  1. This may be true. I don't believe anyone (I'm probably wrong) is saying getting a degree from a University means your are automatically more intelligent than people without. I'm working on my 2nd degree, my brother has zero. Yet he is better off financially and probably has a better grasp on life. I would willingly say that he is smarter than me. What I believe is that if you want to go to a University and play sports, you have to meet the standards of the school and the NCAA (or whatever athletic association that school is a part of). Which includes High School GPA and/or ACT, SAT scores. A great musician/artist doesn't need a college to be successful. Braylon (if his goal is to make football a successful career) needs college to play his sport. He needs to meet the standards set forth. I was speaking generally, not really about Heard. It sucks he still hasn't been able to get in, but hopefully this summer.
  2. I noticed no one has mentioned the fact that standardized tests measure "left brain" only. There is no room for creativity or the intelligence and abilities of writers, artists, musicians, etc. The problem is that tests measure one kind of intelligence, mostly rote memory and math/logic. But who is to say a mathematician is any smarter or more intelligent than a gifted painter or poet? Society has placed importance and superiority on left brain abilities over right brain abilities, but there are many types of intelligence.
  3. We would be so f'd if Bo left. Are there any good coordinators or coaches out there with Nebraska as an alma mater? We'd need to get one of those guys to ensure it didn't happen again. Bo just doesn't seem happy here to me, I hope he stays but I feel like it's only a matter of time. He'd better not sell out and leave us now.
  4. They're also playing with a stacked deck if they're not downright cheating. They have looser standards for letting players in, and they over-sign recruits. That's not even counting the players they push from the program who don't contribute in order to free more scholarships. They do anything to win and have no ethical qualms about who they screw over to do it. Some programs have ethics and standards. You don't think a school like Notre Dame, with the sheer resources they have, could do the same thing if they wanted? That's just one example.
  5. Sade decommitted? There's one of your effects.
  6. No. We're tired of wondering "what if?" We're tired of the excuses. We're tired of the penalties, of the turnovers, of the predictable and unoriginal play calling. Keep clinging to your laughable reasons for defending awful coaching, but the "what if?" game has run its course. Time for action - time for a new coordinator.
  7. Just as Rome will never again be a world power, neither will Nebraska return to former glory. Nothing lasts forever and I'm proud to say we had one of the greatest dynasties in CFB history. But this game made me realize that we just plain f'ing suck. We play down to our competition and our offense is f'ing laughable. I hope neighborhood children throw dozens of footballs through Watson's windows tonight and take sh#ts on his doorstep. And do you know what makes me most sick? It wasn't the Groza committee that cost Henery the award. It wasn't the NCAA or the Big 12. It was Watson and his dipsh*t squad who couldn't move the ball to within our kicker's 60 yard field goal range. Think about that for a second. No second half points against OU. We have the best kicker who maybe ever lived. He can damn near hit it from half a field away, and we still can't move it well enough to get 3 points. Tonight - couldn't get within range again. When you think about it, it's downright pathetic. Get rid of this moron and maybe we'll have a remote chance for a decent season next year.
  8. Hey we just got f'ing steamrolled by a pathetic 6-6 Washington. Recruits will know this. Take that for what it's worth.
  9. The only positive is that there should be offensive staff changes. Washington sucks ASS. They are f'ing awful. There are no words to describe how bad they are. We obliterated them the first game and we lost this game because we were disappointed and our offensive coordinator is a high-functioning retard. The negatives: we will lose more recruits, our once-promising class will dwindle to something that is once again mediocre, and we will have a horrible off-season before the ass-pounding we will inevitably take next year in conference play. Watson should have been let go last year and Holgerson hired. Bo better sack up and get rid of the last remnant of the Callahan era. Watson can go eat a dick.
  10. Once again we realize all too late what works. Watson MUST GO.
  11. THEY KNOW WHAT WE ARE GOIN TO DO BEFORE WE DO IT HOLY sh#t. WE ARE SO f'ing PREDICTABLE. Get Watson the f#*k out of here and those who defend him can f#*k off.
  12. There go a few recruits this pathetic opponent is 6-6. And we thought we were top 10 when will you learn we have NO OFFENSE.
  13. Ten points that we should get but won't. Watson will see to that.
  14. f#*k this whole team they claim "finish" they claim "beat Texas" and I have never been more disgusted and that includes 2007. This is totally unforgivable.
  15. Atm all over again penalties, turnovers, angry bo, complete offensive stagnation.
  16. This will be a miracle if we win this once again our defense is all we have. f'ing adjust watson!
  17. This offense is awful holy sh#t how do you not have something ready? You knew UW would try to stop the run how the hell do you not know that will happen? This is unforgivably pathetic.
  18. At this point I will take a loss if it means Watson is gone... I can't endure another year of this sh#t.
