  1. Listening to Sirius this evening, Adam Rittenberg, or one of the other two on the pod cast said, He shouldn't be on the hot seat, but with all the openings coming up, he might just decide to leave. Seems highly unlikely. But you hear just about anything on these things to get listeners and hits on their web sites I think..
  2. Considered the game that ended Nebraska's elite level program.
  3. I think she/he is very opinionated. Have questioned her posts since day one. I am 100% correct on this topic.
  4. Crazies and anti Frost? I don't think there is anyone on here that is anti Frost. No winter without it. Sorry wrong frost. I think everyone on this board would accept Coach Frost if he is hired. Some think he maybe a little young yet, some think he won't come here, some may have someone above him, but no one is against Scott Frost. He is our hero, a legend and appears to be a great coach. Why would anyone be against him if he is hired. The bandwagon will be so full, and 99.9 will say they are glad it happened. I think you are reading the board wrong.
  5. As witnessed in this thread some people are 100% correct on every topic. But after review, not quite so much.
  6. I think Coach Bohl has improved over the years. He has built a dynasty and has moved on to another challenge. I really don't think I would have a problem with him being our head coach, but I do not see anything dynamic about it. We need a young energetic coach to bring fire back. A guy the kids can look at say yea, I want to be part of what he wants to build. Just don't see that in Coach Bohl. I have been on Coach Whittingham ever since Callahan was fired. Still thinks he fits our style. Still recruits kids and makes them into players Plus Coach Bohl has been here before, and not sure he would come running back to what he dealt with before. And it is even worse now.
  7. She does admit to stalking him for years. lol Wife, Agent, Mother.
  8. Glad you found something to control the seizures. I have a story you will not believe regarding guy that used race for me. If interested PM me and I will get the info to you.
  9. I have had the feeling that Jessica0 and the Sock Puppet were the same, or Mrs. Frost. But have re evaluated that idea. Just another crazy Nebraska fan who only wants the best for Nebraska.
  10. Your opinion is what I need sir!!!! I know this is home. But he just seems to much like Coach Osborne. Character. I just don't see him quitting UCF at this time.
  11. Okay Mr. Knapplcknows!!! Is he coming to Nebraska in your opinion? Sorry I don't put much faith in what many others say on this board. And a lot less recently, they seem to be coming out of the woodwork. Good for Eric and Blackshirt I guess. lol
  12. I must admit I was one of those. I knew he was, had watched him trounce the Trojans. Friend/Boss USC alum and letterman said it was the one game every year he was afraid of. He felt that Coach Riley only needed the right backing. He was wrong, and I was to. Credit where it is deserved. Sorry. But as much as I hate to say this, I don't think Coach Frost is coming here, and I really would like to find someone that is better prepared to take on what this program puts them thru. Will he be able to handle the fans of this program, he has heard the boos come from the stands at memorial. He knows how bad this group wants to win, to return to elite.
  13. A man is only as good as his word. If he doesn't stand behind it, why would he the next time. Sorry ingrained answers from my Grand Father, the Marine Corps and my personal code of conduct. As Aaron Taylor said, he is not about money. He has more than enough currently. The family thing, having the grandchild close to mom and dad, maybe a much bigger club than the millions of dollars some want to throw at him. Really had not given that a thought to be honest.
  14. It took Devaney longer than that, Osborne 23 years I think. How do you come up with this stuff. If he went to Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson possibly. He is not going to win a NC at Nebraska in 5 years. This is exactly why we are called unrealistic. Run our mouths, talk the talk and fall down the stairs.
  15. What he did when he left the first time and then again when he left the second time is what has destroyed his chances of ever coaching a major program, not to mention his continued childish actions at YTS.
  16. The real question here JessicaO is, is it easier to recruit to Tennessee or Nebraska. That is what will be compared. Few coaches in college football would take this job. No matter the amount of money that was offered. Half on this board would drop over dead with a top 5 class. Comments are always on this board, you need to coach them up. So if you are good coach and feel you can coach them up, you pick the place that has the best talent on hand. See Urban Meyers turning down his dream job at Notre Dame and taking the Florida job.
  17. If I was doing the coaching, I would consider every aspect. What do the schedules look like the next 5 years. The level of talent supposed at each place. The level of support I felt I would get from the AD after conversations. Learn a little about the fan base of each. Check out facilities if allowed at both sites. Then take into consideration of weather, the state and options I could do when not embroiled in coaching. IE hunting, mountain hiking, overall which state fit the things I liked to do. The things my family like to do. Having a son born in Tennessee and living there for a few years. Being involved with Loretta Lynn's dude ranch in the past and having very close friends in Knoxville, I love Tennessee. Love Nebraska in a different way. Home If everything at the University is the same, I would take Tennessee. Two reasons, it is a fantastic, beautiful state, and my attitude is you have to beat the best to be the best. I don't look for the easy way, Coaches, the level that these programs need don't either. If I am good enough I want to prove it against the best. The best by far resides in the SEC West. To win the NC someone every year has to beat Alabama. You get your chance there. If I was Scott Frost, I would stay at UCF and finish my dream and promise. Be it two years or 5 years, or forever. No hard feelings from me if he decides to follow his dream, and not every Nebraskans dream/desire.
  18. Not what I said at all. You and only you are responsible for your actions. We will just agree to disagree. I appreciate your explanations.
  19. I don't pass judgement on him. I call the use of it a desire, not a necessity. It may very well be as some say. But he stands to lose millions of dollars if he doesn't clean up his act, and I for one would be doing everything in my power to do what the NFL wanted from me to keep the access to the money. I hope he kicks it. I never like to see people fail. I did stretch the truth a little there. I had bi-lateral knee replacement a few years back, was prescribed Vicodin and took them for a week. Then thru them away. 2 months is normal I guess. I know I piss people off at times. I admit I see things differently than most of you. But there is nothing I say to you guys and ladies that I would not say to your face.
  20. Never CDog. I saw at a young age what it did and what it could do to you. My father in a drunken rage, burnt our dump of house down. My mother was the Black Sheep of the family. Disowned for her actions. Which was deserved. Don't drink coffee or smoke, and no tatoos. Pretty hard to fathom being an old Jar Head. I was always the Marine watching the door, fighting my drunk buddies fights, protecting them and driving them home. It was always my job, because I didn't partake in the booze. I can have a great time around others that do. Just some thing I never wanted to do.
  21. Vector, quite possibly as ignorant as you say. I did not attend college, but am now at 70 years old My opinions are off of real life experiences, not some test or study. Can you confirm that he has a prescription for Medical marijuana? Can you confirm he was on medication for depression prior to his use of MJ? Stating it is well documented does not really tell us the story. What it says to me, my opinion, is that Nebraska continually tried to protect him, and get him to the NFL. I have dealt with this stuff for many years, a Lifer in the Marine Corps. I have owned 5 businesses that I started, built and sold. Have had hundreds of employees with these claimed problems. Used to see it daily. Still see some "sick ones" dangling on 200 foot towers, that I build. Licensed/certified climbers that need it to do their job is the story. Three weeks ago I had to have helicopter brought to a site to get a Medical marijuana impaired climber down. Do you have any idea what that cost me? It is a need, a want, a high, an excuse. And of course his use of medical marijuana was not listed in his health screen. He would not have been hired if it had been, trust me. It is now being sold as a medicine to escape the laws about it. I live in the mountains of SoCal, 20 acre plots, at least 5 of these plots around me are grow locations. Which are totally illegal, but the Riverside County Sheriff will not do anything about them. I have a rental property turned into a grow house. Over 200K done in damage. The only thing they could be charged with was eliminating the electrical meter. A felony, but destroying my property had no bearing. There are over 1500 illegal grow houses in the Sacramento area. All for medical MJ . Recreational use sale becomes legal in this state soon. There is a Medical Office in Hemet, that you walk in the door, and hundreds do, that they will write a prescription for you on site and sell you the product you need. Then they stumble out the door and hang around businesses and actually drive customers away. Nothing is done about it. Now if you can provide me with a history that Randy was seeing a doctor using prescription drugs before he was using POT. Then I would consider it a fact. But you are just repeating what you have been told. I know Randy missed quite a few games at Nebraska, and it was mentioned he was using MJ. Never saw proof of that to be fair. I grew up with an alcoholic father and mother in East Omaha, and several drunk/druggie live in boyfriends that my mother drug home. Life was not the greatest, but I learned very young, that 99% of the time you choose your route. You control what you want to be, how you get there. And again, thank you Grand Pa, god rest your soul. Makes you a little different. I have never drank a beer, never smoked a joint or done any other type of drugs. Because I chose not to. So I know you can come from a bad situation and not be dependent on something to escape. I have close friends that use it. But they all seem to be honest about it. They like how they feel when they use it. Everything now seems to have an excuse, it is never the fault of the killer, the rapist, the drug dealer. Something from their past is always the reason. Daddy hit me, mommy didn't feed me. The teacher was mean to me, girls were mean to me, I am depressed, I have Red hair, what ever it takes. Legal defense.
