come here. There aint much in this world for a good tiger fan as far as message boards go Just be glad your boards aren't like the netbuffs.com board. That has to be the worst forum as far as topics/speculations/opinions go. You can't have meaningful discussions on their because of the poor way it is set up, either. Fro, maybe the lack of good Missouri boards is a sign from God to be a Husker fan or at least make them your second favorite, as weird as that is
  7. I think people want Castille to be the big body guy, and they want Helu to be the guy good in space. Castille's size is what made him the candidate for short yardage situations, but Helu is much better at breaking tackles (as we saw multiple times this year). This year, the only difference between the two is roughly 10-15 pounds, but I still think Castille is the best man as far as short yardage (despite his fumblitis). I mean, we all saw how he laid the wood to that defensive back during the Kansas State game.
  8. Spooky Tooth, I lol'd at your avatar.
  9. Huskers.com has him as a sophomore, so I'm not quite sure.
  10. This kids higlights are insane. He could be the best RB in the class of 2011 for sure. You should check out Lache Seastrunk. His are even more impressive imho.
  11. I'm definitely not a huge fan of LTCG, but I would much rather listen to him than U2....
  12. We can still bask in the glory of our huge series lead over them
  13. I agree about our defense pulling us through some games, however, I must tweak your argument about our offense. While I do think we took a step back offensively, it was really only in two areas: the WR position and quarterback position. Here are the positives of our situation: 1) Zac Lee is physically a better QB then Joe Ganz. He has more arm strength, speed, and has taken a JUCO team to a national championship. Granted, it's JUCO, but still. 2) Helu and Castille are arguably two of the best backs in the Big 12. Their numbers don't show it considering they had to split time with Lucky last year, but they are both very talented. Castille sliced and a diced the best defense Nebraska had seen all year in Clemson for 125 yards. And Helu put up 800+ yards, more than half of which came in the final four games. 3) We lost two OL starters, but the entire left side of our line (center, guard, and tackle) are returning starters. This year, expect Nebraska to revisit the days of old a little bit by running the ball more than they did in 2008. Probably won't see a lot of the option or the Oz-bone, but you will see more running plays in order to help spur our passing game.
  14. Looks like the making for a damn good game! Except I kinda wish all the number one defensive players were on one team, just to see how much they improved.
  15. Very interesting. Unsportsmanlike Conduct had a long discussion involving the potential for the UNO A.D. job to open a door up for the UNL A.D. job. As much as we wish Osborne would stay alive like a God, eventually we're going to need a guy who knows what he is doing. Kevin and Mike said it's possible that if Alberts does well at UNO, he could become a potential UNL A.D. in a couple years when Osborne retires.
  16. So he's going to treat the recruiting process like a cow and milk it for everything he can. He must be. Come on recruits. You're going to sign here anyways, may as well get it over with as soon as possible.
  17. I've heard it pronounced both ways. Most seem to pronounce it Spain-Oh. Haven't heard "Spain-Oh" yet lol. The guys from LJS and OWH pronounce it "Span-Oh" in their video coverages.
  18. How does the green jersey thing work in the spring game? From watching it last year, it appears that if a player touches the quarterback with an arm the play is blown dead. Is that how it works or is it a little more complicated?
  19. I don't know how he's progressing this year but I remember passes careening off his hands last year like he was the second coming of Frantz Hardy. Damn you for reminding me of that kid Rivals did a cool article on Gilleylen and said that his spring practice has been going very well and that he should be a key contributor this year. But, naturally we'll have to wait and see since he was quiet following last years spring game.
  20. Yeah, when I saw that it got to the point of where I was thinking "OK, it's fun to see these projections, but some of them are clearly off base". lol
