  1. Yea im gonna try this, quite frankly every year i do it myself by going over the rosters on the Huskers.com site. Something about this year just irks me. maybe the fact that they made Helu bald, and Marlon Lucky is still on the team.
  2. Agreed, talked to a friend of mine from Missouri who is actually a Michigan fan, and he still hates NU for that bowl game. I mean i for over the horrible called Orange Bowl game against Florida when Eric Crouch played.
  3. Must've changed since i last looked. Texas has the most votes, and the favor goes to NU at 54%.
  4. See i heard that the starters for LB we expected to be Dillard, May and Koehler. Will Compton, Sean Fisher, and Matt Holt were expect to either still compete for a starting position or backup, but even behind them there is still talent such as Graham Stoddard, Alonzo Whaley and Blake Lawrence. Although isnt Lawrence out to injury, or something? I couldve swore i heard he wasnt playing this year.
  5. They did leave them out! Oh man, that sucks for ISU, i guess ESPN just doesnt count them as being in the Big 12 North anymore... i feel for the ISU fans out there in Ames. Then again when ISU isnt doing so well, you can just switch to Iowa Hawkeyes, right? In anycase, all but 4 states think Nebraska will win the Big 12 North spot, and only NH has a 3-way tie with us between Kansas and Colorado. Even Internationally, were picked to win.
  6. Nate Swift was #87, not #84, right?
  7. Sorry i was going by his freshman year number. Probably should have gone over the rules before doing this, haha. No brainer #87 Nate Swift!
  8. #82 Mike Rucker #83 Terrence Nunn Wasnt Kyle Vanden Bosch #83?
  9. That sucks, but i think he was a secondary linebacker going into this season behind Matthew May and Alonzo Whaley. So it doesnt really hurt us LB wise. Still though, hope he gets better and can be ready next season if it is a season ending injury.
  10. I wanna get tickets to this game, no matter where we are during the season, i want my first game in Memorial Stadium to be a rivarly game.
  11. Last year was tough to watch....it will be nice if his game does have major implications in Nov, I would imagine Game Day would come for the game then.... Yea, i need a breathing machine at the end of the first quarter last year....
  12. I dont know, i think it might be isolated incidents or maybe a football season thing. Because i drove through Boulder and with a Nebraska plate, and wearing Husker apparel to re-fill on gas, and this was early January 2009, and i was treated with respect from the locals. So i dont know, i think its just a football season thing and isloated incidents.
  13. Perhaps Mike De'Armond should leave the professional comments of Big 12 Football to professional, he clearly doesnt know what he is talking about. Its times like this i hope NU wins the Big 12 North, so i can personally slap that article back into his face saying STFU you drunk!
  14. I respect Texas A&M for their sharing hatred of the Texas fanbase. As for Texas Tech, your absolutely right, everytime they win a big they wanna tear something down in the stadium. Im surprised the entire Texan State Trooper department isnt out there with tear gas. Just a quick question, have Nebraska fans ever stormed a field at Memorial stadium or torn down a goalpost? I know when we won a NC championship, it seemed everybody in state was storming the streets celebrating, but i dont think ive heard of us tearing up Memorial Stadium over a game.
  15. I Can Freakin' Feel It, every morning when i pass Memorial Stadium every day to go to work. I Can Feel It!
  16. Look you guys, your discussing this issue way more than what the thread topic is. It started out as the fact Christian Peter had alot of negative things on his wiki page, and very little about his sports career, now you visit Jason Peter's wiki page and its a bit more credible to his career both collegiate and professional. Bickering about it now, wont change the past nor the opinions of others in the past. So why get into a heated debate about it. The troublemakers know who they are, and know what they did, and someday it will come back to them, and for those who kept their nose clean, then good on them, they set the example and are the true professionals. As for the "No Football Players" rule, you know if thats what other students did in order to keep THEIR experience at the University of Nebraska a good one, then i applaud them for taking the initiative to make their college education a good one.
  17. You know it could just be that since NU fans are getting really excited about this year, that ESPN goes with the flow and makes good comments about NU just to gain fan attention from NU fans... Someone get Mike Hill a ticket to a Husker home game so he can learn how to pronounce the names right...i mean i couldve swore he said Ray Halu.
  18. I actually went a bit deeper and read the following stories from CFN as well.... http://cfn.scout.com/2/878725.html - Offense http://cfn.scout.com/2/878723.html - Defense http://cfn.scout.com/2/878722.html - Depth Chart I have to say, among all of them i agree with the guys who wrote the articles. There were a few surprises though, i didnt realize there was such a lack of confidence in our WR core, but then again, i did know that we have an extremely talented TE lineup. It seems that they express a good amount of confidence for Zac Lee, and i think we all know, we were a little iffy about him. They definitely play up our DL, which i had no problems with at all, and i know they are going to dominant the backfield, much like they did last year. But once again the problem lies with the Coverage team, its good that Thenarse is predicted to take over O'Hanlon's spot, i kind of thought he didnt do alot when the ball was in the air, he just wanted to hit. I like how he mentioned that the first real test for NU is the Virgina Tech game in Blacksburg, and if we win that, we might be looking at a National Title run. hahaha. But i do agree, that Nebraska has a good chance of getting a Big 12 Championship spot by winning the North, but if we cant beat Kansas or Missouri at home, might as well count it out. So it seems that this year will be a pretty exciting year for us, GO HUSKERS!
