  1. I was being sarcastic. I know he didn't go out of his way to make him irrelevant. But he sure did a fantastic job of doing it.
  2. I watched every game and they double teamed Williams more than Suh. Watch all of the games and most of the snaps before you say Suh got the majority of double teams. Did Suh get doulbe teamed? Every so often he did but they still doubled Williams more and considering i watched all of the lions compared to your several.. Agree to disagree. NFL teams don't double team a team's 2nd best DT and leave the best one 1 on 1. Sorry, doesn't happen. Williams is a nice player, but he's no Suh. NFL teams are aware of this, and gameplan accordingly.
  3. I watched several. I'm no Lions fan and I'm well aware of who Corey Williams is. No reason for teams to double team him and leave Suh one on one. Think about what you're saying.
  4. McNeil should have been drafted, he's got the talent. But I'm not the least bit surprised he wasn't. Watson did everything in his power to make him irrelevant the last two seasons.
  5. No chance that farley will be a starting DT unless we put Suh at LE. We have this other DT named COREY WILLIAMS, he is a BEAST and was a lot of the reason why Suh had such a great statistical year. They constantly double teamed Williams and let Suh go one on one. Its going to take a few years for farley to develop into the player that will draw double teams.. In the games I watched it was Suh being double teamed...
  6. Pierre had an absolutely abysmal combine, as did Ricky Henry. Pretty much cost those two any shot at being drafted. That's what I don't get about the combine. Sure, measurables are nice, but in my opinion, the only thing that matters is how they play when they step onto that field.. If the NFL were smart they'd completely ignore the combine except in cases of injury testing and interviews. More teams have had their drafts destroyed by the combine than have been helped by it. Heck because of the combine and both players putting up similar numbers how many scouts and experts put Gerald McCoy equal to or better than Suh last year? Detroit is just lucky Matt Millen isn't their GM anymore... course he probably would have passed on both and gone WR instead. Yeah he would have absolutely took Dez Bryant #2 overall.
  7. I've heard of Helu and seen him play. I can't recall the other ones. Are they good? Gomes is very good. Ball hawk. Paul is great to laugh at. Like a clown. He's Washington's problem now.
  8. As a Cowboys fan, I really don't like where the Huskers are being sent in this draft
  9. You must have missed the part where he said that the KSU game was the only game he watched. If K State or Okie State were all I had to go on, I'd think he was Superman too. Wow...So far Tom Osborne has said the OSU game was the best game he has EVER seen a Husker QB have. And now Urban Meyer says that hes one of the best athlete hes ever seen (and he coached at Florida in case you forgot) and Bo Pelini trusts him enough to start him as a freshman and all he does is break QB rushing records for a game and earn freshman all american honors....comes up 40 yards short of being only the 3rd fresman EVER..to rush for over 1000 yards as a freshman (hurt half the year)..and all some of you want to do is bash him. What else could you possibly want. Tom Brady with Micheal Vicks Legs?...i mean come on give the kid some respect for crying out loud. Some of you guys are ridiculous. Your a better judge of talent then Tom Osborne, Bo Pelini, and Urban Meyer? Unless your Bill Belichick, hanging out on a Husker football board....i'll take their judgement over yours anyday. You Martinez fanboys are zealots. I mean, real zealots. If anyone doesn't declare him God's Gift, you swarm and attack like zombies. Here is Meyer's quote: What you have is basically Meyer saying he watched us play K State and witnessed one of the best performances by a quarterback he's ever seen. We can all agree with that. Unfortunately, that wasn't always the story with Martinez, was it? He blew ass against SDSU, Texas, and then ever single game after his injury. If Meyer had bothered to sit down and watch the SDSU or Texas game, you think he'd feel the same way? Maybe if he'd bothered to watch those games he wouldn't be shocked when Martinez "had a few games where he didn't play as well." This is what you Martinez nuts will never get: Yes the kid had some sensational plays last year, but he also had some unbelievably bad games. He was as bad against SDSU and Texas as he was good against K State and Okie State. When you average "terrible" with "sensational," what do you get? No, really go ahead and take a few minutes to think it through. Honestly if Urban Meyer watched the Texas game he'd probably think "the QB played well, but the WRs couldn't catch a cold". That's a really bad example of Taylor having a bad game.
  10. I don't have an ideal QB type. Tommie Frazier is my favorite QB of all time, so I gues that would be my ideal QB type. I don't care how you produce, as long as you produce. The idea that Taylor isn't a QB is just factually incorrect.
  11. As bold of a statement as this may be, I think when it is all said and done that these two will be in a class by themselves. Really can't compare anyone to Reggie IMO. He's always reminded me of Reggie White A LOT.
  12. Suh to the outside a la Reggie White?
  13. Miami took Daniel Thomas. I don't think Helu is going there lol.
  14. 1. Helu 2. 4th 3. Gomes 4. 174 5. Dolphins 6. 8 7. 151
  15. Nice pick for Cincy. Dalton is better than Ponder and Locker IMO.
  16. Wow really? Certainly weren't picking for need.
  17. lol Roger Goodfail. Can someone just can that clown already?
  18. I like this pick. Ray Lewis should solve any character issues Smith may have.
  19. FAR AND AWAY the worst pick of the draft. They could have gotten Prince or another quality player and took Ponder in the 3rd round if they really wanted him. Hell, maybe even the fourth. Just a bone-headed, puzzling pick.
