  1. I was wondering who all was coming in at semester from this class. I know Turner and Moore but have no clues as to any others. if this has been talked about in another forum feel free to move or delete.
  2. we need to get off youdub's back. he is not on here talking sh*t. he stated his opinion and some questions and some of you are taking this too serious. this where we HAVE to remain "the best fans in all of college football" by showing class and losing with some dignity. we were not the best team last night. we were going through the motions and did not want to be there. we made our own path to that game. if you ask me, we lost this game the day the bowls were announced. we did not want to play a UW team we smoked in september but dont lose to OU or A&M or UT and we would not have to. youdub, thanks for posting here and not trying to stir the pot. congrats on the win and good look next year and if you can make it down to the game in lincoln next year, you will not regret it. it will be a different and eye opening experience for you coming from the west coast.
  3. anyone eles get chills listing to, reading, or hell, even thinking about this prior to a big red game?
  4. so are we wearing white on white? i dont like the white on white. keep it classy with the red pants. we dont seem to do well with the white on white
  5. on solich's dismissal, it was because he was not pulling in the type of players needed to compete at the level nebraska was accustom to and correct me if i am wrong because this is all speculation or hear say but that he knocked up a female employee for the university? i am not sure about that but it was a rumor that i heard around the time he was let go. i know he had a little bit of a drinking problem and Peterson had his own agenda as well but i just wondering if anyone eles heard that.
  6. thats too bad. he had the skill set to maybe be something special. i know he was slacking when it came to school but there were also some character issues. 3 schools in 4 years. who knows maybe he will pop up on a roster next year or in years to come.
  7. does anyone know where vondrae tostenson ended up? i know he was going to iwcc but i did not see him listed on the roster and could not find any news about him with iwcc other than he was a recruit. he was a tall big body kid who grew out of his WR body into a DE or TE body type. i know he had some character issues so that maybe what his deal is
  8. is it just me or does espn not know that rex played and played well early in the season. he would have had a great freshmen year had it not been for that injured foot. lets also not forget what he did against colorado. it seems to me they think he was a no name that showed up out of no where for that one game.
  9. once a husker always a husker. he will always be welcomed here, but his team wont be. i live in kansas and i dont think kansas fans realize it yet in what they are getting in gill. he screams the nebraska tradition by the way he carries himself on and off the feild. mangino on the other hand was a good in game coach but was not liked well by his players. hated by the media and by the end of last year the fans started to really see what he was made up of. gill is twice the man mangino is, was, and ever will be.(insert your fat joke here)
  10. this topic has to be only to get a rise out of people. there is no info or facts to support this. it is the off season and we all do crazy things with no nebraksa football to watch week after week
  11. is it football season yet?

      Happy Birthday

  12. 1. NU 2. Mizzou 3. K-State 4. KU 5. ISU 6. CU
  13. kansas football fans or as ignorant as they come. they know basketball and that is about it. i live in kansas and man you would think that ku football have won national championships for years. mizzou fans are just about as bad but not quite. the only know what the newspapers tell them. living down here has made me more of a college football fan beyond nebraska. helps me appreciate other teams and traditons of college football.
  14. agree 100%. i hope with bringing 10 starters back and more depth on the o-line and everyone eles a year older and wiser, we can be a little better.
  15. brett favre says you can be touched. ask the saints
  16. good points. i was at the game and i thought lee threw the ball well just the receivers did not help him much till the 4th. and why we didnt try to run more of the VT game plan that we had is just beyond me. gabbert is just a big puss when it came time to play a team that hit him in the mouth. i think he has all the tools to one day be a good nfl qb IF and only IF he grows some balls and learns not to be afraid. on a side note... could it be just me or could gary pinkle be the worst football coach in the big 12? now i am talking x's and o'x here cause the man can recruit. but he is soooooo bad when it comes to his game day duties. sorry maybe just me...
  17. great point fro daddy. its how you play in games. and i would say dillard showed he was a gamer this year.
  18. You're right. If Taylor were our QB with the '09 team, we would've been a one-loss team (as long as the WRs could do their jobs). Taylor had a great arm...wait for until...the final pass of his Nebraska career vs Auburn. Down but still in the game, we needed a 4th down conversion, and what does Taylor do? He throws an uncatchable ball that lands 15 feet OOB. Essentially, he gave up. To me, that's the one thing QBs never do. Unfortunately, that mentality personified Callahan QBs from that day forward. true but i think taylor was tough. do your remember that michigan game where he was on his back ALL game? he was unloaded on almost every play and all he did was lead his team to a victory against an underachieving yet still very good michigan squad. not saying you are wrong because i see what you are saying but i think taylor was a very underrated qb.
  19. rome is the man! jmo... he pimps nebraska because he is, like his nickname states... "the pimp in the box" GOODNIGHT NOW!!!!
  20. i would have to go with touchdown tommie as my #1. the one qb which i find that no one has talked about to help us turn the page in the switch from a option style offense to the west coast is zac taylor. i know he could no run the ball as well as ganz or even lee for that matter, but he threw one of the best balls i think nebraska has ever had. you put him in this year and i think we could easly be a 1 loss team if not better. just my opinion.
  21. tyler moore was on that list as 2nd team as well
  22. damn man going out on a limb here. but i do think you have a good point and or question. from where we were with callahan's last year to where we ended after bo's first year, you can kinda see why people would love bo as much as, well, we do. most people in husker nation wanted or would have entertained the desire to higher bo after solich was let go. for me, i can see that if in say 5-8 years from now we are stuck at a point of going 10-3 year in a year out, maybe people start to question bo's head coaching competency. just as people were doing to osborne when he was about 5-10 years into his head coaching career. only time will tell what will happen IF that would happen. for right now though, IN BO I TRUST!
