  1. They also think Mangino should put out a self-help book on how to live life to the fullest as a human blimp. They're opinions are a little shaky...... LOL wow that's awesome. I don't even know what to say back to that besides thank you. That was great
  2. What I think is funny is that on KUsports.com all the Jayhawk fans seem to think Cody Green is the next Vince Young! They're all in shock and awe that we aren't starting Green. Just thought that was funny and would share that with you guys.
  3. I love the chronological order of your emotions! LMAO!
  4. Lou Groza Award... http://www.lougrozaaward.com/ They should just give him the Groza award now...
  5. Even Helu, and Henery? Henerey= not easy to find (got me) Helu = I'm sure he missed a block somewhere, also from the towering view of my couch, he could have cut in instead of out (I believe in the 2nd qtr) and picked up the first. Instead we punted. Small things, small point differential. This game reminds me of my High School Alumni. I graduated from Pierce, NE. Pierce lost to Boone Central in the finals in '01? (after my graduation) The loss happened after Pierce missed a game winning field goal by inches. The argument was if the game was played on a H.S. field, Pierce would have made the FG. My argument to my relatives and friends (which they did not like) was that if Pierce would have done a couple of things different, they wouldn't have had to count on a FG. Unfortunately, fans remember the last few plays the most. What we need to remember and realize is that there was 58 minutes leading up to that last 2. Bring on ULL!!!! I think Henery shanked one punt! LOL but either way he did MORE than his part for the game.
  6. Ok look at it this way, we just lost on the road to an opponent that has one of the most hostile environments to play in and they needed a miracle to beat us. Oh and btw they probably have the best red zone defense we'll play all year. No Big 12 defense will keep us out of the end zone like they did. Plus our players know they can compete with anybody anywhere now even though we lost. Both Mizzou and Tech are very good teams that should be ranked but I believe we can go on the road and beat Mizzou and follow it up with a good home win against Tech to get our season kicked into high gear. Just a positive way to look at it I guess.
  7. i dont see them going 9 - 3 this year. i see a loss against Purdue, Washington, USC and maybe Navy. Umm, Purdue? Really? I agree - Purdue? Really? But will add, Navy? Really? and Washington? Really? USC will rebound, so I still don't see ND winning that one. Washington got up for a conference rival, just like Oregon/Oregon State do for USC. I see them improving this year with the new coach, but it won't be enough - or will it? I'd love it if they did get to a bowl because otherwise our non-conference next year really looks embarrassing. Navy almost won in Columbus this season, have road wins against Pittsburgh and Wake Forest the last couple of years; plus the triple option can be a headache to defend. Of course ND shouldn't lose, but I can sort of see that one. However, Purdue is a terrible, terrible team. It's between them and Indiana for worst in the Big 10- enough said. If Weis loses to them, someone may try to insert poison into his twinkies. I think that ND will lose to USC for sure but any others on their schedule are definite maybes, like Washington, BC, Pitt, and Stanford.
  8. Why is it theirs to lose? The Heisman is supposed to be awarded to the most outstanding player in college football in a given year. McCoy has 6 TDs and 4 INTs against UL-Monroe, Wyoming and Texas Tech. I think McCoy should have won it last year, but he shouldn't even be in the discussion right now, much less it be "his to lose." Tebow has better numbers, but just because he stepped out of a tackle against Tennessee doesn't mean the Heisman is his to lose, either. Being objective and putting aside all biases and media hype- As of right now, of course it can/will change, Jahvid Best should be the frontrunner. But he plays out west for a team not named USC, so he has no chance. I think that IF Cal is a real contender which is a BIG if right now and he continues to put up consistent good numbers he could win it, and hell he's already getting some good highlight reel plays as well. But I do agree with all points so far...
  9. Our boys are pissed off and will be anxious to take it out on someone....Sorry Cajuns. It ain't gonna be pretty. Yeah, I remember how pissed off they were after losing to Virginia Tech last year, and were going to take it out on Missouri. Yep, I remember that well. Now, I am in no way saying La-La = MU, but I see this as a hangover type game, with a closer-than-the-experts-think type of win. Way to kill the steam we had rollin' LOL but you are being a realist and have a point. It could be a hangover game like you said but I HOPE you are wrong
  10. Were still beating this dead horse eh?
  11. This thread is just depressing as all hell... Brings back so many painful memories... FML...
  12. Bad. They have been scrounging to win against terrible teams. I have a question. What do you guys think will happen regarding the throwbacks? Do you think the players will wear them out onto the field, or that they will wear regular game jerseys and head back into the locker room a bit early to change? I think it would make the effect of the throwbacks more special if we could see them the second they exit from the tunnel walk. I doubt they'll go back in and change, I bet they wear them the entire time. And I can't wait to see us crush ULL! I don't feel sorry for them one bit either, that's just football baby!
  13. Yeah I'm thinking within the next few years we'll be competing at a high level and will be playing for National titles. Hell maybe even next year we can win the conference by gaining momentum from going to Washington and winning a game on the road that then carries over into our season of redemption
  14. I'm gonna go with VT '09 because of exactly what BlackShirt1340 said...
  15. i dont see them going 9 - 3 this year. i see a loss against Purdue, Washington, USC and maybe Navy. Personally, I think a loss to any Big 10 team should be automatic disqualification for a bowl game! I second that!
  16. LOL I'd love to see us play USC in a bowl game but I think we'll be playing in a better bowl game than the Holiday Bowl!
  17. Oh no I didn't get that from anybody, we must've just been thinking alike I guess.
  18. Yes he definitely proves his worth time and time again. I can honestly say without bias that he is the best kicker in the country.
  19. Yep, and we had plenty of chances to win the game. Looks like we were right. Yeah all we had to do was convert at least one of those chances in the red zone into a TD and we win. But it wasn't meant to be...
  20. So I'm thinking that Jahvid Best for Cal should be leading the Heisman race now. I know he's not one of the pretty boys from the 3 amigos of Bradford, McCoy , or Tebow but his numbers are very nice and his team is undefeated. I know it's still to early for Heisman talk but what do you guys think?
  21. Exactly my point, every team has losses, they come and go. Yes we are looking much better, point is we should love this team regardless. Bleed Husker red no matter what, 300 consecutive sellouts is insane. Always will bleed Husker red.
