It is not smart to bet on "your team" to many emotions and you can screw yourself in many ways. I dont bet on Nebraska every week, just when I think the books have made a mistake. I try and fin the games that the books either value a team to much or not enough, (OSU last year was a good example- they sucked and didnt even belong on the same field as USC) anyway- emotions can be described as a roller coaster, you are up when you score and down when the other team does something good. But when you know you have covered you get the feeling of pride and accomplishment. The move on the the next game and roll the dough on that game. If you want my opinions on week 1- Boise state should be able to cover but the spread is a little high more my taste -5.5 for boise, wait to see if it comes down a little next week then jump. NC State at -4 is ok, would prefer 3 or 3.5 - again NC state is going to win IMO and should win by a lot but just to be safe I am waiting to make a move. I like OSU v georgia- -6 for OSU so this is a wait and see game. OU- is going to absolutely murder BYU- I have action on OU at -21 VT should also kill Alabama- those guys are overrated by the books. I will be getting action on that game as well. for sh#ts and giggles- Texas -40 might also see some money from me.

I hope you guys get to enjoy your Tool box red and white cans, I will not be buying the UT or A&M cans this fall- even if I have to drink another brand. I will say it is a great marketing idea. I went to a wedding this weekend that had both orange & white cans (Clemson) and garnet & black cans (South Carolina) and it was kinda cool. Everyone had they're team's colored can. So have you heard if Clemson and SC are putting up a stink about them? I am just trying to figure out if ISU and Iowa are the dumbest Universities in the nation. Nothin but fun haters. I haven't heard anything, I know since they first came out with the aluminum bottles, they've had orange ones in Clemson, and as far as I know nothing was ever said. I have not heard of any problems with it and by judging on the votes via the bu light link above, Maroon and White is winning by 5% over anyone else. So those hicks in college station are eating (drinking) this up!

Yes, I have... I have won and lost (have not kept track to date) I bet online every week. Won a little money last year after being up huge on non-conference games. Of note, I had USC v Ohio state last year (easy money) I will not be betting Nebraska week 1 v FAU? why, 21.5 is a lot in my opinion with an untested QB and now the #2 RB missing from the team. I am 100% sure they will win but I like to watch the first week to gauge the teams. it is good times to bet one games and adds a little more intrigue into the match up.

Nu might have tickets available but our alumni society in Houston bought them from the Baylor ticket office at $40 a pop. We have 90 ish people going from the Houston area. Dallas is ok, would also try Austin- depending on cost from your location and cost of flight. Southwest is having a huge one day sale today only. Driving distance is generally about the same, maybe shorter from Austin. The area around the Baylor stadium is not very safe after dark, pick a hotel along the interstate or close to it. There are 2 bars within walking distance to the stadium so plan on going somewhere else after the game. baylor has homecoming that weekend. Hope you enjoy the trip.

This brings me to something else, who/when did the removing of shoes start when the huskers kickoff or after PAT's/ FG's??? When I was there in 2001 season, i didnt see any of this... 2002 -2003 a little more and now a lot more. I have a feeling this started before 2002 but i thought I would ask. BTW- what is your opinion of this, stupid? cool? I think it is the stupidest thing in the entire world.

I am coming in from Houston the same time, and am heading straight to the Las Vegas watch party via cab. I am told it takes 10 minutes to get there. My buddies will be there already waiting and I assume liquored up. Guess I will play catchup!!!

I just called them like an hour ago and they are sold out of tickets in the visitors section, NU ticket office is also sold out as well. I tired section 101-103 (visitors) and sections 1-3 and got nothing, tired to get 4 tickets. They lady that I talked to was a real B*tch BTW. Let me know if you have any luck. Online is also not available. Yeah, I've been trying their ticket office. They are really b*tchy there. were you able to find out any additional information? anything I have not mentioned already?
